Arc 3 - Chapter 5: Preparing Against the [H] Clan

Chapter 5: Preparing Against the [H] Clan

The aftermath of the attack caused a major impact on the village. Most of the village either had their friends and family killed or their home and property were destroyed. Everyone had to help each other out, which wasn't hard due to the fact that the village had three mages.

The attack was finally over, but everyone was afraid of the retaliations of the [H] Clan. Killing one of their inner members will definitely warrant their full wrath.

As the one to cause the problem, Soula left to train in seclusion after teaching several of his otherworld techniques on qi and mana cultivation to his friends and families.

At Soula's home, his parents were having a conversation away from other prying ears.

"Should we tell them, if the [H] Clan really attacks, it's possible that they might send a saint. If I reveal my true power, then I might be able to defeat them."

"We can't! The reason that you had your powered sealed was to make sure the other clans do not learn of your existence. If the other clans learn that you are a Void Draconian, then the Esmantiev clan members will pursue us."

"We can't repel the attack otherwise. Besides, so what if they learn about me, we can go into hiding. Also, Soula is officially not related to the Esmantiev clan, so they won't pursue him. It's also great that he will travel the continent with no set home for the next few years."

Soula's mother went silent, remembering when she first witness his true power.

"Then again, Soula might actually be stronger than me. I mean for peak sakes Lelia, his Oversoul is already at the 6th Gate. At his age, I was only at the 5th Gate, and I was considered the clan genius. Right now he can defeat me if he went all out, but even he won't be able to defeat a saint at his current level."

"I still don't want you to activate your divine form. You may be a void dragon, but the void is related to death. The more you use the laws of void, the faster your death will come."

"And that is why I must reach the saint level. Once I become a saint, my lifespan will only disappear when I am killed. I will be able to freely use the powers of void."

Both grew silent, then Dai spoke again, "We also have to show Soula about his powers. Even if he's an Amethyst Void Dragon, he should still have some of my powers. We need to show him what he is capable of."

"Let's just hope your death won't be the price for his lesson."

At the core area of the Salty Lake Forest, three figures could be seen training. Blasts of magic and qi struck the surrounding area, damaging many parts of the forest.

"Argh! Why can't I reach the 7th Rank? My progress was great until I reached the 6th Gate." Shouted an annoyed Ruka.

"Are you crazy! Most people should be satisfied with the 6th Rank in warriors training. We don't have the talent like Soula, and besides after the 6th Rank training becomes exceptionally harder. You just reached the 6th Rank a little while ago, so don't be selfish."

"What about Runa, she's already a peak 7th Rank mage."

"She trained hard while you went around eating crepes. Soula always complained about making too much for you."

Fikkle bickering could be heard between Rudy and Ruka. The observing Runa only watched them for a moment, then turned away and resumed training.

Hundreds of miles away, a lone man stood amongst a city of corpses. The name of the city was Alania, the headquarters of the [A] clan.

"Hmm, so only 12 clans are left. Without saints, the other clans have no chance in the clash of clans." The lone figure kept walking, occasionally kicking away a corpse from his path.

Walking towards the center of the city, he came upon a man lying down. Flies permutated the air, but mostly stuck to the lying man. The smell of death was in the air, as the man slowly looked up, a hint of qi surrounded him, but immediately flickered away.

"Hmm? You're still alive eh. Well, might as well play with you." Taking out his sword, the man started to hack at the dying man's body.

"Right arm, left toe, right eye, left ball sac, right nipple, left hand, right pinkie, left ear, right butt cheek, right foot." For every part he stated, the dying man had those parts fly from him. Strangely, no blood poured out from the many obvious fatal wounds.

The dying corpse looked up, then said, "The [G] Clan will fall one day, but it's too bad that I won't live to see it."

Looking down upon him, the standing executor said, "Neither will I." Slashing at the neck, the corpse's head rolled along the dirt.

Leaving the city, a person appeared next to him and handed him a written message, all while kneeling in fear of disrespecting the mighty executioner. Opening the message, the man quickly read his next mission. The last words he read were, "Do not fail us Akim."

Akim looked up, and smiled. "I won't."

There are rumors that there are floating continents in the sky. These rumors state that the fighters of the continent should only enter the continents of Mu after they reach the saint level.

Soula was currently talking with his absorbed soul Labbu. He was flying over the 1st continent of Mu, which he learned about from Labbu.

"So you originally got your power from Mu, but because of your fight with Tishpak, your power greatly weakened and you settled in Salty Lake Forest?"

"Yes, originally the founders of our mesopotamian culture emerged from Mu. All myths and legends from our culture are born from Mu as spirits. So technically Mu is my home continent."

"So this is the best place to train for me. From what you said, this is the first island Tepoyage, the founders of Egypt."

"The monsters here consist of several minor egyptian gods and many of their mythological creatures. Also, it is rumored that Horus sometimes come here to train his servants."

(Note: Horus is one of the main egyptian gods: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus)

"Hmm, is it a good idea to kill him for me to reach the 7th Gate?"

"Of course! He's a god for peaks sake, and he's also considered a BOSS class monster. Sometimes you can find one of his avatars which are Elites, and even absorbing those are beneficial. Your goal is to reach the 7th Gate before the possible attack of a Saint right?"

"Of course, so I better get to training then."

Diving down, Soula descended at an amazing rate until he turned at a horizontal angle. Firing off magic blasts as he went, Soula watched as his EXP slowly rise.

Aurum spoke to him in his head. "Hey Boss, some monsters that survived are now chasing you. Should I take care of them?"

"No, your body is technically an item now, and it is extremely hard to repair. If your health reaches too low, then we'll have to abandon it."

Turning around, Soula blasted the monsters with [Spiral Arrows] barely making a dent in his mana. Since his soul is more powerful than his mind, his mana regen was very powerful, so he only spent up to the max regen amount per sec. But considering his regen is three times as powerful as a Rank 10 mage's full mana capacity, he had room to spare.

Right now Soula has to train as much as he can. Although he is generally stronger than most people, he still isn't strong enough to fight a saint. All saints train in the elemental laws, and can call upon their powers to use them.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

"Maybe I should unlock some of my memories," thought Soula. Due to his skill [Memory Inventory] Soula kept his memories of his acquired knowledge on the elemental laws under lock. His body may not be able to withstand the knowledge yet.

"Well maybe just one law." Defeating all monsters in a 5 mile radius, Soula went into a meditative position on the ground. Inside his mind, his sealed memories were in the millions. Accessing one of them, Soula released the memories.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH," an incredible amount of pain came as he called upon one of his favorite laws

[Elemental Laws of Void: Time]

One of the hardest laws to master in the elemental laws of void. Soula's main use for this particular law is to create a separate timeline for him and have his body react to a faster time. For example, 10 seconds to him would be 1 second to others.

With a hint of a divine aura surrounding him, Soula now has a certain amount of knowledge on the laws of time, but he doesn't have all knowledge yet. Until he gets stronger, he will not be able to fully remember the exact laws.

With an increase to his DEX, AGI, SOUL, and Divine Power Soula became stronger by quite a bit. Training in the laws of the universe would also make the body stronger.

"Wow, you just got stronger real fast." Aurum spoke.

"But it's still not enough." He kept training.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time passed, and Soula was now resting at some sort of pyramid he found.

"With my increase in Divine Power, I can now sort of sense others with a divine aura now."

He is here because he suspects that Horus might be in this structure.

"Well, might as well call him out." And with that, Soula blew up the pyramid.

Casting a huge spell causing the structure to collapse, a commanding voice shouted out, “WHO DARES DISTURB MY TOMB.”

Coming out was a man with an eagle's head. No other description is needed as Soula instantly destroyed him.

"Not him either. Just another avatar."

This was the fifth avatar of horus he has destroyed. Soula was looking for the original to take on as his next soul to absorb.

"I HAD ENOUGH OF YOU DESTROYING MY CLONES!!!" Suddenly from where the avatar was destroyed, a majestic being similar to the avatar appeared. But this time, it was the original Horus. He was the same size as a normal person, and was holding two items. Using [Identify] Soula checked out his status.

[Egyptian God] Horus Lv: 999 BOSS

"Well this isn't good. Luckily I destroyed several of his avatars." The avatars of Horus are all made from his power. The avatars all share the same health as their creator, so if they're destroyed, the creator takes some damage as well.

"DIE!" Immediately charging, Soula didn't even bother answering and fired off one [Spiral Arrow] per second, infused with 36,683 mana infused in each arrow.

Spell damage is only proportional to the spell rank. For example, if you have 10 spell damage and you use a Rank 1 spell, it will do 10 damage per every 1000 times the rank infused mana infused. In this case, since Soula used a Saint Rank spell, he will do 20,000 damage for every 10,000 mana he uses. So every arrow does 733,660 damage, making Soula having to hit Horus about twenty times. Sounds simple right, if only Horus wasn't capable of dodging almost all of Soula's attacks.

"Maybe one arrow a second isn't enough. Let's try 10." Changing from quality to quantity, Soula fired of ten arrows per second as they both flew in the air.

One side firing a mass of projectiles while another is dodging and slowly getting slower. Soula could hear Horus chanting.

يا إله الشمس المشرقة (O God of the Rising Sun)

إرسال العقاب المناسب على الخصم خاصتك (Send the appropriate punishment on your opponent)

صلاحيات النار وممتاز (The powers of Fire and Stellar)

(9th Rank Spell) التاسع رتبة الإملائي

الأشعة الشمسة(Solar Radiation)

(Used google translation, so not accurate Arabic)

Saying that, a disk of fire appeared above him. A strange magic circle appeared, gathering all of the elemental essences of fire and stellar.

(Made it using Weave Silk)

"W-What is that?" Surprised, Soula fled in case, and that was the right choice. Where he once was, a blast of energy attacked in the direction. Behind him at that time was another island floating nearby, but as the blast of energy travelled towards it, the whole island started to explode.

"Ignis, what the hell was that?"

"Well, it seems that he used a magic circle to boost his magic capabilities. Magic circles are the life and blood of mages past the 8th Rank, but they are really hard to learn."

"So that magic circle help boost the attack, what does it do specifically?"

"The circle literally translates to [+100% Spell Damage] [+150% Fire Damage] and [Absorb Surrounding Mana For Consumption (5 Minutes)]. Which is quite a rare circle as most circles only give one effect. Fun fact, you can't take a hit, so either flee or quickly defeat the opponent."

"Hey, do you have any magic circles?"

"I do, but they are not suited for you."

Horus flew towards Soula, with the floating magic circle above his head. The beam was continuing to fire still as the spell was still active. Soula saw that this was a perfect chance.

"All right, here goes nothing. [Spiral Arrow] infusion 1,000,000 mana."

An arrow flew towards Horus, making a hole appear on his chest. A bright red number pops up.

-1,997,110

Instantly depleting all of his health, Horus died.
