It's been two days since finishing the quest and in that time Rex constructed two buildings that he bought from the market a breeding ground and an incubation hatchery, they were very cheap costing him only 50 coins.
Rex, who was staring at the system's penal, smiled as he looked at his remaining DNA Coins and what was in the market.
The system assistant told him that items in the market refresh daily giving him different items every day so he had a smile expecting something good in there.

Seeing the rewards his smile grew bigger because these items here meant more survival for him while doing quests.
He quickly bought 3 return banners making his remaining coins 635.
As for the island pasture he received for completing the first quest its approximate size is 600 square miles, so to travel in between he teleports but teleporting outside and returning to the island requires a return banner that costs.
He also received a small quest in the past days asking him to collect some eggs though this turned out to be a hard one as angry dinosaur moms chased him around.
But it turned out in his favor as he could do this quest repeatedly gaining him more DNA Coins.
At first, though he thought he could build more construction by doing the quests but finding the dinosaur eggs was too difficult as it took him almost all day to find a place where many dinosaurs lived, and when he stumbled upon a nest of the migrating horde he met the other night he also met the seven velociraptors that tried to eat him.
He fought a hard battle mainly running from them and hiding but it worked at the end of the day as they became a target for the other dinosaurs thinking that it was them who stole the eggs and wanted to eat them when in fact he did it through the use of the amulet of invisibility.
Rex who was still looking at his system's penal motioned his hand to look at the quest he was doing currently.
It was a quest to hatch eggs.
But he didn’t give it a thought since he was already in the middle of hatching the eggs so he indicated the panel to disappear.
After that, he got up walking to the incubation hatchery.
The incubation hatchery is a big round building made of net glasses having three futuristic nests inside and at the entrance of the hatchery was a sign that said EGGS.
From the outside, it looks visible but when inside everything looks different for example if he looked through the net glass when inside he would see nothing like one of those one-way mirrors in police stations where they can see you but you can't.

Coming inside he was yet again astonished by how big everything was.
The three nests were bigger than himself and the eggs being incubated were also big but that was due to the system.
When he got the eggs and put them in the incubation hatchery they grew every two hours glowing green.
The system assistant said that the system mutates the dinosaurs inside so they can fit the requirements of the system’s standards.
Even he was surprised by that but the bigger and stronger they are the better for him since he will make them his army.
Inspecting the eggs he nodded in satisfaction only one hour was left before their hatching.
"A-T how will I feed them after they are hatched?" Suddenly this question came to his mind thinking about their hatching which made him ask his assistant about it.
[Upon the first patch of pets hatching the system will reward the host for their food but after that host must gather for them.]
"Ohhh, I get it I'll be getting their food after seeing what they eat that's a good one thanks."
His understanding of the situation seemed a little wrong, and to correct him on that the system assistant prompted another notification not wanting for him to have the wrong impression.

He nodded but for some reason, he felt like the system assistant seemed different than usual.
But then he shrugged thinking that it was properly him imagining things again.
That thought of what to feed them when they hatch also made his stomach growl like a wild beast.
And with no time wasted, he rushed to a tree that was hanging a large fish that had four legs.
This was a mutant fish he caught from the lake while he was hunting for the eggs.
He caught it as a food reserve for when he felt hungry and there was nothing else to eat so he had no other choice thinking that fish is food so long as it breaths in water and resembles a fish.
Cutting some part of the fish with a bone knife he put the dry fish meat in his mouth.

It was tasteless and stiff due to it being outside of water and in the sun but he took his time eating the fish as it didn’t bother him it also smelled bad.
Like they say beggars can’t be choosers when it comes to food.
When in the wild and find something to eat no matter what it is so long as it saves your life you’ll eat it.
This place he was stranded in is dangerous and his survival to this point is due to his newfound power, the system.
And not aware of how far he is from home or how big the place is one thing for sure is that he’s lost his only way to contact home.

Sure upon his arrival he was met with a creature the size of a calf breaking out of one of the eggs.
This dinosaur had three little round horns two on the forehead and one above the noise.
It was a round triceratops hatchling.
Making its way out of the egg it munched on the falling egg pieces as it cried for the help of its mommy.
“Hey A-T should I help out with the hatching.” Seeing its struggle Rex wanted to help but the system prompted him to stop.

“You saying this makes them tough?”

Continuing to watch the hatching several emotions appeared on his face.
Crys of the hatchling echoed and it was joined in by two other cries.
The other two hatchlings were also of similar size as the triceratops but a little bigger.
It was a camptosaurus and coelophysis.
The coelophysis was a nimble one being long and slender and the camptosaurus was in between having a smaller head than the other two.
After fully hatching out of the eggs they ate every bit of the eggs wanting more.
They even started to butt heads for the little remains.
“Hahahahha, they look so funny.”
