“ I earned quite a bit during the transition and given the fact that I have our budget planned out for the future based on our current people and numbers. I think whoever we get needs to be paid a one-time hire bonus with a much lower stipend than I have for your clan and tribe. I am thinking something along the lines of a hundred million for the bonuses and the stipend payment being along the lines of about a million a year after the five-year sign-on.”
As if it heard him, the selection of personnel trimmed away to those in the mentioned guidelines. Silve tapped the table a few times and those that were grayed out as being unavailable were removed as well. Gark also did the same and it was further reduced to species already on the continent. David has an idea and each individual had other people join them. Adding the families to the choices. This caused some to go over the budgeted amount. David further trimmed the numbers to remove groups that had the new additions be worth more than those that they are really looking for. That still left hundreds of thousands of choices.
Silve was the next to cut the numbers down further even more as he reduced the number by having to add a minimum value of worth. Gark removed, even more, when he added work ethic standards. Then David trimmed it more by removing major criminal connections.
“ From billions to less than a hundred twenty thousand choices. We should look into the big expenses first. The city planners is who I think we need most.”
The majority of the list seemed to fade away as nearly a hundred city planners appeared. David immediately trimmed the fat further by setting to the side any who were known for cutting corners in favor of saving time or cutting costs. He then put those of the opposite problem on the other side. Perfectionists who have no mind for schedules or expense. This left a short list of twelve that the three took to looking at.

David put her in as his suggestion, especially when the last choice was a lycan who never worked on anything larger than a ten-building town. To no one surprise, Silve also chose a dwarf similar to Lode but was a bit younger with a much smaller family. At a five million sign on and hundred thousand a year, which doubles with his family, David did not like the choice but accepted he was probably the best for the money.
Grant choice was also another dwarf. He specialized in roads.
“ Any objection to getting all three?”
Silve blinked a little surprised.
“ Nay, Laddy, all three are within budget and specialized in different applications. This Bracket lass can work on the Warden encampments and bases. She will surely form her own clan...”
Silve starts mumbling as he found what he was looking for. She had her own crew of twenty and it was not for much more than she was. The best part is they all seemed to be exiles with both building and military experience. So no additional family saves for one who had two infants grabbing her chest. Whom cost next to nothing.
“ Agreed, I was always a fan of practical and she better not bitch because she will be getting the best material to work with. If she fails it's her own damn fault, and we will have something in her and her people's contract stating that fact.”
The next was a middle to older dwarf, Castern Platnum, who seemed to be the unwanted brother of a dwarven king. His exile to city planner had allowed him to save his brother's kingdom more than once. This was due to a passion and skill the dwarf had for the profession. David nods seeing the dwarf worth every credit if he took their offer.
The last dwarf, a was another exile and by the biography added, David could tell what drove this dwarf. He liked to travel. Add in the fact he was cheapest of the three, David saw no downsides to adding him as well.
After the big names were picked, the three began looking at workcrews. Some were eliminated because of the numbers introduced to the comunity based on the size of the family that would come with them. Others were eliminated due to some shaddy practices. All in all David considered the afternoon turned evening a successful meeting. When the sun started to set the three decided to pick it up again the next day at the same time.
When David got home he found Azanii already asleep in his bed, on her side of the room was a weapon rack with her spear and her armor on a stand. In addition to a new dresser probably full of her clothing. David smiled seeing her and took a few pictures he saved from his personal store and put them on his dresser as well before laying down to go to sleep as well.
