Chapter 3 

             A month had gone by in a flash Felix had kept his word everyday he ran to the edge of the territory and back, he had become able to run without the use of Junpir's apple but he still ate it whenever he could. After all the apple was delicious, currently Felix was sitting under the tree Junpir was currently inside of he had learned so much more about Dryad's than when he first met her. Junpir had told him that all Dryad's can inhabit any tree they are not bound to it however, they use the tree to feed off its life force, in return the dryads make the trees roots grow even stronger and allowing them to go with no water. Right now the two were talking of silly things such as why the seasons change and what the world is like until Felix had gotten up. 

" Well then Junpir I must go now my mother told me to be back earlier than before this time so I assume it is something of importance I will be on my way. " 

He could feel Junpir's warm essence is what he calls it he does not really know what it is but it fills him inside, it's as if he could feel her smiling at him. 

" Go then no need to keep your mother waiting I will always be here be sure to visit soon. " 

The two had become quite close over the past month Junpir had become more gentle with him since the first time they had met. Felix just gave the tree a big hug and said. 

" I'll be back soon. " 

He had ran for a good 20 minutes before the fields came into view, something seemed different about the atmosphere everyone seemed curious of something but Felix had no idea what. Running over to his mother on the right side of the field she slowly came into view. 

" Mother I'm back, whats going on why is everyone looking towards Guntir's cave." 

Guntir lived in a cave near the back of the fields it was the home of the Alpha wolf of the pack.  

" Felix put on this pelt Guntir brought it for you use it to cover your lower area, you must go to his cave I cannot come with you my child but, be safe. " 

He looked at the strange thing Guntir had given him It looked like two rabbit pelts put together with some kind of string he had no idea what it was. He slowly put his legs through it and used it to cover his lower area like his mother asked. 

" Now go my child. "  

She nudged my shoulder with her snout sending me off towards Guntir's cave. It took a good 5 minutes before I arrived, when I did I heard Guntir call towards me.

" Felix come there are two people here I would like you to meet." 

People I have never heard Guntir use this word, walking over to him I sat down and faced toward the direction he was looking and when I did it surprised me. Honestly I thought I would pass out. 

" Felix this is a noble of the feline tribe and his daughter they are both beastmen like you although you are not exactly the same. " 

I thought over his words for a second before going over and touching my head to their's, beastman huh I have never seen another two legs like me. The man accepted my head touch but the girl jumped back in fright when I did it. This puzzled me as this was a standard greeting for wolves, I soon heard the man speak on behalf of his daughter. 

" Excuse Melony please she does not know the customs of the wolves, my name is Fredrick Von Heister a noble of the feline tribe and an old friend of the wolves." 

" Hello Fredrick I am Felix of the wolves." 

I could see Guntir give me a nod of approval so I backed off from the two, soon after Guntir spoke again. 

" Felix in 1 moons time you will go with Fredrick back to the feline tribe you must go to a school in the human kingdom Felix, we have taught you all we can to hunt, to run, and to sneak. However, Felix we cannot teach you magic, you have a path that we cannot guide you on hopefully you going to the human school will teach you more. In 1 moons time when you go with Fredrick he will teach you to speak the languages as talking with your mind is rude among other races, as most people cannot do it only those that the forest deems worthy can speak with the animals. Fredrick here will teach many things that are necessary for you to live in with the two legs, you can trust him he had been a friend of the wolves since I was just a cub. " 

 This was too much for me to take in I was so confused I gave him a questioning look before asking. 

" Must I go Guntir staying here with the wolves is what I want." 

" You must go young one we cannot help you any longer the path you walk is one of great trials and this will be your first step, do not worry however we will always be here right in this forest. You can return one day when you finish your task young one." 

" Guntir but what are these task you speak of." 

" That is for you to find out I cannot tell you, all will be answered with time." 

I felt anger looking at the two legs in front of me but, I did not scream at them for I knew Guntir never did anything without reason. He had once told me that whatever decision he makes he will never make it unless he is sure this is the way. 

I sighed then spoke once more. 

" Okay in 1 moons time I will go with you Fredrick hopefully you will accept me." 

" Why of course I will accept you Felix and one last thing before we wrap things up. My daughter here will be staying with you for 1 moons time she will come with you when I come back in 1 moon." 

Not just me but Guntir and the girl Melony were surprised at his words as well. 

" You Fredrick are you sure she will be fine here she does not seem like she has it in her to live with wolves." 

" Guntir old friend do not worry I'm sure she can handle it" 

The girl looked a little afraid and worried but she did not object to her fathers idea. 

" Okay I will allow it Felix she will stay with you and your mother guide her as I think you are the best to her to be with, as the only other two leg here. " 

I gave Guntir a nod. 

" I'll do my best Guntir." 

I got up slowly and gave her my hand, it took her a bit but she accepted and followed me out towards the right side of the field where my mother was. 

" Are you sure this is gonna be ok Fredrick what are you planning." 

" Do not worry about a thing old friend it will all turn out okay at least I think." 

" Hmph you two legs always up to something never speaking whats on your mind."  

Fredrick laughed at his words while watching the two leave the cave and walk towards wherever they were going all he could think was. 

' Ahh I remember my youth.'
