Haunted Hospital Halls (Pt.1)

Haunted Hospital Halls (Pt. 1)

--- Maya ---

“I really can’t believe I let you two talk me into this…” She groaned, walking -(not sneaking)- through the mental ward.

(Yes, let the power of the waifu compel you…)

“This isn’t about your stupid waifu garbage!” She growled. “This is about the fact that this ghost is probably a victim of that massacre and is now stuck here. If we want to be a hero we should at least try to help her out… No matter how bad of an idea it is…”

(A good attitude to have.) Her inner reason agreed.

(Except for that part about waifu’s being garbage.)

(Oh. Yes. That opinion is simply illogical.)

“You’re both insane.” She sighed.

(Given how you’re talking to the voices in your head, you have no room to judge, chica.)

“Why am I the only M.A.D. that has to deal with this shit…” She groaned in mental agony. “I know for a fact no one at the club deals with voices in their head.”

(Statistically speaking, you likely aren’t the only M.A.D. with voices in their head.) Her inner logic felt the need to point out.

(Yeah, who knows, maybe everyone else at the club just hides their crazy from each other like you do.) Her inner madness agreed.

(That is… significantly less likely.)

(You never know.)

Shaking her head, she gave the area around them a once over. “Alright… I think this is the area we saw the ghost last time.”

(Are you sure? That was a fair while ago.)

“No idea, but I’m not really comfortable going any deeper into the haunted mental ward.” She admitted with no shame.

(The power of the waifu demands you continue on!)

“Yeah, no.” She refused, before sighing. “So, given how she attacked us last time, how exactly are we supposed to get the ghost girl’s attention?”

(I suppose the easiest way would be to try calling for her.)

“So what just say, ‘ghost I want to talk to you!’?” She paused, genre savviness saying the ghost would appear any second now.

If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

(Or the moment we drop our guard about her showing up.)

“Or then…” She conceded with a sigh, before running a hand through her hair. “So what exactly am I supposed to say once she shows up, anyway?”

(Will you be my waifu?)

Cringing, she took a deep breath before letting it out. “Actual suggestions please.”

(But that was an actual suggestion…)

(Perhaps we should inquire as to why she’s remained at this hospital for so long?)

“Maybe, though if that ties into her death it probably won’t go all that well for us.” She pointed out. “I mean that just seems like a landmine topic.”

(True… But at the same time broaching that topic might be the only way we can help her.) Her inner reason argued.

“Ugh, this is going to end in disaster…” She groaned once more.

“Heh-heh, why are you talking to yourself?”

“Because I need to figure out what we’re going to do about-” She froze, noticing two ghastly green eyes just inches from her own. “you…”

“mE?” The ghost girl asked in a staticy tone as her eyes began to glow.

“Yes.” She squeaked, regretting her lifechoices.

(Huh… maybe simping for the cannibalic ghost zombie wasn’t a good idea…)

(...)

(Do I really need to explain this?!)

The pale woman grabbed her by the throat and began to choke her.

(Yeah, you’re right. No regrets.)

(I fucking hate you.)

“sO tElL mE WhaT aRe yoU gOiNg To dO aBoUt mE?” The Deadwoman smiled.

“Thish.” She ground out, shoving her hand cannon into the zombie’s face before firing off a burst of electricity.

The Deadwoman screamed before flying away from her and crashing into one of the walls further down the corridor.

“Fu-uck.” She coughed, rubbing at her throat. “I can… still feel her hand…”

She shook her head and forced herself onto her feet before her inner madness could throw out any other stupid thoughts. Deciding that it was far more important to prioritize the revelation of, (electricity hurts the ghost… Good to know.)

“Now… where did that bitch run off to?” She growled, loading another electrical charge into her hand cannons as she started in the same direction the Deadwoman had flown off in.

It didn’t even take her five steps to locate the ghost, though that was less because of any tracking ability on her part, and more because the girl hadn’t gone all that far. As indicated by the faint whimpering of the ghost girl now curled up into a ball while rocking back and forth and whimpering, “I’ll be a good girl, I’ll be a good girl, I’ll be a good girl.”

“What the fuck?” She whispered, trying to connect the broken girl in front of her with the violent Deadman from a few moments ago.

Shifting to walk around the ghost girl, her foot ended up kicking something that had fallen off of a toppled medical cart, causing the ghost to flinch violently.

Frowning, she glanced at the device on the ground before picking it up and grimacing as the ghost cowered even further away. Deciding to take a chance she prodded the whispers in her head a bit before getting them to explain that the device was just a part of a machine that was likely intended to conduct small and borderline painless electrical shocks.

Blinking, she glanced at the (dead) girl in front of her, before her eyes drifted to the (mental ward) around her, then the (electrical) device in her hand, and finally back to the (cowering) girl that she’d just (electrocuted.)

“Oh…” The device fell from her hand. “Oh shit…”
