Sahar Spell Catalogue - Version 1.2

Sahar Spell Catalogue - Version 1.2

Sahar(Magic), commonly known as ‘saharic particles’ or ‘particles’ in Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl, are invisible particles that coexist with matter in the universe. Said particles supposedly created the planet of Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl and the universe. The term ‘sahar’ is first mentioned in the Scrolls of Ragye, the earliest scripture of the Yyvubia. People in Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl have naturally adapted to use sahar and control sahar since the beginning of human existence on the planet.

These particles contain object-creating properties, allowing them to willingly form into matter when reacting to certain sound frequencies. However, it can take a toll on the human body. Currently, there are two specific metrics of sahar:

Sahar Level: The number of particles one can hold without their body being damaged in the process. A person that exceeds their sahar level would experience vomiting blood, nausea, and damaged vital organs, typically known as a saharic overdose. The worst consequence of a saharic overdose is internal bleeding and organ explosion, resulting in the death of the chanter.

Saharic Mastery: The mastery and learning aptitude of the person when using sahar spells. A person with a high saharic mastery tends to know and use more spells as compared to someone with a low saharic mastery. Spell modifications are easily made with higher saharic mastery.

In Yahmajô̗ Alą̧̄utl, language plays a key importance in chanting sahar spells, or the magic of this world.

In terms of potency from strongest to weakest, they are:

1. Máak

2. Renyu* (Protolanguage)

3. Renhua

4. Nippong* (Protolanguage)

5. Azu

6. Kataga* (Protolanguage)

7. Galag

8. Khoit

*Protolanguages, are the initial languages which the modern ones are derived from. Although experimental, they prove to be more potent than their modern counterparts.

Renyu -> Renhua

Nippong -> Azu

Kataga -> Galag

SPELL ENTRIES

Entries consist of the spell name, the language of origin in abbreviation, the description of the spell, and any known variants. Thousands of variants could exist of any spell, but only variants used in Desert Company will be listed.

Each spell consumes a certain amount of saharic particles, but for simplification, there will be no metric (yet).

To chant a sahar spell, they must go in the following order:

[Syntax] [Spell Name]

For a sahar spell using spell modifications*, they must go in the following order:

[Syntax] [Spell Name] - [Modification]

*Spell Modifications are only attainable once a user has reached a certain mastery of a specific spell. They can deviate from its original intended purpose and rework it into a spell that only works for them.

Some examples of spell modifications in the story. Due to spoiler warnings, their descriptions will not be revealed. Viewing these are at the reader's own risk.
