Usually I would have an already scheduled chapter today, but I am here to designate this chapter as a progress check for anyone that wants to know how Legacy of Toya's completion will be like. This is also to show that I have not dropped this story by any means.
On a normal schedule I would have rows and rows of scheduled drafts ready to go for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but time has finally caught up with me. I can no longer sustain that daily chapter release due to writing volume three of Desert Company. I am definitely not a pantser but a plotter/planner, and I often loose motivation to write whenever I am forced to write and post a chapter by a deadline. This is why I'm refraining from releasing the chapters I have already written for Desert Company: Legacy of Toya and will finish the volume beginning to end before actually posting it on Royal Road.
I apologize that my writing speed is awfully slow. I take around 5-7 days writing a single chapter, and it took me a year to write Desert Company: Retrospective. So here, I will give out updates on Legacy of Toya. There are a total of three acts within the third volume.
Act VI: Tianxia (FINISHED WRITING) - 10 chapters
Act VII: Thiênhạ (CURRENTLY WRITING) - Estimated 20-50+ chapters

Act VIII: Our Company - Estimated 20+ chapters
Projected word count is 80k-100k words.
As of June 21st, 2023 I am writing Act VII: Thiênhạ. It's a very massive act with three story arcs contained inside of it, compared to the rest of the acts which only contained one arc each. During this period no chapters will be released. It pains me to not release content, and I know it will hurt this story's stats on Royal Road.
7/2 Update: I will be taking a short break from writing DeCo. Maybe just a couple of days. I apologize for the inconvenience. Total word count is 29k words in.
7/11 Update: Resuming writing and beginning to plan some more! Recently crossed 30k words. Also been devoting some time to another new series.
7/20 Update: BIG NEWS, DeCoDesert Company will RESUME POSTING and will begin releasing Act IV: Tianxia on a modified schedule. The Palace Arc of this act will start tomorrow once every Friday. Thank you for your patience. This is after some issues I've encountered, and I opted to release this part of the volume early.
