Chapter 7: Team Divine Law
While waiting for the other two siblings, Soula tried to figure out whether something was going on between Regi and Runa. He was sure both felt attracted to each other, but other than that he was clueless.
From the door came in three people. Obviously two were the siblings Rudy and Ruka, but there was an unknown girl next to Rudy.
"Hey Ruka, Rudy. Is that your new girlfriend Rudy?" inquired Runa. Flushing red, the unknown girl shook her head and quickly replied, "No I'm not. I'm Ruka's friend Erica."
"This is my new friend Erica. She's a talented warrior at the early 6th rank in qi cultivation."
"She usually spars with me and Ruka, so we both easily became friends."
"What are you talking about? Since when were we friends Rudy?"
"WHAT! Were not?"
Seeing the comedic trio, the observing Regi was amused. Seeing that she was here for a reason, Soula thought she was going to be recommended into forming a team with them.
"So is she here to join."
"Yeah, and I see that you have a recommendation too. What's his name."
"Hello, my name is Regi. I'm Soula's classmate and a apprentice crafter."
Including the new members, the yet to form team now consists of six people. Taking time to know each other, everyone spent the next few minutes introducing themselves.
"Wow, how do you have such beautiful skin Soula?"
"I have a skill called [Body Manipulation Technique: Body Purification] that removes impurities from me including dead skin and foreign fluids."
"Wow, what a convenient skill."
"Well, it makes you look more like a girl."
"Speaking of which, why do you keep your long short Soula. Although you insist you’re a guy you definitely will convince people you’re a girl."
“Well, ever since I absorbed Medusa, my [Black Amethyst Hair] is able to be controlled.” Proving his point, Soula had his hair form a hand-like mass and do various finger motions.
“Hey, so what should our team name be.”
“Galactic Star!”
“L*pin the III!”
“P*wer R*ngers!”
“How about Divine Law? The goal for all of us is to obtain the divine law.”
The divine law is the concept to train to reach the highest peak in their respective field. Every student warrior/mage/crafter’s goal is to obtain the divine law, a title that is awarded to those who reaches grandmaster level in their class
“All right! It’s decided that we’ll be called Divine Law.”
For the rest of that day, everyone interacted with each other and stayed the night.

The next day was another day of class. After everyone finished class, everyone met to register their team. Leaving the school, the children left to go to go to the adventurers and crafters guild. Both were right next to each other. Going inside both, they registered their team.
Upon leaving the guild, the group of ten year old children noticed the town crier outside announcing some news.
“Everyone, in three days the Grand Tournament will start. Experts at the lowest rank of 6th Rank in either warrior or mage training will participate. Those who win 1st place will be granted the rare skillbooks [Identify], [Handicraft], [Mana Manipulation], [Ki Manipulation], and will undergo the Holy Baptism blessed by the Nacil Church. All experts should join in the Grand Arena and tickets will be sold for 500 credits. Hurry now and purchase your tickets.”
After that, everyone jumped to get the tickets to see the rare experts that many have only heard of before. Many experts started to sign up as well.
“Wow, we should get tickets too. Hey guys lets all go get tickets,” an excited Ruka yelled. Seeing everyone nod, she was about to join the crowd when Soula stopped her.
“Don’t get a ticket for me, I’m not going.” This shocked the others. Such a rare event was worth killing for, with a once in a lifetime offer who would refuse.
“What! Why not?” asked the others. Honestly, Soula was one of the richest among them, so he could easily take time off work and buy a couple of tickets.
“I have something to do, I may be gone for a week starting tomorrow. Besides, this level of experts isn’t worth taking time to watch for me.” Saying that, everyone was shocked. This level of experts isn’t worth taking time for. If that isn’t worth it to Soula, then what is.
“W-well, I guess you can’t help it if you’re busy.” The only explanation for them was that he really wanted to go, but because he couldn’t he pretended otherwise. What they didn’t know was that Soula saw and participated in countless battles among deities that his words were the truth. Besides, Soula really did have other plans…
Leaving the others, Soula started thinking. “I’m at the 6th rank for warriors. Although I barely meet the requirement, I have many techniques that can help put me up against anyone under the saint level. I should participate, but I can’t let anyone find out.”
Going home, Soula started to plan on what to do.
