Rave, Rave, Revolution! Final Beat!

Rave, Rave, Revolution! Final Beat!

--- Maya ---

“Who is that?” She asked, not recognizing the woman stepping out of the shadows as a hero or villain of the city and already thinking Decker loved to show off how smart he was.

“Zylah, the Shadow Dancer.” Decker told her easily enough. “She’s a rogue that’s been bopping around the last few months, she’s rather infamous for watching Mask fights without actually getting involved.”

“Huh… and now that we’re not fighting?” She wondered.

“No telling.” Decker admitted with a shrug. “Honestly, I’m hoping she wants an encore of her own.”

“Right…” She sighed, before turning towards Decker. “Like I said, I’m done for the night so, you’re on your own.”

“Eh, I can handle myself.” Decker assured her.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

“Mm-hmm… Oh, and before I forget.” She patted Decker’s shoulder to get his attention.

“Something up gamer gir-agh!”

And then kneed him as hard as she could, forcing him to bend over holding his crotch.

Taking a look over her shoulder she noticed Zylah watching from a distance with a curious tilt of her head.

“Hey…” She waved awkwardly at the mask, taking note of the woman’s black dress that seemed to be made of shadows dancing across her skin. “Uh, Bye!”

She turned and ran as fast as she could, hoping to leave the other two masks behind. She was not in the mood to deal with anymore stress or drama tonight.

By the time she made it home she was already feeling the various aches and pains she’d picked up through the night.

(Everything hurts…)

While she was bit later than usually was, she was able to bluff her way through any questions by lying about missing the bus and having her phone die on her without a way to charge it.

Her parents weren’t exactly happy about either of these things, but they were willing to accept it with a minimal amount of fussing. Something she was extremely grateful for since it made it much easier to just crash in her bed.

(Yeah, I think I’m just going to take tomorrow easy… No training or fighting… Maybe I can set up the foundations for my base…)
