“For that, I said. I need to explain the school layout first. The school is basically designed in an extensive circle starting with the administrative office located in the southernmost part of the property. Moving clockwise, there is the largest building on campus which takes up half of the western side. It houses the cafeteria and the main gymnasium. Next to that is the swimming pool, then the utility and maintenance rooms attached to the smaller gymnasium. The smaller gymnasium also contains weight lifting and wrestling rooms. Past that are the P.E. locker rooms and showers.”
“Moving east from there, there is a teacher’s parking lot that also serves as the Ag yard, with the Ag sciences building. Rotating east, back and around towards the front of the school are nine long buildings that hold five classrooms on each side. There is a grass field the length and width of two classroom buildings, followed by the science wing. At the front of the school is the Library, the fine arts building which houses the choir and band rooms, and finally the large theater building next to the main office.”
“There are no perimeter fences on the front and west sides of the school. Instead, the fencing attaches from building to building, starting from the fine arts building to the small gymnasium. On the back side of the gymnasium is a bus lane that wraps back around to the entrance on the other side of the fine arts building. There is a perimeter fence separating the bus lane from the school’s buildings. Past the small gymnasium is the football stadium and the baseball fields. On the campus's east side is the large practice baseball field. The stadium and the two baseball fields have continuous perimeter fencing.”
“The largest gates that would be suitable for our entry would be through the double gate between the main office and the large gym. Or, from the teacher’s parking lot at the back of the property. Both gates can be opened by cutting the padlocks, if whoever holds the place hasn’t already done so. Our primary objective, in addition to clearing out the people holding the place, will be to get to the main office. Most people don’t know this but, in the principal's office there’s a lock box that has duplicate keys to every door on campus. It also has a few master keys that open every door and padlock. Once we clear out any threats we can see, we get to the master keys. We start the long process of securing each building room by room for threats we can’t see.”

“When I pick up the drones and the boys, I will pick up the van as well. We will all fit inside it. Even Dog should fit in it with us if we remove the seats. Everyone will have to sit on the floor for a bit. An almond orchard is northwest of the football stadium. An easement runs west along the housing development fencing for about five city blocks. If we approach from the easement and park a couple blocks down, no one at the school will see us coming.”
“From there we will send out drones and determine how to approach. During the assault, Isadora will be in the driver’s seat of the van. She will be feeding us real time info from what Jace and Travis see on the monitors. If something happens at the van, Isadora can punch it and get the hell out of there quickly. We can all meet here tomorrow before dark and buff up just like we did tonight. That’s about it. Any questions, comments or concerns?”
“Seems pretty straight forward," Pete said. I don’t see any real problems with it so far. However, we won’t be able to make any decisions on how to approach it until we get more info on who is there and how many.”
“Agreed," Joe replied. "What are our contingencies if something goes wrong? Other than bugging out, what are our options?"
"Not much really. Like Pete said, we can’t really plan the assault until we see the opposition force. If there are too many people there, we don’t hit it and regroup and find another location. If it’s a number we are capable of handling, we hit them with overwhelming force. Send as much firepower down range until the threat is dead or flees.”
“It’s a sound plan," Joe said. In the meantime, are you planning to patrol our neighborhood tonight? I wouldn’t want our haul stolen because we were sleeping.”
“Sure can, I said. Besides, I intend to stay up as late as possible so I can sleep tomorrow. I received a "well-rested" bonus for sleeping for four hours. I’d like to see what I can expect for eight hours. I just want to go through my gear and exchange my old vest for the one I liberated from that ass-hat TJ. Did we get any helmets with the house gear?"
"Yeah," Pete said. Some nice new MICH helmets too. Looks like they got an order in before the shit show started.”
“Nice, I said. I’ll definitely come over to get one of those.”
