Insanity IV

Rosan opened his arms and caught the flying missile with ease, smiling down as Mod clutched him desperately.

She glanced up at him with teary eyes and the redhead laughed at how innocent his mother looked in that moment.

"This is why you can't date, Mod-chan. You're way too adorable," he teased as he wiped her tears.

"I agree, you're far too cute for your own good," Robin joined, accepting the offer to join the hug and holding the shorter woman.

She blushed scarlet and hid her face in their frames. "I'm just happy you big bullies! T-The castle lost another chain a-and the weather of the mindscape has changed and you have so much emotion showing!"

Rosan snorted and ran a hand through her lustrous hair as she tried her hardest to disappear into him.

"Speaking of which, how do you feel?" Robin asked curiously.

How much of his emotions could he currently feel? Robin had a decent idea with her observation but she'd like to hear him put it into words to get a better grasp.

Rosan hummed as he began walking to where the castle was, carrying an embarrassed Mod as he did so.

She was right, the weather did change and it was perhaps the strangest phenomena yet.

While everything was still frozen slightly, the ice wasn't as thick and it was raining of all things.

How strange. A raining frozen forest...

"If I had to put it into words… I'm much better than when I first broke out of Daybreak... Around the same level as when Meiko and I first started dating. I feel a majority of emotions right now and I think more are unleashed then restrained... which makes me wonder what exactly the chain is holding back," he muttered.

Robin smiled at that.

That was an enormous amount of progress made quickly and it would only get better.

"With you as my emotional support now, I expect to make even more progress," Rosan smiled before it turned into a frown. "If you ever feel like I'm taking advantage of you, just let me know alright? I don't want you to sideline your baggage just for my sake."

Robin gazed at Rosan before rolling her eyes and pinching his cheek.

"Rosan, I am quite literally unable to hide anything from you. You are just as much my emotional support as I am yours. Any baggage I have, is dealt with by you and that's how it's always been," she sighed in exasperation.

Rosan blinked at that before a wry smile made its way onto his face. "It really has been like that eh? My Robin-nee trying her hardest to assure little me that things are fine and being called out immediately."

She blushed in embarrassment at that. "The days when I thought it was possible to hide things from you… why are you so good at detecting lies?"

"Maybe it's a perk of these strange eyes of mine," he smirked, eyes glowing in time with his statement.

"I would love to find any type of information about them," Robin admitted, gazing into those heterochromatic eyes that were so important to Rosan's essence.

"I imagine Raisa would have information on them. It might be a royal secret so information is kept scarce," Rosan hummed.

Mod let out an instinctual growl at the mention of Raisa.

"Please do not mention that woman. It makes me feel uncomfortable," she requested, watching as the castle showed up.

Rosan gazed at the castle with an appraising eye. True to Mod's words, there really was a chain missing now which meant there was only one left…

This one was the thickest and was wrapped the tightest around the castle. Rosan wondered what exactly it signified. If the second chain housed most of his emotions... what exactly was more important to him that the third chain refused to vanish?

Hm...

"Sorry Mod-chan but you might have to be uncomfortable for just a bit longer…"

Mod went stiff at that.

"Because I have some questions for you," Rosan finished, cocky smirk gone in favor of a serious look. It was nothing like the dead eyed expression but honestly, seeing the firmness in his eyes and the slight frown, was all the more scary.

"Y-Yes, Rosan?" Mod asked, tone unsure as she gazed at the redhead.

The redhead gazed down at her. "Who is Pestilence?"

Mod went white.

"I-I… t-that," she stammered.

How did he know their name...? That was…

Rosan said nothing. The redhead patiently waited for her to speak while he ran a hand through a sympathetic, but silent, Robin's hair.

With Ram sleeping too… it was clear to Mod that she was on her own. Even if Ram was awake, she doubted the ring would defend her here. She was becoming equally as skeptical as Rosan was because the redhead's safety was her #1 priority.

C-Could she really face Rosan alone—

Mod froze.

Since when… since when was she so afraid of Rosan? Since when was she so afraid of her son?

The child that she had raised from a tiny toddler to this handsome man... the same man who used to clutch her tightly as he slept against her frame. The same boy who always looked to her for guidance, even when he had a good idea.

The boy who trusted her with all his heart and just wanted answers.

Here Rosan was, asking her a genuine question about a potential threat and she was afraid to answer because she was afraid of disappointing him.

When did Mod become so pathetic?!

The woman's fear vanished, replaced by determination and she gazed up at Rosan with a fierce expression.

"Before I tell you about Pestilence, there's something I want to say to you," she said, standing up straight.

Rosan tilted his head. "Hm?" he hummed curiously.

She steeled herself. "I'm sorry for letting you down, Rosan… As your protector, it was up to me to keep you safe and I failed almost as soon as I started. But please understand, that I truly do love you more then anything and in my eyes, you are my son! I have no intentions of letting Pestilence hurt you and I know above all else what she did is unforgivable in yours eyes…"

Her steely gaze wavered. "But please… please trust me a-and please stop excluding me from things because that really does hurt more than you could imagine… I know I've been nothing but a coward when it comes to you but I promise I'll be more brave so please… please consider me your mother again," she whispered softly.

The woman's fierce gaze melted as she spoke until she glanced at the floor with a brave expression that was quickly wavering as the silence stretched on.

Was it too late...? Had Rosan finally lost all his respect for her? Mod felt tears of defeat forming in her eyes as the realization that Rosan didn't love her anymore hit her.

She messed up so badly. S-She just wanted him to trust her again but she didn't deserve that—

A pair of strong arms wrapped around her and held her close.

"Was that so hard?" Rosan asked tenderly, voice quiet.

Her expression broke and she began sobbing in his chest as his comfort enveloped her.

"I-It was so hard!" She wailed, clutching him tightly as relief flooded through her system. "I just wanted things to go back to the way they were but I was so scared because I knew deep down, you were disappointed in me and you had every right to be. But in my fear, I was failing you even more! We're partners but I took a step back and let you take charge of everything because I didn't want to even entertain going against you," she admitted as she soaked his outfit.

Rosan snorted. "Listen to me Mod-chan. No matter what you will always be my mother and I have never treated you as anything else but that. We have had our ups and downs but nothing will change that fact… I wanted you to come to these realizations on your own because to be honest, if you didn't I wasn't going to let you talk to the virus."

She shuddered at that. "You weren't…?" Mod asked quietly.

"Nope. I was going to destroy it as soon as I laid eyes on it and to be honest, I knew I could get away with it because of your irrational fear… it's cruel of me to say but Mod-chan, it's a good thing you spoke up because I might have lost all respect for you after some time," he admitted.

The Devil Fruit's heart constricted at that because she would have deserved an outcome like that if it came down to it…

"D-Do you still respect me?" She asked quietly.

"Of course, I just want to know about Pestilence because I met them," Rosan said truthfully.

That silly little virus really thought he didn't know who they were? The only reason he didn't do anything was because Mod-chan could deal with it first and he had more pressing matters such as winning that damn fight.

Mod whimpered a bit and nodded in his chest so Rosan allowed her to cry.

"I was actually about to sit the both of you down so that you could talk your issues out so I'm glad you figured it out on your own," Robin informed them. The woman was smiling at the duo and shaking her head in fond exasperation.

"Honestly, you're both so emotionally stupid and that's coming from me…" Robin sighed.

"No, you're just as bad," Rosan retorted, reaching over and dragging her into the hug.

"Shut up," she muttered before sobering up. "You say you met the virus?"

Rosan nodded with a frown. "Yes, I'm very sure Pestilence is the Virus… after all, Mom has been dead for 20 years."

They froze at that.

"Rouge…?" Mod asked quietly, removing her face from Rosan's soaked shirt.

Robin frowned deeply at that.

"Yeah, I saw a glimpse, but she has the exact same voice and face as Rouge but her eyes are red and that's all I could tell," Rosan grunted.

His Devil Fruit frowned just as deep as Robin currently.

"Pestilence is a woman?" She asked in confusion. "That's… I didn't know things such as gender mattered to them… they mentioned once that if they had to pick a gender, it'd be male because of their natural advantages…"

"So they probably picked Mom to piss me off," Rosan grunted.

"What else should I know? I'll still let you deal with them but… they certainly didn't speak to me like someone who would so mercilessly torture me mentally."

Mod pursed her lips. "It might be one of their tricks… I must confess, I typically let the virus do whatever it was they wanted so they were given quite a bit of freedom… even then, considering you're stronger then me, Pestilence shouldn't be able to pose a threat to you…"

"Which is why it went after my emotions," Rosan rationalized.

It made sense. It didn't matter if it was a corrupt force, Pestilence probably didn't even make up half of Modification's power because they were not originally the Devil Fruit.

In a fight, they wouldn't stand a chance against the Devil Fruit itself, much less Rosan who had evolved with this fruit for the past 20 years.

Of the three, he was the strongest. Mod-chan would still give him a difficult battle, but she would inevitably lose… the had tested that out when he turned 20.

So they were hiding. What was their game plan then? It was only a matter of time before Rosan broke into that castle and forced a confrontation.

Is that why they were suddenly acting so courteous…

"How is the Virus able to communicate with me through both the castle and Seastone, when you are completely incapacitated from me having Seastone?" Rosan asked.

Mod pursed her lips. "The Virus is not... Modification. They simply assimilated some of my powers or all of it when I allowed it. I don't know what they are but Pestilence is not Modification... They are a virus that gained their own set of abilities from my powers... perhaps they have a certain resistance to Seastone as a result," she explained.

"Hm," Rosan hummed. "Why do they hate me?"

"It is their nature... Pestilence hates everyone but me and... they probably despise you even more because you earned my loyalty. They are possessive," Mod informed him quietly.

What was the purpose of this Virus? Why did Vegapunk add it? Rosan refused to believe that the genius had an oversight.

This was intentional.

Hm...

There was no point dwelling on it. They would meet soon, Rosan just needed to figure out what that final chain wanted.

"Rosan… thank you," Mod said suddenly. "Thank you for giving me another chance even despite my monumental failure… I'll try my best to make sure it doesn't happen again!"

Rosan glanced at her and rolled his eyes, flicking her on the forehead and getting a surprised yelp out of her.

"You think I was upset because you made a mistake? What type of hypocrite would that make me?" Rosan asked seriously.

Mod's eyes widened at that.

"I was upset with you because you didn't trust me enough to reveal the information," the redhead said truthfully.

"Time and time again I just wanted you to see me as a partner, but you refused to stop babying me and that was the last straw," he admitted.

Her eyes narrowed in guilt at that.

"I decided, since you didn't trust me enough to see me as a partner, I wouldn't trust you enough to be mine," he said softly. "You would be my mother like you wanted and I'd be your son but we wouldn't be partners anymore. After that moment, being both was impossible."

Even Robin looked surprised by that statement. She gazed at the redhead with slightly wide eyes and realized Rosan treated these things very seriously.

"So this entire time… you were… acting like my son?" Mod couldn't help but ask.

"Yup," Rosan popped the p as he smirked.

She opened her mouth and then closed it.

"I… I think I like prioritizing partners more," Mod said in defeat.

Robin and Rosan both burst into laughter at that.

"Kahahaha! What happened? Can't handle a kid who doesn't wanna tell his parents everything? It's natural you know?" Rosan cackled.

"Fufufufu! You should be glad that Rosan's natural teenage phase didn't happen. You'd have found him completely insufferable!" Robin joined.

Mod buried her face in their bodies in embarrassment and let out a moan of sadness.

"I hate you two," she mumbled into their shirts.

To think this whole time… her son was acting like well… her son! Now that she thought about it, it made so much sense that Rosan was acting like they were truly mother and son.

It explained why he had gotten so distant… it was natural for a child. As children got older, they told their parents less and less. It fit the bill of what Rosan was doing to a t.

She still hated it though. She didn't like it one bit. Rosan should be telling her everything.

"What's with that possessive grip?" Rosan asked in amusement, feeling the way Mod's hold on them increased.

"The both of you are mine," she growled fiercely. "No more secrets between us okay? The three of us are going to be open books from now on!" Mod demanded.

"Sure," Rosan complied easily.

"When did I get dragged into this?" Robin sweatdropped.

"You never stood a chance," Mod replied with a victorious smile, gripping the two of them tightly.

Robin sighed and accepted it with a fond smile.

No matter what she said, Mod could really be just as bad as Rosan.

----------------------------------------

"I want to say I'm surprised you're awake already… but I'm really not."

Rosan let out a small snort and sat up with Robin so they could regard the exasperated Demon.

His younger brother had been reviewing some notes before noticing the duo waking and turned to face them.

"Robin I get. She's not even injured, but Master, with your injuries you should be sleeping for at least another day," the doctor admonished, running a hand through his high ponytail.

He absentmindedly slapped his older brother's hand due to Rosan picking at his bandages.

"Stop that," he muttered, shooting Robin a smile.

Rosan stopped tugging at his bandages and said, "I did everything I wanted while asleep so it's time for me to wake up."

"People don't normally do things in their sleep," Demon retorted with a deadpan gaze.

"I'm not most people, that's why I get to move early," the redhead replied, moving slightly and immediately pausing as the dangerous aura of his younger brother washed over him.

"Master." Demon's smile was gentle as he glared at him with those brilliant red eyes. "I've quite literally never seen your body in worse condition then when Chopper and I worked on it."

"Where is Chopper by the way?" Rosan spoke up.

"He wanted to join the party so I let him go. Don't change the subject."

Rosan closed his mouth at that and Demon continued.

"Seriously, you're normally in top condition but your entire body was practically fried. You're nerve cells were heavily damaged, heavy burns on your skin and you nearly went into cardiac arrest. The Philosopher's Stone worked overtime to repair your organs."

The glare was gone in favor of worry, Demon's innate kindness making him unable to stay angry for long.

"It was bad… Really bad, Master. For the first time since I became your personal doctor, I worried for you," he admitted with a worried frown.

Rosan's eyes went soft and he ran a soothing hand through his brother's hair.

"But I'm fine because I know I had you and Chopper. I just want to move around a bit, Demon. If anything feels wrong, you're the first person I'll tell... okay second. Robin is first by default," he assured.

"I'll be watching him like a hawk… trust me, it's better to know that he's gone then figuring it out when it's too late. Saves you the heart problems," Robin smiled.

Demon stared at the two for a while before nodding. "They're all partying right now. There's a lot of people out there so don't get hurt. Make sure you don't remove your bandages either. I know you love to do that," he demanded.

Rosan smiled and rolled his eyes. "Don't stay cooped up in here, you little nerd. I know you want to surprise Maro with the completed Rumble Ball but make sure you enjoy yourself too."

Demon felt his throat lock up at how casually his emotional brother was speaking to him and nodded tightly.

It felt so good to see him smile and laugh and just have a different expression.

He didn't realize how much he missed it... but he had really missed his older brother. Rosan was the sun for a lot of them and to see his flames be reignited...

"Master, you look beautiful when you're human," he couldn't help but say.

There was a brief pause as they digested his words and Demon's expression, turned into one of mortification at what had inadvertently slipped out.

Both Robin and Rosan looked stunned by that statement, regarding the doctor with wide eyes.

Then, the redhead flashed a small, smug smile.

Demon felt his danger senses going haywire at that smile.

"My oh my, Demon. Don't you think that crushing on your hot older brother is rather insane? I know you like both genders but please have some decency... I guess I can't blame you though, I'm probably the hottest man you've seen yet," he shrugged helplessly, eyes shining in amusement as he looked at his embarrassed brother.

Demon's mortified expression deepened. "T-That's not what I meant! Please don't use my sexual preference to say these things!"

"Kahahaha! Is that why you've always been so afraid to be in my presence? You been leering at me this whole time?" Rosan crooned, wrapping an arm around his horrified brothers shoulder and bringing him close.

"Rosan please stop torturing my poor little Demon!" Mod jumped to the rescue, hiding a smile behind a firm scowl.

"Yes, Rosan... he's just glad that you're doing well," Robin interjected, smiling in amusement at the look of embarrassment on Demon's face.

"Please get out, I'll join the party in a minute," the doctor sighed, trying to will his red face from going away.

Rosan laughed shortly and stood up. "I know how you get during parties so if you want me to bring over Mikita or Zala… or both. I don't think they'd mind honestly... Why haven't you tried that yet?" The redhead asked.

"Rosan don't encourage his bad habits!" Robin reprimanded.

"What?! They're both into him and Demon's a whore! I would have thought he'd be going at both of them by now!" Rosan said incredulously.

"Out!" Demon nearly shouted.

The two let out short laughs and quickly vacated the area, leaving the embarrassed doctor to himself.

"Why is everyone so concerned about my love life?" the doctor sighed to himself.

How did Master even know that both Zala and Mikita harbored feelings for him? Was he some type of wizard?

The man sighed. Thinking about deepening a relationship was too much so he didn't dwell on things like that, which was why he scarcely dated.

The few times he did date someone, they didn't last very long. They pried too deeply into his life eventually and he wasn't comfortable sharing such information so he just gently let them down to avoid it becoming a problem in the future.

Though… maybe he should give some a chance.

Angel had been happily married for 5 years and in a relationship for even longer.

Granted, she was dating a behemoth like Maro so she didn't have to truly worry about the girl's safety often…

Rosan and Robin were practically dating already and their family was hellbent on making it official.

Maybe if Rosan actually opened his heart to her, Demon could find someone to settle down with.

It was a thought for another time, he guess he could go join that party.

----------------------------------------

The ongoing party went into a momentarily lull the moment everyone saw Robin and Rosan.

It was full to the brim with Shandians, Skypieans, the giant snake of all things and of course, his crew.

Before showing up, there had been quite the cacophony of noise and the bonfire they created, was actually massive.

The redhead idly scratched at his bandage and sent Robin a scalding glare when she slapped his hand away.

She simply smiled innocently at him.

"I'm just scratching my bandages. I already got warned not to tear it off."

"It could possibly be an instinct thing for you. I know how you are so I have to shut it down quickly."

Rosan scowled and made to attack her...

The two's gaze snapped back to the crowd, at the sound of loud cheering.

"HE'S AWAKE!" Everyone roared, swarming the redhead excitedly.

Rosan looked startled and instinctively wrapped an arm around Robin's waist to prevent anything from happening to her.

His worries were for naught. The people seemed genuinely happy to see him of all things…

"Huh?" Rosan thought in confusion as he took a step back from all the excited chatter.

"Rosan-sama! I heard you've taken interest in Skypiea's technology! Please, accept some of our assortment of wavers and breath ships to take back with you!"

"And take as many of our dials as you want! We have so much that leaving with a bunch, is of no issue!"

"We heard that your woman loves books! Please, take any that you find interesting! Skypiean history is rich and diverse!"

"Us Shandians have a few combat based dials you may help yourself to as well."

"Can we see your wings again?!"

The redhead gazed at the people in complete silence.

Why the hell did they like him? What was this? He wasn't... expecting this outcome.

"Probably because you beat their tyrant and invincible Kami," Robin supplied helpfully, laughing through their connection due to Rosan's surprised expression.

"Is our little Rosan not used to being well liked by the masses?" Mod teased.

"It's your right as my father to be loved by all!" Ram beamed.

The redhead remained silent and their expressions turned a little worried.

"Rosan?" They all called in concern.

The redhead took a deep and shaky breath, before saying,

"...How can I steal from them all when they just plan on giving me the stuff?"

Ram and Mod face planted, while Robin held her face in exasperation.

Was he serious right now? Rosan couldn't possibly be a real person.

"Thanks… I'll gladly accept every single gift," Rosan hummed despite his inner turmoil, wings growing out of his back to accommodate that one person's request.

Maybe he'd steal more then what they planned on giving him…? That seemed like a good idea... right?

"Let me help you find the help you need," Mod begged her unbelievable son.

This was ridiculous! He was stealing from people offering him gifts? What type of madness was this?!

"I'll see if I can fit it in my schedule when Robin and I have our therapy session."

Robin could not contain her laughter at that. Rosan was so funny!

The duo made their way over to the crew, all while accepting various snacks and drinks offered to them.

"Finally you're awake, Master!" Maro beamed, slapping the back of the injured Wyper with no remorse and getting a glare out of the Shandian. "I got a bunch of unique crops from these guys! I wanna trade them some of my own and maybe you can help them make them their own greenhouse to store more ground! It's really valuable up here!"

"Sure. After I get the greenlight from Demon, I can put a few greenhouses on that Angel Island of theirs… for even more rewards," Rosan nodded, getting cheers out of the people again.

"You're so greedy," Usopp sighed despondently.

Well, at least Usopp himself had managed to grab a ton of resources. With the amount of dials he received, he could ask Rosan for not only help with Nami's Clima, but his own weapon as well!

"You shouldn't be moving so soon!" Chopper admonished, leaping onto the redhead to deliver justice.

Rosan easily grabbed him out of midair and hugged the little reindeer while ruffling his fur.

"Thanks for grabbing that Jet Dial for me Chopper. You really helped me out," Rosan smiled at their doctor.

Chopper lit up and began dancing in his grasp. "D-Don't think I'll just accept any type of praise you bastard!" He beamed.

"You look so alive like this," Nami complimented the redhead, gazing at his not neutral expression with a bit of wonder.

To see how expressive the normally stone-faced redhead was... it filled her with delight, to see the human side of Rosan that everyone seemed to love so much.

Watching how easily he smiled, how his eyes lit up at some things... they were beginning to see why. It was night and day.

Rosan was about to reply, until a red missile attempted to tackle him to the floor.

He easily caught and held them, seeing his little sister gazing up at him with teary eyes.

"Everyone is so adorable," Rosan sighed fondly.

"It's really not going away?" She asked quietly.

The redhead hummed and stroked her long hair. "It doesn't feel like it, no. Right now, I feel pretty good. It's not all, but a lot of my emotions are currently free."

Angel's eyes glittered at that and she squeezed with all her might, getting a short laugh out of him that turned into a cough of pain as Luffy and Maro tackled him.

"Ow," he said blandly on the floor. The 3 most touchy (besides himself) of his family were squeezing him with quite a bit of force and considering he was still injured, it didn't feel great.

"Please be gentle, Rosan's still hurt," Robin admonished slightly, shooting a smile towards the cheerful Sabo chatting obliviously with a Skypiean fluttering her eyes at him.

"Oh, right!" They gasped, clambering off the prone redhead.

"I'm not used to Master having prolonged injuries," Maro muttered. Had he ever been bandaged up since she knew him?

No, because by then he had already eaten that stupid strong stone of his so even after getting speared through, he didn't need anything but a checkup from Demon.

"I should be healed by tomorrow once I replenish all my energy…" Rosan muttered, not moving from his spot and instead placing his head on Robin's lap.

"So did you guys get what you wanted?" the redhead asked, resisting the urge to purr as Robin raked a hand through his hair.

"I know you want to purr. Can you? Please," Robin asked with a small smile, knowing he wouldn't say no to her.

Rosan rolled his eyes and offered one to her through the connection.

The deep rumble coursed through her body and she couldn't resist the shiver as it practically shook her bones.

"Wow, so deep! I knew you would sound more like a tiger then a kitty now," Robin mused.

"Shut up."

Maro and Angel both nodded eagerly.

"I got plenty of their technology! I can't wait to see if I can reverse engineer it… Did you know some of them can't be used on the Blue Sea because they utilize clouds? I'll need to collaborate with Hiroshi to try and fix that. Using these clouds on ground level would be amazing," Angel mused, expression turning thoughtful.

Celadon and Fregate's technology and livelihood could reach new levels if they incorporated this stuff and she had been getting rather restless. This was perfect to pour her attention into!

It was so exciting!

"I got my Haki and new crops that I can cultivate! I should be able to make an entirely new greenhouse full of those crops in about a month… then I can start selling them along with our others and turn in a whole new page of profits," the Queen muttered.

Heh, at this rate people all over the world would want her stuff. She was already famous in the four seas but outside of it? Heh, yes she could see the money already!

"How good are your crops?" Sanji said, interest clear in his eyes. "I'd be willing to buy them exclusively from you. I've heard a lot about them when working at the Baratie but hearing it from you would be even better."

Maro's eyes glittered in pride.

"The best in the Blue Seas! You won't find them anywhere better because I'm the one growing them!" She grinned. "You can come visit and I'll show you a bunch! I even have my own personal garden just for me!"

Sanji nodded eagerly. Getting both of the Skypiean crops and Maro's? That sounded too good to be true.

"Oh speaking of which," Rosan spoke up, eyes opening from the short rest. "I've got something interesting for Nami and Maro."

The navigator and queen perked up at that, glancing over at the redhead with blatant interest.

Everyone watched as the redhead reached into his cardigan and pulled out a dial that his bird had stolen.

"First, for Nami… Give me Clima," Rosan instructed, slowly removing himself from Robin's person and letting out a disappointed sigh.

"What dial is that?" Nami asked in blatant interest, giddily handing over her weapon to the redhead.

"Zoro should be familiar with it," Rosan commented idly. "According to his opponent, it's called the Eisen Dial."

Zoro's eyes widened at that. "You mean the bald dudes weapon? The clouds that feel like iron?"

Nami's eyes turned into stars at hearing that.

"Yup," Rosan nodded with a glance of concentration. His eyes began glowing as he dismantled Clima into pieces with his ability, before grabbing the dial and placing it in the debris of the staff.

Then, with a thought, the pieces of Nami's weapon began melding back together until it looked as if it was never broken in the first place. There was no physical changes, but the weapon shuddered before stilling.

"So fascinating," everyone couldn't help but think.

"There. I have some more things I want to do but I'm more tired then I thought. Ask Clima later what you can do with that," Rosan grunted.

"Thanks big bro!" Nami beamed, hugging the redhead thankfully.

"Yeah yeah," he replied, patting her back. "I've got wind and lightning under my control now, so you will too. You too Usopp, I can make some new pellets for you if you want."

Nami shook in excitement at that statement and her eyes turned fiery at the jump in power she was soon to get.

Usopp jumped up in excitement. "You're the best Rosan!" He praised.

"I thought I was the only one who believed that," Rosan muttered tiredly.

"Where's my gift?!" Maro demanded. "I want it now!"

"I thought you were satisfied, you bratty goblin," the scout said in amusement, slowly standing up and glancing thankfully at the Robin steadying him as he stumbled a bit.

She placed his arm over her shoulders and kept him straight, allowing him to lean into her.

"You sure you good to keep moving?" Zoro asked with a raised brow.

"I'm fine," the redhead replied. "Come, if I summon your gift here, a lot of people are going to die. This ties in with something I want to show Robin too."

Everyone balked at that statement, wondering what type of psychotic gift he got the queen and only Maro (and Luffy) looked excited by the prospect of what it was.

"You have something to show me?" Robin asked curiously.

"Yeah, it involves that Golden Bell," he said.

Wyper and every other Shandian perked up at that.

"Excuse me…" the chief of the Shandians spoke up, regarding the one who defeated Enel with a weary expression. "What is your plan with the Golden Bell?"

If he wished to take it, there was nothing they could do to stop him. That man and his crew were massively stronger then them all. This was the person who had defeated Enel in one on one combat. If they desired to take it, it was theirs.

Rosan shrugged. "Nothing. I just want to show Robin something," he said shortly.

They couldn't help the swell of relief at hearing he had no intentions of doing anything with the bell.

"Why do you ask? Think I'm gonna steal it? I just might if that old man doesn't cough up my damn reward," he told them with a raised brow.

Gan Fall sweatdropped at the greedy redhead. "I actually do have a reward for you. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by it but that can wait for later."

The Shandians sighed in relief at that.

"STOP DISTRACTING HIM! I WANT MY GIFT!" Maro roared, transforming into her full zoan to get her point across.

Those unaware of what the friendly and very social queen could do, balked in terror at seeing her monstrous transformation and some screams reverberated through the festivities.

Without any hesitation, the hulking Dokkaebi lifted both Robin and Rosan with startling ease and began marching off (she made sure to keep them as close to each other as possible for Ram).

"Tell me where to go!" she barked.

"I'm not injured," Robin said with an exasperated sigh, ruffling in place as her best friend was practically smushed into her.

"I need to stop spoiling you so much," Rosan grunted, shooting Robin an apologetic look.

----------------------------------------

"I'm sowwy Master," Maro whined, brought to her knees by the crushing strength of Rosan grabbing her cheek.

"Do not carry me like a baby again and do not crush me against Robin like that. It was borderline inappropriate," Rosan said, unrelenting.

"I have to agree this time... there was almost no room for us to move!" Robin sighed.

"I-I won't now please let me go," she begged. Was he using armament?! Why was he such a dick?!

The redhead snorted. "Don't feel like it."

She began whining even further, prepared to bust out the waterworks if she needed to.

"You shouldn't be so hard on her Rosan… you let me carry you like a baby after all," Robin stepped in mercifully, removing his hand from Maro's cheek.

Rosan sneered at her. "You sure do love forgetting to add context don't you? I was four and sick. For a genius, you're really a fan of saying stupid things."

Robin's eyes narrowed. "That's quite ironic coming from you of all people. After all, for 4 years straight I was convinced you were a hopeless idiot. In fact, I find myself hard pressed calling you smart even now."

Everyone watched with a sweatdrop as the redhead stepped close to Robin, glowering over her and pressing his head against her own.

"Wasn't this hopeless idiot outsmarting you in every single fight we had?" He muttered challengingly, pleasant breath washing over her.

Robin scowled and didn't back off for a second, opting to close the distance even further somehow. "There you go again, always bringing up a fight when we argue. Is that the only thing you're confident about when dealing with me? In fact, I don't know why you're so confident. I remember the record being quite close, wasn't it?"

Rosan scowled back. "Is that what you remember? I thought you were supposed to be smart, Robin-nee," he hissed.

The Devil Child looked like she had enough of his nonsense. "Fine, perhaps I have to show you again exactly why you called me Robin-nee," she announced.

"Bite me!" He snarled.

"They're ridiculous," their allies thought with forlorn sighs.

"Just kiss!" Ram begged silently.

Right before the two could break into one of their many brawls. They both suddenly went still and stepped away from each other.

"This isn't over," Rosan promised.

"I'll see you tonight," she retorted.

"Why did you guys stop fighting?" Maro asked as she rubbed her cheek.

"Mom," they replied in unison.

Everyone who knew of Mod nodded in sympathy.

She could be quite scary.

"I-I just said stop arguing or else there will be consequences!" Mod flushed.

"You are effective," Ram said in fear.

Robin and Rosan both nodded.

Mod flushed deeper.

"C-Can I see my gift, please?" Maro asked hesitantly, hiding behind Angel so that her cheeks would remain safe.

"Oh, right," Rosan nodded, before digging in his cardigan once more. The redhead was faced away from them so they couldn't see what he pulled out and that left them more curious.

"I know I said I should stop spoiling you so much but I always thought as queen, only the best things should be reserved for you," he mused, eyes glowing with Modification.

"So, I got you a present. Happy birthday."

Maro rolled her eyes. "Master, my birthday is August 25th. That's the day you found me and since I don't know the day I was born we decided on — HOLY SHIT!"

Whatever the Dokkaebi was going to say, was completely cut off as the contents of her gift were revealed. Her eyes bugged, before splitting into the largest grin yet.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!" She squealed, tackling both Robin and Rosan to the floor and planting repeated kisses on every part of their faces in glee. "Mwah mwah mwah mwah! You're the best and I love you so much and you're so fucking awesome!"

Robin let out a surprised noise at the action while Rosan just snorted, accepting it with ease.

"Enjoy, I made it smaller and more fitting for you. It can sail or fly and it runs on electricity… that Enel was pretty smart with the design," Rosan mused.

The Thunder Dials in the ship were to make it hover in place for a while but with some quick engineering, Rosan had made it the primary source of travel for the Ark Maxim.

"Will you be the one refilling it when it runs out?" Angel asked curiously, gazing at the ship in awe.

"Nah, you will," Rosan replied easily.

The redheaded woman blinked. "Huh?" She asked in confusion and pointed to herself.

Demon perked a brow at that. "What do you mean?"

Their older brother rolled his eyes, even as Maro continued peppering him. "Fire and wind are not a natural part of Modification so you can't learn it. But lightning is. With your professions, I guess that's a good thing."

The doctor blinked before his eyes widened in surprise. "We can use that electricity?!" He asked in excitement.

"SERIOUSLY?!" Angel balked in unrestrained glee.

"Yeah, c'mere. I can't move," he said as he beckoned towards the ecstatic Maro.

His twin siblings eagerly approached and grabbed one hand each.

"Modification: Update," Rosan intoned, grasping his clones and pouring Modification into them.

The two seized up for a moment, eyes both glowing red as Rosan transferred the information to them.

He completely ignored how Maro had never let up in her affections. Robin had been left stunned by the actions and was unable to muster up another reaction.

Eventually he stopped his technique and both his siblings blinked at the influx of their innate technique.

Angel grinned widely, as purple sparks began dancing across her bronze hand. "HAHAHA! I LOVE YOU MASTER!" She cheered, jumping in joy.

With this, she could create an entire new set of inventions that were electricity powered! Yes! This was incredible!

Demon's eyes were glittering in joy at the new technique, summoning a single red spark between his thumb and index finger.

He had his very own defibrillator now! Using this lightning in conjunction with his skills as a doctor... oh the possibilities were endless!

"Thank you so much, Master," Demon actually grinned and banished the electricity.

"Anytime," he replied easily, smiling fondly at his siblings.

Besides changing the function of the ship, he changed its general appearance and made the ship smaller, while turning it the same shade of azure blue as Maro's hair, with a dash of white over it.

To finish it all off, the giant gold Buddha-esque statue had been modified and transformed into an image of Maro's face as a Dokkaebi.

"When did you do this?" Nami gawked in awe, gazing up at the ship with wide eyes.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Before I rang that bell," Rosan replied.

"How much energy do you have?! You looked dead on your feet!" Usopp exclaimed in disbelief.

"I have a tendency to get lost in my interests. It let's me ignore my own issues and bites me later," he replied.

THe most obvious was when he created Ram... he couldn't help it. Rosan wouldn't be able to sleep if he wanted to do something.

"Maro, just how long do you plan on kissing us for?"

Maro, who had not stopped her eager peppers, grinned up at them both with joy. "Until I get tired! You guys got me a flying ship! That's so cool! Oh! Oh! We should go visit Makino and then bring her over and then have her chew you out for being so rude! Then we can probably go to Alabasta too!"

A ship that could fly and sail?! It was too good to be true!

"I don't need all the wavers I'm going to be getting either so you can have some of em too."

Maro squealed and resumed her affections.

Robin rolled her eyes with slightly dusted cheeks and just accepted it.

"All these kisses on our faces are distracting you from exploring the ship," Rosan offered finally. "Look, the others are already inspecting it."

Maro shot up at that and glanced wildly at her allies. Without any hesitation, she got off them and rocketed off towards the ship.

"DON'T GO EXPLORING AHEAD OF YOUR QUEEN! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU ALL?!"

"You make it look easy," Robin complimented. The woman got up and dusted herself a bit as she gazed at her best friend and helped him up.

"Perks of raising her from zero. You know everything about them," he shrugged, marching off to find the golden bell. "C'mon, I moved the Golden Bell a lot closer in case those guys wanted to retrieve it."

The Shandians perked up at that and glanced gratefully at the redhead, following after him.

"What is it you wanted to show me?" Robin asked as she quickly caught up and held onto the injured man.

"I'm interested too," Sabo said, sidling next to the duo with curious eyes.

"You remember how you told me to find the Golden Bell right?" He muttered. "Well, your hunches were right, there's a Poneglyph there."

Her eyes widened in interest and Robin did not begin dragging Rosan there at an increased speed.

Rosan just accepted it with a roll of his eyes as Sabo laughed at him.

Maybe he was beginning to regret powering through every injury. His family was ruthless when they wanted to be.

----------------------------------------

"You can read this message?!" Gan Fall asked with wide eyes.

Robin nodded as she gazed up at the Poneglyph with anticipation on her features. Rosan and Sabo watched right next to her with curious eyes.

The Chief of the Shandians eyes bugged as he heard that and he gazed at the woman with a shocked gaze.

"The Ancient Weapon that bears the name of the Kami "Poseidon"… It's location is within the Mermaid Princess…"

Robin frowned at that. She did not care for the locations of the Ancient Weapons. This was another miss.

Rosan pulled her into a side hug and patted the disappointed woman with a roll of his eyes.

"Another Ancient Weapon?" Sabo asked with a raised brow. "Wait, did you two actually find out the location of Pluton?"

They both nodded in unison and it was then that Sabo saw just why Nico Robin was such a dangerous threat to the World Government.

Rosan hummed. "First Pluton, now Poseidon. We know two of the locations now… I wonder if we should attempt to siege them so that no one else can get them?"

Robin thought about it before shaking her head. "I've been in the Grand Line for a long time and right now, it's impossible to get either. Pluton especially, will just end up with all of us dying."

Poseidon was likely on Fishman Island but Pluton? Nothing they did currently would be able to allow them to acquire it.

Rosan hummed but nodded. "It was food for thought. I have no interest in them either… and if Poseidon really is a person, then I want it even less... but an ancient weapon being a person is volatile. We should be careful."

"I agree. If the time ever comes, we can observe the person for ourselves and make a decision there. If we have to, I wouldn't be opposed to you doing whatever it is that keeps us safe."

Sabo gazed at the two with a calculating eye.

It was rather grim of them but Sabo understood exactly where they were coming from. Sometimes, things just turned out this way and if the holder of Poseidon proved too volatile, he'd probably do the same thing.

Robin and Rosan were about to leave but the revolutionary stopped them before they could.

"Wait, there's another message, right there."

Her eyes followed where he was pointing and narrowed in confusion.

A message not written on the Poneglyph…? Who wrote this?

"I hereby guide this document to its end. Pirate… Gol D… Roger?!" Robin said in shock.

The woman stepped back in disbelief and shot a cautious glance over at the Rosan who just snarled violently, putting a hand on him.

How did Roger know these letters? He had been to Sky Island?

Come to think of it… There were two types of Poneglyphs. Stones with information and stones that show the location of others…

This stone was a stone with information… which meant "I hereby guide this document to its end…"

"You said Roger?" Gan Fall spoke up in surprise.

"You know him?" Robin asked, putting a hand on Rosan, whose gaze had turned smoldering.

The former Kami nodded. "It's been more then 20 years since he came here… he was a pirate of the Blue Sea. I take it that… Rosan knows him as well?" He asked warily.

Rosan sneered. "I know him alright."

"You hate him?" Sabo thought in surprise, before actually thinking about it.

Right… Roger did bring those Marines over to Baterilla. It was natural that Rosan would despise him.

"Of course I do. He's Ace and I's father and yet he single-handedly ruined our lives."

Sabo had to do everything in his power, to keep his expression schooled, as his jaw threatened to drop.

"YOU'RE HIS WHAT?!" He shouted loudly through their connection.

Rosan glanced over at him. "Right… I keep forgetting that you don't remember these things anymore."

Sabo held his head at his brother's antics. "You'd think you would mention this earlier… like when you were telling us all the story about Baterilla."

"Slipped my mind."

The revolutionary sighed. He was unbelievable.

So Ace was the actual son of Roger and Rosan was his adopted son.

Huh.

"Did I ever mention that Luffy was Dragon's son? Probably not."

Sabo's jaw did drop this time.

"LUFFY'S DRAGON'S SON?! WHAT THE HELL?! AREN'T YOU ALSO THE SON OF A QUEEN? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?!" The Chief of Staff asked in horror.

His boss, was his youngest brother's dad?! Why was he JUST now learning this?!

Robin smiled at them before turning towards the Chief of the Shandians. "Chief, this Poneglyph has already fulfilled its purpose. I'm very sure that by connecting each Poneglyph, a document will slowly be filled until it's completed and the Pirate King, already delivered the document of this Poneglyph to its destination."

The Chief's eyes widened at that and he took a step back. "So… So you mean? You mean we no longer have to fight anymore?"

Robin nodded and the man felt his tears drop, as he fell to his knees.

"OUR ANCESTORS WISH WAS FULFILLED!" The man sobbed to the rest of the emotional Shandians.

The Devil Child smiled at them.

"You say you wanted gold, yes?" Gan Fall asked. "Why not take this broken support column?"

It was one of the support columns holding the bell but it looked like it was seconds away from breaking off.

Rosan glanced at it. "Sure, I'll take it… that must be worth billions," he muttered.

It was too big to fit on the ship but this was what his crew earned, so Rosan wouldn't feel right placing it in his Pocket Dimension but he probably had no choice…

The man broke the column off and laid it gently on the ground with startling ease (everyone's eyes bugged at his strength).

Then, he took out Ram and transformed her into a saw like blade.

The redhead hummed and began to cut the pillar of gold into thick giant pepperoni slices, until he was satisfied.

He had the massive column down to about a quarter and stacked the pieces of gold he cut atop each other.

"This should be enough… then I'll store the rest in an area just for them…" Rosan mused, tapping the column he didn't cut into and having it vanish. The redhead hoisted up the giant coins of gold and secured them.

"Alright, we should be leaving soon so let me put this on the ship," the redhead muttered.

"Wait just a minute!" Gan Fall interrupted. "That wasn't my gift to you."

Rosan, Sabo and Robin blinked. "Oh?"

Gan Fall smiled.

----------------------------------------

"And you say you aren't lucky."

"I might have to reevaluate that."

Rosan's eyes glowed maniacally at what he was looking at.

"Some of my men found it lying in a pile of fruit while we cleared out Kami's Temple and I figured it would be a perfect gift for you," Gan Fall informed him, satisfied due to the gleam in Rosan's eyes. "I assume you know what it is?"

Gan Fall himself didn't know and if he did, perhaps he would have hesitated a bit more to give it over.

Oh well, it was Rosan's now.

"I'm quite interested in knowing too," Robin chimed in but she had her hunch.

Honestly, Rosan's luck outside of life situations, was amazing.

"Yeah what is it?" Sabo jumped in with interested eyes.

In his palms, Rosan presented a crackling yellow fruit that looked like a pear to them all with a cocky smirk.

"This is the Goro Goro no mi, Enel's Devil Fruit," Rosan told them all.

"WHAT?!" Everyone roared in disbelief.

"I knew it," Robin sighed.

Gan Fall felt his jaw slacken. "I… You… Well, even with that knowledge… better for you to have it then another person on the Sky Islands…"

He had no idea he was giving away Enel's Devil Fruit without a second thought… He actually didn't even know Rosan had finished off the Former Kami of Skypiea.

For it to spawn directly in one of the many fruit piles that Enel enjoyed eating so much…

"What are you going to do with it?" Robin asked.

She knew that if given the chance, Rosan would have her eat it but they were both already Devil Fruit users.

"Dunno just yet… Hey Sabo, wanna eat it?" Rosan asked calmly, gazing at his brother with a tilted head.

Sabo's eyes widened at that. "You're just offering me that Devil Fruit?!" He asked in disbelief.

"Sure. I don't really have anyone I want to give it too besides maybe Nami and you don't have a Devil Fruit so why not?" He retorted calmly. "You're the only brother without a Devil Fruit and it would balance out this way. Luffy and I have Paramecias, you and Ace would have Logias."

He gazed at his oldest brother with wide eyes. Was Rosan seriously going to just offer it to him without hesitation?

The revolutionary thought about it deeply, weighing the pros and cons before coming to a decision.

"As tempting as it is… I'll pass for now," Sabo denied eventually. "I'm fine without a Devil Fruit at the moment and I swim often when I'm on missions."

A Devil Fruit was a big change in life. It changed your core fundamentals and Sabo was content with his level at the moment.

Sure, the Goro Goro no mi, with enough practice, would boost him to even higher levels… but he wasn't pressed to reach that just yet.

Maybe in the future. Enel's usage of that fruit was surprisingly incredible... if Sabo did end up eating it, he'd have a good grounds to start.

Rosan nodded in understanding and had the fruit vanish into his Pocket Dimension. "Fine by me. If I haven't given it to someone else and you change your mind, feel free… Not that I know who I'm going to give it to."

Nami was a Navigator. There was no way she was ever going to accept this fruit.

With that done, the group finally prepared to set off.

"Got some last minute things to do then we're off," Rosan muttered. "Thanks for the gift Old Man… hopefully the next Goro Goro no mi user doesn't subjugate your entire island."

He sweatdropped but nodded in return. "Thank you once more for saving Skypiea… we will never be able to fully repay this debt."

Rosan waved him off. "Don't think about it too much. I know I won't. C'mon Robin. Sabo. We need to get everything situated so we can leave."

The two grabbed onto his shoulder and they promptly vanished.

----------------------------------------

Rosan stared nervously at Robin, as they both resided in one of the many rooms of their castle.

Robin sighed at his reluctance, before immediately removing her top. "Really, Rosan. It's completely okay. I trust you."

The redhead let out a rattled sigh. "I know it's just... what if I mess up? I don't wanna steal your Devil Fruit."

"You won't," she chided gently. "You have Modification and Mod-chan too, plus you can make holograms. Make one of me while you're inspecting my body and monitor it."

The redhead cursed. "Why are you so damn smart?" He complained. He was hoping she didn't mention that because he had just been about to say how he shouldn't do this without some sort of way to understand where he was navigating her body.

"I have to be because you're stupid," she smiled.

"Despite my reluctance... I have a general idea of the ability as well. I will ensure nothing goes wrong and Ram can keep an eye on the hologram for errors."

The ring transformed into her human form and saluted, before whistling. "Mother, your boobs are huge," she complimented, grinning wildly at the idea that Father needed to be touching them.

"Shut up Ram."

"...Sorry."

Robin rolled her eyes at the ring, used to her inappropriate comments (seriously, Ram had seen her naked so often now... was she serious?) and focused on Rosan. "The faster we get this over with, the faster you can stop being nervous."

The redhead jumped a bit at that before nodding reluctantly. "I won't use Extract Files fully. I'll test it out to see if I can manipulate it then leave it at that. Once I get confident enough... I can find another person and try it out fully on them."

The brunette nodded. "Okay that's perfect. I'm in your care."

He closed the distance and muttered under his breath, before a hologram of Robin formed, lines coursing through its body.

She inspected it curiously, only to let out a small yelp of surprise, at the warm palm resting directly atop her heart.

"His entire body always radiates such a soothing warmth. I guess that's what I should expect from a dragon who has mastered his flames," Robin noted absentmindedly.

"Let me know if its get too uncomfortable. We can stop immediately," Rosan muttered to her gently, eyes glowing as he got ready to activate the technique.

Robin, sensing that he was still nervous, sought to alleviate him in the best way she knew how...

"Come now, Rosan... you're standing here groping me and are so nervous? I'm starting to think the technique isn't the problem. Is my little sweet redhead shy around a woman older than him? You're normally so confident!" She asked in concern.

...By taunting him of course.

She resisted the urge to smile, as a scowl formed on his face.

"I am not groping you," he replied, nervousness melting away immediately as he glared at her.

"This is the second time too," Robin said as she effortlessly ignored him. "First my butt, now my breasts? I can't help but think you're taking advantage of me. Are you sure you're not a pervert—"

The woman abruptly let out an actual shout of surprise this time as the redhead actually squeezed down and she shut her mouth immediately.

"That's groping. I'm trying to do this as professionally as possible, I do not need you to call me a pervert," he grunted, turning to focus on the task.

Mod and Ram's jaw dropped to the floor at his actions.

W-Why was he like this?!

"You are incredibly shameless," Robin muttered, slightly flushed at his bold actions.

"You were asking for it. If I wanted to grope you, I'd be able to freely do so because you wouldn't even get mad like you're supposed to," he replied calmly, activating the technique and inspecting her body with a contemplative expression.

"Don't call me out like that. I can get mad! It's just hard to do so!" She shivered a bit at the alien sensation going on in her body but it finished as soon as it started.

"Right," he said dryly. "Me shamelessly groping you is not grounds to get upset. You're so normal Robin."

"If anyone else did it, I'd break their bones," she tried weakly.

"I'm honored to be exempt from your ire," he mock bowed.

The redhead stepped back, removing his palm and began muttering, eyes shining curiously.

"So it really was because Enel is a Logia. I could grasp your DNA easily and with enough practice, I should be able to extract it... the hard part, would be molding it with the fruit," he explained to her.

"Like this... I don't even think I have to fully remove your Devil Fruit, just a large enough sample would be enough to make a copy but I want to see if it has any negative effects so I won't ever do it to you first," Rosan pondered.

"He's such a nerd," Robin thought fondly, standing up.

She couldn't keep the smile off her face, as Rosan's eyes unwittingly flickered over to her from the sudden movement before he caught himself.

So he was right about his eyes moving reflexively from sudden movement.

"Sorry," he apologized, handing her shirt back to her.

"It's fine. You said yourself that it was a natural human reaction and we do bathe together. You know... most girls don't mind being stared at if it's someone they like and I said you're the only person I wouldn't be upset with," she dismissed, placing the shirt back on.

He smiled at her and pulled her into a hug. "Thanks for doing this for me... do you mind if we do this a few more times in the future? I want to get a perfect feel for it. I might ask Maro for help too just to see if a Zoan feels any different from a Paramecia and Logia."

Robin nodded in agreement, before smiling in a rather impish manner. "I knew you were a pervert. Trying to feel up not only me, but Maro too? I know she's grown quite blessed over the years but she's a married woman, Rosan. Perhaps you actually enjoy when she flirts with you?"

The woman let out a startled yell as Rosan tackled her to the floor.

"I'm not being professional anymore and you've been pretty annoying lately," he hissed, body sparking red.

Robin glared up at him, not even remotely intimidated by those sparks.

That was a mistake.

Rosan tapped her belly with a single finger and sent a tiny jolt through her.

"R-Rosan! You little insufferable brat!" Robin shouted, summoning an entire army of arms to push the redhead off and restrain him.

Before he could properly struggle, she lunged atop him and they quickly began brawling.

Ram put both hands to her rosy cheeks and swooned as she watched them hit each other without any hesitation. "Father is so bold! He should have squeezed her boobs for way longer!"

"Get help, all of you."

----------------------------------------

Rosan didn't get to rest at all and with his injuries, it left him rather drained.

The amount of new things he placed in his Pocket Dimension, had Mod frothing at the mouth at his hoarding tendencies.

"Please stop exaggerating."

He had taken Maro's ship, new crops, wavers, and dials over to Celadon, built a greenhouse on Angel Island, filled to the brim with soil for them, placed Maro's own crops in it, accepted even more unique things exclusive to Skypiea, brought Maro, Angel and Demon back to Celadon, gave them even more stuff and then he proceeded to steal some more things for himself.

Huh, maybe he was too greedy.

He still hadn't even visited Aiko yet… That could wait for later though.

He also showed his crew the gold he had secured them.

"WE'RE RICH!" Nami cheered with beri shaped eyes. "LOOK AT ALL THIS GOLD!"

They were all dancing in glee at the big stack of gold piled neatly on top of each other.

"That's only about a quarter of all the gold I got," Rosan muttered, wondering how the hell Nami managed to randomly get these superhuman feats of strength.

Seriously, this hug felt like it was going to break his ribs.

"A QUARTER?!" They gaped.

"Yeah that pillar was huge… I had to cut off some pieces because our ship would have sunk otherwise," he replied. "It's going to last us more then enough time and I probably won't even have to dip into my money for you guys anymore."

"WOOO!" Luffy cheered. "LETS BUY ALL THE MEAT IN THE WORLD!"

"I want booze," Zoro said.

"Can we buy a bigger fridge, with a built in lock?" Sanji asked.

"LETS GET 10 CANNONS!" Usopp shouted.

"I want more books on medicine from across the world!" Chopper requested.

Nami sweatdropped at them all. "If we get what you all want, we'll go broke in no time."

"Let Rosan and I decide how to allocate our funds… you can come to us with a request and we'll decide if it's worth getting," the navigator decided.

"Why are you giving me more duties?" Rosan sighed forlornly, falling back tiredly against Robin. "I'm tired."

"We'll go to sleep soon," Robin assured with a small smile. The redhead had been ran ragged and it was his fault for insisting he was fine.

"It's about time we leave," Nami muttered. "Do we have everything, Rosan?"

"Yeah. I got us a bunch of new stuff," he said tiredly, burying himself deeper into Robin with a satisfied hum. "Please don't ask me to do anything else. You guys are fine."

The navigator nodded. "We just have to follow Conis and Pagaya so that we can leave."

"Awww, we have to leave already?" Luffy sighed in disappointment.

"If we ever want to visit again, we can just have Rosan fly us up!" Nami assured.

They all perked up at that and glanced at the redhead with glittering eyes.

"...You guys just really decided that on your own?" he popped one eye open.

They smiled brightly.

"...I hate you all."

----------------------------------------

"So once we pass through this gate, we just have to take the Milky Road back into the sea?"

"Yes, please be careful!" Conis called out to the group. "THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I HOPE WE SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN ONE DAY!"

The crew waved goodbye as they began preparations to fully leave.

"Make sure you pull up your sail!" Pagaya informed them. "Be careful of the drop!"

They blinked.

"Drop?"

Then they dropped.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Chopper, Usopp and Nami's eyes bugged in disbelief as they fell off Sky Island.

Rosan's tired gaze turned alert as he prepared to fly them the rest of the way down, but there was no need to worry.

A giant floating octopus latched onto their ship and began floating down gently through the air, allowing the scout to once more relax.

The redhead placed his head back onto Robin's lap and sighed.

"It's pretty peaceful," Rosan commented, gazing into her blue eyes in a bit of wonder.

She smiled brightly at those glowing eyes of his and idly brushed a hand against his hair.

"I think we got far more then we bargained, coming up here," she told him.

Rosan cracked a smile at that. "Just a bit."

Haki, technology, a Devil Fruit, new elements, gold, his emotions… They really did come out of Sky Island with far more then they went in with.

"Thank you, Robin," Rosan said suddenly, eyes turning soft as he gazed up at her.

"Hm? Why are you thanking me?" She asked curiously with a raised brow.

The redhead hummed a tune, as they began to hear the loud but gentle sound of the Golden Bell.

It rang through the air as a farewell to them and the entire crew basked in it.

Robin found herself falling into a lull as Rosan's pleasant voice seeped into her.

"Since coming up here, you've done more for me then I could put into words. You reprimanded me, you told me to rely on you, you cared for me... you made me realize just how much I care for you," Rosan said softly, eyes shining brightly.

The Devil Child blinked, stunned silent as she listened to his words.

"The knowledge that I needed to keep you safe from Enel… it motivated me to win that fight. I wouldn't have been able to unlock my emotions without you and it made me realize…"

Robin felt her throat lock up as those intense eyes stared directly into her own with an emotion she couldn't quite pinpoint.

"Meiko told me that I already found a reason worth living for and I thought about it the entire time I was up there but now I know… Nico Robin, You're the reason worth living for so thank you for putting up with an honest idiot like me... I don't know what I'd do without you."

Rosan's mouth spread into a small grin that showed teeth and Robin found herself floored because she could see exactly what Demon meant, when he said that the redhead was beautiful when human.

That small grin meant everything to her.

It would perhaps never match the size of little Rosan but it didn't need to because it was still a grin at the end of the day and Robin wanted nothing more then to protect it.

"I…" Robin was honestly speechless, much like how she always was when Rosan gave her one of his fulfilling speeches.

So she just nodded tightly and stared into the eyes filled with a love that was not there earlier this week.

A love that she had missed for who knows how long. A love that reminded her of just how far Rosan was willing to go for her…

Even when they were far more blanketed, he reserved certain looks just for her and nobody else. To her, Rosan was the world and vice versa. They both needed each other and never hid that detail from the others.

That's what she loved about him and that's why she had feelings for—

Wait.

Hold on a minute.

Feelings?

"Oh no," Robin thought in realization.

Nami (who had been listening in with an eager and fond gleam), Ram and Mod grinned in unison, as they saw Robin look at Rosan with the faintest of blushes.

They all resisted the urge to squeal at the same time.

"Oh yes!" They all thought to themselves.

"Do I... have feelings for Rosan?" Robin thought in disbelief.

As she thought about that, she gazed at the fondly grinning redhead and expertly schooled her expression due to Rosan still staring at her.

That was the wrong thing to do.

Rosan's smile swiftly vanished and he got way too close to her own face with a look of concern.

"You alright?" He muttered lowly, making sure no one could hear in case she wasn't. "Did I say something wrong? I promise I wasn't trying to be harsh on myself. I've been seriously taking your words into account."

"No… it was nothing," she said, as her mind ran a mile a minute.

His eyes narrowed suspiciously. "It's gotta be something. I know you and all your little tells."

That sent a pleased tingle through her and the Devil Child resisted the urge to shudder.

"No really, Rosan… your words just sent me deep into thought. I appreciate them more then you could imagine," Robin assured honestly, wrapping him in a hug to hopefully distract him.

Thankfully, it worked and the redhead immediately relaxed in her grasp, sending another pleased tingle that turned into a roar as he hugged her close.

How could she tell Rosan that it wasn't that something was wrong… but the complete opposite?

His words had hit her in all the correct places and it made Robin starkly aware of a new detail.

That being, she was pretty sure her childish crush on Rosan was back and it wasn't so childish anymore.

Every word of his, sent a tingle. Every memory, was looked at so differently. Even just the one earlier today, where he was practicing Extract Files, was suddenly so much different.

This was bad. This was really bad. Neither of them were ready for a relationship right now so why now of all times did her crush have to come back?

"You're comfy and I'm tired... I'm goin to sleep," Rosan mumbled, yawning and furling deeper into her.

"Y...You sleep, I'll read a book in the meantime," Robin muttered, gazing at his features with furrowed brows.

Surely it was a mistake. Was this... Was this real—

Rosan sent her a small smile that halted her train of thoughts, into absolutely nothing.

Ah, it was real. She had fallen for him hard hadn't she?

"YES! HAHAHAHA, I FUCKING WON!" Ram roared in glee, making sure the connection was cut off so she could cheer without arousing suspicion.

The ring grabbed Mod and began jumping around in glee, effortlessly spinning with the shorter woman.

Mod was too happy to chastise Ram for her language.

Step 1 of Operation: Robin & Rosan was complete. Now that they knew one person was guaranteed interested, it was time to bombard them with the full might of their family.

The Devil Child herself, felt an unexplainable chill crawl down her spine.

Rosan snored inaudibly on her lap.

Memory Viewing With Robin and Rosan - 7 (Covers Chapter 20)

Continued!

(Time frame is between Alabasta and Jaya)

----------------------------------------

"Hurry up."

Rosan shot Robin a slightly incredulous look, as she urged him to bed.

"Can I finish my workout?" He retorted calmly, staring at her evenly despite being in a perfect handstand.

She gazed at the shirtless redhead with a flat gaze, already dressed in her nightwear. "No. We've already worked out enough today. You're going to start sweating soon and then you're going to say you want to take a shower next," she informed him calmly.

The redhead sighed and pushed himself up, before expertly flipping and landing upright.

"Fine," he grunted, making his way to the bed. "You become so demanding for the strangest of things."

Robin smiled victoriously. "I enjoy watching your memories. I thought I made this clear," she said with a small shrug.

The redhead resisted the urge to sigh at yet another spoiled person commanding him.

"Nothing you want to do? Hungry? Thirsty?" He asked, gazing down at the woman who had already wrapped herself in covers to counteract the everpresent cool temperature of the castle in his Pocket Dimension.

Robin pointed at the cabinet next to her with a platter of sandwiches and a rather large cup of lemonade.

"Thanks to a certain mother hen, I have immediate access to both," Robin said dryly, tilting her head forward a little. "Tie my hair into a bun?"

The redhead nodded easily and leaned in, grasping her hair with nimble and quick fingers.

"Honestly, you're so overprotective of me, I don't find myself wanting because you've probably already sensed and given it to me," Robin sighed, liking the way his fingers manipulated her hair.

"That's because you're so passive. You won't speak up if you want something, if you even slightly view it as an inconvenience for another person," Rosan muttered, leaving the single red strand free and parting the rest of her back. "You're too kind. Be a little more demanding."

The Devil Child protested at being called out so bluntly. "I'm ordering you around, aren't I?" She asked in defense of herself.

"Who else have you ordered around besides me? I'm encouraging you to boss me around in hopes that you'll boss others. Since you know how much I don't like being ordered, it should make you more inclined to demand things from others," he said encouragingly.

The redhead removed his hand from her bun and made her look up at him by grasping her cheek. "You've grown up punished for wanting even the littlest of things on Ohara... You don't have to feel that fear with me. I promise, ask for something and I'll do everything in my power to give it to you. No one should be punished for having desires," he said softly.

Robin looked into his eyes and felt her throat lock up at that, not expecting the conversation to suddenly become serious.

Her best friend really didn't know just how much she appreciated when he said things like that... To go to such an abusive lifestyle, into his loving arms was a shift that she had gotten used to years ago... and was struggling to get used to once more.

She was glad Rosan was putting in an earnest effort to make her feel just as belonged as the days when they were children.

"I... thank you, Rosan," Robin said softly. "I'm glad you're here reminding me of little things like this."

"It's my duty," he said seriously hugging her gently before placing on a silver tee. "Now let's continue the memories."

She nodded, before a thought occurred to her. "Actually, if you're insisting that you'll give me what I want... transform into a woman," Robin said mischievously.

Her smile widened as Rosan turned a startled gaze towards her, neutral gaze confused.

"No. What is wrong with you?" Rosan asked curiously, slipping under the covers and taking his spot right next to her on the giant mattress. "Why are you so obsessed with my female form? Are you a genuine pervert?"

"No, I like tormenting you," she admitted shamelessly. "Now do it."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

Robin's eyes narrowed.

Rosan followed suit.

----------------------------------------

"Hi Mother and Mother!" Ram greeted eagerly, flying into the utterly unamused Rosan's grasp.

The redheaded woman caught her and felt her gaze flatten even further, as Ram shamelessly poked at her breast.

"You did this to me," Ram muttered with a glower.

Rosan didn't understand what the fascination with this form stemmed from. Was it because he was a male and the idea that he could show them a normally impossible, was too tempting to resist?

Robin smiled and accepted the hug next.

"Refrain from calling me Mother again," Rosan warned once, long red hair fluttering with the shake of her head.

Ram saluted and straightened at that deep, soothing voice. "Y-Yes, Ma'am!"

Red and purple bored into her and the ring shrunk behind the terrible amused Mod.

The Devil Fruit gazed at her son turned daughter and shook her head in disbelief.

Absolutely absurd.

"I've already set everything up. I quite enjoy watching the memories on a bed so I kept the seats like that as well," Mod informed them, allowing the redhead to take the lead.

Robin easily took Rosan's side and stared at the woman standing the same height as her.

"Does that mean as a male, I'd be the same or taller than you while you're a male?" She mused curiously, looking at all the pretty features of the redhead without having to angle her head slightly.

Rosan sideyed her and Robin snorted at how naturally disgusted the royal redhead looked with everything.

"You're free to find out," she offered.

"Pass," Robin replied easily.

The redhead snorted.

They all made it to the room and easily took their places.

"This is a lot more embarrassing," Mod mumbled, resting the side of her head against Rosan's chest as usual.

"Imagine how I feel," Rosan muttered in return, unable to believe Robin actually roped him into doing this.

"Stop being so dramatic," Robin sighed, sinking into her best friends frame while accepting Ram's affections.

The redhead gazed at her unimpressed, while holding out a hand and starting the stream.

"I'm convinced you're a pervert. You seemed far too happy cuddling me as we fell asleep," she said blandly, sighing at the absurdity of Robin.

Robin nodded with an amused smile, watching as the 4 brothers went through their usual antics. "You're still firm, but also with a hint of squishiness! It's surprising how comfortable you are," she praised, squeezing the woman's arms to prove her point.

Soft but firm, Rosan's muscular frame had softened dramatically on this form but there was still definition there that made it clear the redhead worked out.

It reminded her of Maro.

"...Squishy?" Rosan muttered to herself, gazing at her woman form and taking his eyes off the screen of him training with his brothers. "What does this form do to you? You're suddenly so depraved," the redhead pointed out in a bit of disbelief.

"...I'm not sure," Robin mused genuinely. "It just feels far easier to harass you when your like this," she admitted.

"...What a twisted thing you just said," Rosan sighed, focusing fully on the memory.

Robin simply smiled and did the same, idly leaning into the redhead with a pleased hum.

Rosan's life had for once, taken on a more normal tone. He would train with his brothers, visit and work with Makino, listen to Mod complain about how he was getting older and more attractive, go back to his brothers, cook the food they captured into something quite good and head to sleep.

It was endearing watching Rosan act so normal. He hadn't had the luxury since he was 4.

The normalcy of the events finally broke one day, when he and his brothers had decided to try some food in high town.

Despite having Modification, his adorable little brothers had climbed atop each other in a silly disguise that made them ludicrously tall.

Even after Rosan made it clear he could disguise them all, they still didn't discard the outfit and instead made the 14 year old join them.

Robin cooed at the sight of Rosan with blond hair and electric blue eyes.

"I wonder if this is how a child between you and Meiko would have looked," she pondered.

"I wonder how a child between you and Father would look," Ram sighed dreamily at the thought of a younger sibling.

Rosan hummed. "Maybe with a bit more of a mix of features," she replied.

"They'd be adorable," Robin sighed with a small smile, watching as Rosan haggled a vendor with expert precision and sold off the Crocodile with admirable skill.

"What about you two?!" Ram asked shamelessly, gazing at her parents with an innocent gleam.

The two blinked at the question and glanced at each other.

"A child between Rosan and I?" Robin asked slowly, pondering the question.

"Mod-chan is convinced my first will be a girl, so I'd like her to have my red hair," Rosan said thoughtfully.

"It's only fair she has my blue eyes then... though I'd love if they glowed like yours," the Devil Child responded.

"That's fair... we both have great features too so I'll have to be extra protective of them... a mini combination of the two of us will be too desired," the redhead actually sighed in displeasure, pursing her lips and making Robin giggle.

"I very much doubt they'll be leaving our sight until they're an adult regardless. With you, me, Ram and Mod? There is such thing as too protected," the brunette joked.

Rosan alone was too much, but with Mod-chan and Ram wanting to be an older sister?

That poor child.

Ram's eyes glittered in awe as she imagined the little sibling. "Don't worry! Big sis Ram, will make sure nothin happens to her at all!" She beamed.

The duo blinked. Why was Ram speaking as if they had already planned for a child?

Mod sighed at how unsubtle Ram was. "Look, this is a very important talk for the boys," she pointed out in hopes of distracting them.

Robin, who had been keeping one eye on the memory, turned to focus her full attention to it at that.

After being spotted sneaking into the food establishment, the 4 troublemakers had leapt through a window and immediately sprinted away at top speed.

No one even came close to catching the boys and even if they had, Rosan was there to make sure nothing of the sorts happened.

Him remaining vigilant, was what allowed the disguised teen to spot a man recognizing Sabo.

"Is that his Father?" Robin asked.

"Yes. He was hospitalized from a heart attack 2 years ago," Rosan informed her, eyes flashing cruelly.

"...Why do you know that?" She muttered with a bit of sweat.

The swapped redhead gazed at her. "Because I'm the reason of course," she said without hesitation.

Rosan was so twisted.

"What? I'm not hiding anything!"

"Really?"

"Of course he is, Luffy! Tell us, Sabo!"

Robin watched Ace begin grilling Sabo with no mercy. The freckled boy was relentless, demanding the blonde tell them what that was, before resorting to choking the life out of him.

She still found it hard to compare the freckled boy to the middle brother they had met in Alabasta. Ace had truly changed for the better.

The weight on his shoulder, hearing Sabo talk about his parents in such a negative light, despite being a noble... To Ace, just the idea of having parents must have been a privilege so he couldn't understand why Sabo would throw not only that, but wealthiness away too.

It was a depressing thought.

Little Rosan, listened without intervening once, knowing it was something they would need to figure out together because it didn't matter to him...

"It seems that whenever I meet someone of royal heritage, their life is anything but good. Being born with royal blood, doesn't always equal a pleasant life," the teen thought quietly.

"Good parents seem difficult to come by," Robin agreed with the thought.

"It's a shame..." Rosan sighed.

"Auntie, what's with that look in your eyes?" Young Ram asked suddenly.

Robin perked up at that.

"It's… I'm just thinking about the past," Young Mod said vaguely.

"...Mod-chan, did you always know about Rosan's mother? Is that how he found out about her?" Robin asked the woman.

Mod nervously bit her lip and nodded. "I did, yes. I viewed Rosan's earliest memories almost as soon as I could so I saw Raisa when he was still 4."

"I wonder Mod-chan, are you thinking about your past… or are you thinking about mine?" Young Rosan pointed out easily.

Robin never realized just how well Rosan could see through Mod-chan. It was easy for the Devil Fruit to see through him but the other way around? He knew her so well and noticed every little tick about her.

"I reveal her to him soon... I can show the memory of Raisa if you want when that time comes," Mod told her quietly, a flash of displeasure crossing her features at the thought of the woman who looked so much like the swapped Rosan.

"...I'd like to see it," the Devil Child said eventually.

"Ace! Luffy! Rosan! We gotta set out to sea someday! Let's get out of this country and live freely! I wanna see the world out there and write a book about it! Let's become stronger and become pirates someday!" Sabo announced with a wide grin.

Robin watched fondly as Ace and Luffy easily followed suit, unable to resist grinning at Luffy's declaration and then they all zeroed in on Rosan.

"I have no dreams anymore."

She hated how that message was delivered. There was no soul in Rosan's voice, no inflection... just a quiet resignation that made her clutch the redhead next to her a tad tighter.

She wanted him to have dreams again. Rosan was a dreamer after all and those dreams are what made him so good with Modification.

Evidently, the three boys hated the way he said that too because they began hounding the redhead there.

It didn't take long for Rosan to concede to them and it was a testament, that he was so quickly able to trust the three fully. The boys listened to Rosan tell them how he had wanted to be the strongest in the world so he could keep those he loved safe and how all of that had vanished, the moment Meiko died.

Robin didn't know how he could muster up the courage to tell this story time and time again... she didn't think she could do so.

"Does it get easier?" She asked the redhead quietly.

Rosan pondered the question until she came to a startling realization.

"I... don't know," the redhead confessed quietly.

"Oh Rosan," Robin thought with a sad frown, offering the redhead her presence and wrapping an arm around the feminine figure.

"I'll help you."

The Devil Child stilled at that, gazing back at the stream by that simple statement.

"Luffy?" She asked quietly, even despite the fact that he wasn't actually there to reply.

"I'll help you, Rosan! We'll go on the biggest, best adventure ever and I'll make you say you found a new reason to live! You'll become the strongest, just watch!" The child declared with pure resolve in his eyes.

"That's going to be hard to accomplish. I've been trying for two years with little to no success," Rosan said as a way to dissuade the child.

"I don't care! I'll do it because you're my nakama and I'm your captain and we're friends!" Luffy said simply.

"Well if you put it that way, I guess I have to help too," Ace grinned.

"Alright! Count me in! I'll help you get better because I like you, Rosan!" Sabo joined.

Robin listened to them in shock and gazed at the three little boys who somehow became even more precious to her.

"It's charming, no?" Rosan asked curiously, soft voice making her shiver. "The most fascinating thing about it is... They're this way with everyone they care about. It doesn't matter if you're blood or not... if they love you, they'll go to the end of the world for you."

The brunette sat in silence for a while before a warm feeling coursed through her.

"They're just like you," she thought fondly, gazing back at the screen.

The boys were all together again, but with a bottle of sake, courtesy of Ace.

"Did you guys know?! We can become brothers if we exchange this cup of sake!" The freckled boy announced with an eager grin and Robin couldn't stop the fondness from swelling at just how adorable they all were.

She felt her heart grow in size, at seeing Ace accept Rosan as a brother and feeling the burst of warmth that flooded the redhead's body at said acceptance.

"You know, I think I love them too," Robin said eventually.

"I'm sure they love you as well. Luffy certainly does. I showed them all our old memories... they know alot about our relationship," Rosan said truthfully.

She blinked and smiled at her best friend. "I'm glad despite all this, you didn't push me out of your mind," she admitted.

The woman's heterochromatic eyes turned away and Robin watched the beautiful girl turn guilty. "After I realized what I did, I never stopped thinking about how I wronged you. I wanted to find you for a very long time, but for so long, I thought you were in the Grand Line."

"I shouldn't have placed that stupid rule on you," Mod said despondently. "You were more then able at your current age to traverse the Grand Line and at least look for her... By yourself, I wouldn't have been nearly as worried for our safety," she admitted.

Robin looked at the glum duo and took her eyes off the screen of Rosan chatting with Maro, Demon and Angel.

"You two, I'm telling you it's okay. Truly, I'm just so glad we finally have each other again. Please don't think I have any resentment towards either of you," Robin assured, leaning over Rosan a bit to drag Mod into the hug as well.

"R-Right," Mod muttered back, leaning over and hugging the woman.

Rosan grunted. "Get your elbows off my breast," she demanded.

The two jumped and remembered that yes, Rosan was not a man right now.

Mod burned red as she realized where her elbow was and hastily withdrew it.

"See? Squishy," Robin said easily, removing her own elbow.

"I hate you," Rosan groused with an unamused stare.

"No fair!" Ram complained pushing herself up and launching her body atop Rosan's. "I want Mother's affections too!" She whined.

The redhead sighed in annoyance for the umpteenth time at the sudden weight. "Enjoy it now. This experience will not be one you experience often. Also, refrain from calling me Mother."

Ram simply grinned happily and snuggled Rosan with a pleased sigh. "You really are squishy."

"...I hate this," Rosan muttered.

Robin laughed lightly and gazed back at the screen, noting that Maro was hellbent on meeting Rosan's new brothers now.

Of course a meeting between these psychos would only end in one way.

A fight.

After getting pleasantries out of the way, Maro, ever the show off just like her teacher, demanded they spar to give the kids a good view.

"Has Maro remained winless against you?" Robin asked curiously.

"...In one on one combat, yes," Rosan replied after some thought. "Later on in the years, her and Ace actually acquired quite a bit of synergy and managed to catch me off guard in one of the 2v2s. I'm sure if we did our standard 2v2 again, Luffy and I would lose more often than not now."

The Devil Child nodded at that. Ace had grown ridiculously powerful over the years. It was surreal but Robin had also been in the Grand Line for a long time so she could see exactly how he got so strong so quickly.

The spar between Rosan and Maro was utterly thrilling to behold, like all their battles. The two berserkers scarcely had an idea what defense was and just continuously attacked each other over and over again, with almost no regard for each others safety.

But like all the spars, Rosan's versatility combined with his incredible adaptability proved too much for Maro and the redhead finished her off with a rather brutal looking slam from an incredible height.

"Just watching that, makes me want to train," Robin sighed despondently. The battle genes of all the battle freaks, had finally reached her.

"It's fun, isn't it?!" Ram asked excitedly, resisting the urge to transform into a weapon just for the hell of it. "I love fighting!"

"You and Rosan both," Mod said dryly.

"I'm surprised you don't, Mod-chan," Robin interjected with a raised brow.

The Devil Fruit hummed. "I don't mind it at all and I even admit that it can be fun... but I don't very much like getting my hands dirty or jeopardizing Rosan's body. It's why I fight the way I do."

"At a distance," the brunette mused.

"I've been told her fighting style is, "cheating and boring and lame as hell" from Maro," Rosan said, a bit of amusement shining in her eyes.

"I-Is not! I use a controlling and calculated style," Mod complained, glaring at everyone on the screen for ogling her shirtless son. "Maro is just upset that she can't be a brute when I'm her opponent!"

"Booooring, Auntie," Ram sighed despondently, watching the perverts with a glower.

The Devil Fruit spluttered and immediately reached out to grab the ring's cheek, abusing the fact that Ram was far closer.

Robin and Rosan both expertly ignored the sudden whining and continued watching the stream.

Makino had come to pay the boys a visit, causing her to meet the residents of Celadon, Ace and Sabo. They all got along swimmingly and the kind woman had even thought to bring them clothes!

"I'd like to meet Makino-san one day," Robin said suddenly.

Ram froze in horror.

"Do you? Why?" Rosan asked curiously. Makino was kind, but she was very average. In Rosan's eyes, she was a good friend but she was too normal.

"Don't be so cold," the Devil Child admonished her best friend. "She's a sweet person and you left her on East Blue. She probably misses Maro and Angel too!"

The redhead rolled her eyes. "We can visit her one of these days then. I'm not putting a Save Point on her though. It would be a waste."

Robin sighed. "You are so cold sometimes, you need to be more considerate—"

She froze as the memory shifted to them all eating dinner, until Young Rosan froze and gazed immediately at the door.

Garp lumbered in the doorway without a care in the world.

Naturally Rosan didn't take kindly to that.

"Go outside so we can continue from last time or else this whole building will be caught in the crossfire."

Robin shuddered at how willing Rosan was to fight one of the strongest forces in the Government, despite the disparity in strength.

That total lack of fear... it worried her. Rosan had always been reckless, but this was too reckless. He stood no chance against Garp... he just wasn't ready enough.

She was proven right as his attacks failed to even dent the man.

Not even transforming into Ragnarok in the middle of a forest, phased Garp. The Old Marine was treating it like any normal day as he effortlessly dealt with Rosan.

Honestly, what a monster. Was he even affected by old age?

"Why didn't you come with us that day?" Garp asked the teen suddenly.

Robin knew that if he were capable, Young Rosan would be sneering in pure rage right now.

"I would rather die then put my trust in a group of people who would condemn a newborn for the sins of their parent. I was 4 and I had to watch my innocent mother die because of your organization. You think I don't know the cause of my mother's death? You think I don't know who caused it?"

She couldn't help but bite her lip at the way the room shifted at those words. A wave of depression hit everyone listening and she saw the ever emotional Maro and Makino tearing up immediately.

"Gramps, is that true?" Little Luffy asked so innocently, so sadly that it knocked the wind out of Garp.

Robin didn't know much about Garp, but she knew enough to know that the Hero of the Marines getting on his knees and bowing, was not something he would do.

"I'm sorry," he said gravely.

The Devil Child paused as a small wave of actual disbelief, coursed through Rosan's body.

"You're... sorry?"

Of course that would never be enough for him. No one was as vindictive and petty as Rosan.

"Monkey D. Garp. All I ever wanted, was to spend my days with my loving mother and my baby brother in peace. All I wanted, was to be a big brother and to have the safety of my mother. But for 20 months, my mother, Portgas D. Rouge, was forced to endure the hellish process of pregnancy. Through sheer will. All because of you morally inept Marines. All because you wanted to kill my little brother. All because my little brother's birth was considered a sin to the entire world. My same little brother who was condemned to death the very moment he was born."

Robin shuddered at how a lifeless tone could convey such hatred. This version of Rosan... he was scary in a different way. Being so lifeless... it really was scary knowing that someone cared so little about everything around them, that not even their own body was a concern.

It made you fear what they would do to you more.

"I never wanted it to be like this," Garp said quietly.

"Bullshit," Rosan snarled violently, actual anger showing on his teen face. "You only knew about Ace because he told you right? Before he got killed, he must have asked you to save him and that's how you knew. But you only came 20 months after his death."

The Virus? Again? Robin listened to the slight inflection in Rosan's words and tried to spot any sign that he was being influenced...

Nothing. How was this possible? How was the virus able to influence him?

Rosan gazed stonily at the screen while Mod stared nervously. Robin didn't miss the way the Devil Fruit glanced over at the female version of her charge but if Rosan noticed, she made no indication.

Robin knew better. She was sure Rosan noticed but the Devil Child was too caught up in the conversation between Rosan and Garp.

"Mama's last wish for me, was to help Ace grow into an amazing person. I couldn't do that in the condition I was in. I was four and I just lost my mother. I would never have been able to properly raise Ace into the man she wanted him to be. So against all my better judgment, I chose to trust you despite what you were apart of. Trust that you could raise Ace better than I could because Mom trusted you. I trusted that you could honor Mama's words better than I could because I already failed to remain with him."

His logic was sound. Even as a 4 year old, Rosan had been smart for his age so his plan really was good in hindsight...

"But you failed."

Robin winced at the same time as everyone else.

Perhaps... it was a good thing Rosan's emotions had been sealed at the time.

"My mother spent 20 months of agony making sure Ace was able to live, but my ten year old brother is questioning whether he should be alive or not. Whatever happened to me, I deserve because this is the life I chose. But Ace never chose this life and you're the one to blame for forcing him to live like this. I'm a failure and that's why I trusted you with him. I just never expected you to be a bigger failure than me."

Failure... how Robin hated when Rosan referred to himself as one. He was anything but. Rosan had been a child. A child who was being raised by a Devil Fruit with a rudimentary understanding of emotions and a neglected girl who had just gotten her island destroyed.

They had tried their best for the 4 year old... but they were still ill equipped to raise the volatile child. No one was equipped to deal with a child who's emotions dominated his entire being...

None except someone who should be familiar with it, such as his mother.

But even despite that, Rosan was no failure. He was an incredible boy who just wanted the best for everyone he loved and blamed himself when that didn't work. He didn't understand what it meant to share blame.

Robin hated that he couldn't see that. She hated it so much.

But baby steps Robin. One at a time. She just needed Rosan to slip up and she'd strike while the opportunity was prime.

"I thought just guaranteeing his safety would have been enough. As long as he's safe and away from the World Government's eyes, he can have a semi normal childhood. That's what I thought but it wasn't enough. You're right, Ace deserved to live his own life, free of his Father's sin but he wasn't able to escape it. If I could do something different, I would but it's too late to change what's already done..."

Robin didn't think Garp was the type of person to own up to his mistakes in such a grave way. There was no sign of the goofy old man who delivered fists of love. No... right now, Garp was just a Marine who had seen it all and was tired as a result.

"But that doesn't mean you aren't right. I spit in you and your mother's face and I truly am sorry for that. I know that's not enough for you to forgive me so if you want to attack me, do it. I won't try and stop you or resist. It's the least you deserve," the old man said and that was that.

Nevermind, the idiot was still there... She understood his intentions, but giving Rosan an opportunity like this.

"I genuinely can't believe Monkey D. Garp is alive," Robin stated, watching Rosan pocket the gun after deeply contemplating blowing his brains out.

"No one deserves to watch family die," Young Rosan stated so quietly, they strained to hear him.

Robin flinched harshly at that statement, expression pinching a bit.

"If they didn't see Garp as their grandfather, I would have killed him without a second thought," Rosan said softly. "But they did... and I just became their brother. I wouldn't have been able to take family away from my own brothers so soon after we made that declaration... so I spared him."

"You did the right thing, Rosan... I know you have a lot of anger in your heart at the World Government, but Garp is one of the few saving it from complete corruption," Robin muttered, running a hand through those long spikes.

The redhead said nothing before she let out a quiet sigh and shifted the memory. "I suppose so. We stole techniques from him, so I guess he has his uses... but he's taken to calling me his grandson and I despise that."

"Yeah! You're his granddaughter right now!" Ram beamed, atop her temporary mother.

The grin vanished as hands, as soft as Mod's, gripped her cheek and squeezed with even more hellish strength.

"O-O-OW!" Ram squealed as Rosan pulled at her cheeks with no remorse. "I'M SOWWY FATHER! P-PLEASE LET AUNTIE PINCH MY CHEEKS INSTEAD!"

Mod's brows raised high at that and she looked at the immaculate hands of Rosan with a newfound respect.

"Maybe I'll ask Rosan to do it in my stead," she mused.

Ram shook her head rapidly. "I'll be good! I pwomise!"

"She promised, Rosan," Robin smiled gently at the unamused ice queen.

The redhead promptly released her hands from Ram's cheek and the ring weakly crawled off of her demon of a Father and climbed atop the much kinder Robin instead.

Robin merely shifted a bit and accepted her. Ram was tall, how did Rosan look totally unfazed with the ring resting on her frame? They were the same height right now!

The Devil Child's musings were suddenly cut short, as Mod did a sharp intake and she gazed at the woman in concern.

The memory had just shown Angel helping the brothers build their base into something respectable so why was the Devil Fruit suddenly so nervous?

"You wanted to talk to me, Mod-chan?" that familiar quiet voice asked.

"Y-Yes... I wanted to t-talk —"

Robin stilled at that. Was this the memory she thought it was?

Gazing back at the screen. She saw the ever composed Rosan, staring at the nervous Mod while Ram gazed at the Devil Fruit with some confusion.

Judging by how nervous both the Mod on the screen and the Mod right next to Rosan looked, yes it was.

"Rosan... as you probably realized, I haven't been very... active lately. Well, I was actually... looking into the castle... Do you remember the burst of anger you felt when confronting Garp a few weeks ago?"

Robin watched with undivided attention. Young Rosan was already suspecting something based on those few sentences and was content to let Mod speak her mind, no matter how anxious it made her.

Thankfully, Young Ram was far more merciful, asking if the woman was doing alright and getting Mod to relax a tad.

"...Has Ram been shielding Mod-chan?" Robin thought to herself, gazing down at the ring who was looking uncharacteristically calm.

The Devil Child pursed her lips at that. Now that she thought about it, Ram hardly left the Devil Fruits side and it was clear Rosan had a soft spot for his ring. Perhaps this entire time, the ring was operating on her own agenda, much like how they hadn't known she wanted a mother.

Ram was far smarter then she acted. Robin wouldn't put it past her.

"There are two versions of me," Mod said bluntly, snapping the brunette out of her musings.

Robin watched Young Ram's jaw drop, while Young Rosan raised a single brow.

"Two versions of you? Like an alter ego? How is that possible? I've known you since I was four and you've never even once indicated that you have another —"

Robin went stiff at Rosan pausing and those piercing orbs of his landed directly on Mod.

"Explain," was all he said and that was that.

Robin listened to Mod explain the Virus' origins and felt her eyes widen at hearing that there was a virus attached to the A.I Vegapunk had used.

If Rosan had his emotions, words would not have been able to explain how furious he would have been with Mod.

But he didn't have his emotions, so all he settled for, was questioning her about the virus.

"So she sealed it early on in his life to avoid him meeting the fate of his previous wielders," Robin thought, frowning a bit at hearing that it failed.

Not only did it fail, the virus had managed to sneak in its influence regardless, going as far as to do it even before the castle's creation.

That made Robin shudder. Even as far as when he was 4? Just how of the virus' thoughts, did Rosan think were his own? To poison the mind and then take over... had it been trying to do that at Daybreak?

"They've been hiding this whole time and they snuck into the castle when it formed. Now if I want my emotions, I'll have no choice but to confront them. When that time comes, I wonder what you'll do because I already know what I'm going to do."

To hear Rosan throw doubt on even Mod... despite knowing their conflict in regards to the virus, it still left Robin stunned. The redhead almost always listened to his mother. He never had an reason to doubt her but with this, it seems like Rosan was finally fed up.

That blank gaze bore into his mother without a hint of remorse as the teen said, "Mod-chan, would you so willingly get rid of your alter ego if it meant saving me? Would you let me get rid of them if those were my intentions?"

Robin watched sympathetically, as Mod froze like a deer in headlights. There was hurt on her features but the redhead never changed his stance.

The Devil Child watched as Mod slowly began crumbling under the pressure of Rosan pressing her but it seemed even the redhead couldn't see her like this, emotions or not.

So he offered her an alternative.

"Will you handle the virus? Even without my interference? Can I trust that you have this handled despite past mistakes?" The teenager asked quietly.

That simple question, put the woman in tears but as quick as they came, she wiped them off and nodded in determination.

"I will. You don't have to worry. I'll deal with the virus and you deal with getting your emotions back. Once that castle opens, we'll deal with both the issues inside of it."

Robin smiled at the woman's resolve, but it was wiped away as she noticed the way Rosan was staring at his mother. Even after the tension bled away and they hugged, the redhead continued to look at her.

Then... then he plastered a fake smile on his face.

Mod and Ram didn't seem to notice and even now they didn't... but she did.

She idly snaked a hand over to the redhead's side and tapped her in a way that let the computer man (woman) know she wanted to have a private talk.

Rosan easily acquiesced with her request and she felt the link of just the two of them forming.

"What was that?" Robin asked bluntly, gazing at the screen. "That look to Mod-chan. What was that, Rosan?"

The redhead's face never shifted even once, as the memory changed. "It was simply preparations," she said calmly.

"Preparations?" Robin asked warily.

"I do not think Mod can deal with the Virus. I think Mod cares too much for the Virus. At the time, I began preparing for the worst scenario."

Robin stilled at that. "Rosan? What's the worst scenario?"

"..." Rosan closed his eyes. "I don't think it will ever reach that... but I must prepare for every scenario otherwise..."

"Rosan, what do you mean?" Robin pressed, unable to keep the concern off her face.

"...I have to make sure I don't fully break, on the chance that Mod-chan turns her back on me for the virus."

Bonus

"You've given birth to a baby boy, Queen Raisa."

Raisa huffed harshly, sweat pouring down her features as the pain settled and she gazed at her personal doctor holding the wailing baby.

Over the 9 months, she had employed him to keep progress on her with warning of excruciating torture if even one person found out about it.

The doctor knew how difficult it was to hide things from Raisa so he kept this to himself.

It was for good reason too. Once a month, she would interrogate him by asking various questions and as a show of power, she'd tell him to mix in lies and whenever he did, she'd calmly point it out.

The Queen was terrifying. For his own sake, he would never reveal this information because even decades later, she'd find out.

"Do you have a name for him? He inherited your red hair and purple eyes," the doctor pointed out, gazing at the crying infant with a soft gaze.

Bronze skin, a tuft of red hair and when the baby finally opened its eyes, he saw the glowing purple eyes shining even brighter than Raisa's.

He looked up and caught Raisa's unamused gaze, before realizing what he said and bowing profusely.

"My apologies, my Queen. I did not mean to step out of line with my statement."

She glared tiredly at him and simply huffed.

"I need to do a few more checkups and then you can have him," the doctor muttered, taking the baby with a very healthy set of lungs away from the Queen.

Raisa watched them go and gazed outside of the window into the sky.

There had been no complications with the birth. Her son had been born with no complications at all but it had taken a heavy toll on her.

How aggravating. Pregnancy was one of the most frustrating things she had ever had the displeasure of feeling. Her emotions that she had painstakingly worked to get under control, had gone completely out of sorts. She had not met anyone, so as to hide the fact that she was pregnant in her later months but finally, it was over.

"Iris D. Rosan," she muttered to herself.

That was the name she had unwittingly decided on while pregnant with him. It had just randomly lingered into her mind one day and she hadn't been able to get it out of her head until she finally decided on a name.

Rosan.

He was beautiful. Hair as red as hers, eyes as purple as hers... he was so beautiful.

She hated it. Why... why did he have to be so beautiful? Why did he inherit her hair, her eyes, her skin...

Did he inherit...

"Your son is very healthy! There are no complications with him and he's finally sleeping... would you like to hold him?" The doctor asked, walking into the room once more and holding a sufficiently blanketed Rosan.

Raisa glanced over at the doctor and held open her arms, to which he promptly placed the infant in.

"...His name is Iris D. Rosan," she said eventually, gazing at the child sleeping in her arms.

He was so tiny...

Raisa let out a grunt and stood up despite the strain.

"My Queen, you shouldn't be moving so soon! You've only just given birth," he urged. "This is reckless of you!"

"Your job is finished. Remember what I said. I will check up on you once a year to ensure information on my son has never been revealed. Do not think you can get away from me," Raisa said quietly.

The doctor shuddered at that. "My Queen?"

"You're dismissed."

He shakily saluted and hesitantly left the room after glancing back at the neutral woman once more.

Raisa's face never shifted even once until the door shut.

Finally, her neutral expression fade and she stared warily at the sleeping infant.

"So... beautiful," she whispered. "You're perfect, Iris D. Rosan... I can't stand it. But, I don't think I could ever kill you myself," she admitted.

Such innocence... how could she ever live with herself if she personally snuffed him out.

But she couldn't stand to look at him because he was a reminder. Rosan was a reminder of that man.

It was easy to make her choice.

Raisa placed Rosan in a basket with his name on it (she had made it one day while daydreaming) and her eyes narrowed at the Iris part.

Without any hesitation she picked out his surname and left the D. Rosan on it.

He should at least keep his name. Rosan wouldn't know he was an Iris... but he could at least know that his name was Rosan and that he carried the D.

But he would not be staying here. Raisa was not equipped to deal with a child that filled her with just as much resentment as love.

Raisa's didn't notice her lips wobbling, as she hugged the baby close to her frame in a moment of weakness.

"I hate you," she whispered so lowly, she strained to hear herself.

The Queen desperately held her child for a long while, before finally composing herself and taking a deep breath.

She stilled her features and placed the sleeping child into his basket before grabbing it. Raisa made her way over to the window and opened it, before stepping onto the railing.

Two scaly wings burst from her arms and a long tail burst from her back, that she wrapped around her body and the basket, freeing up her arms to fly with.

Raisa departed from her island without any hesitation, flying high in the sky to evade any views from anyone.

She felt Rosan fade in and out of consciousness and ensured that he had no risk of falling.

The woman reached out and grunted tiredly, the effects of birth still dragging her down, but she pushed through and finally located a populated island.

Landing down in an area with no one there, Raisa glanced around and her slit eyes eventually rested on a hidden area that could somewhat conceal him.

She walked towards it and gently placed the basket there.

As soon as the child left her warm heat, he snapped awake and those big innocent purple eyes peered at her.

They were so bright. Even brighter than her own. They glowed in the evening sky and she felt her breath get taken away at them.

So bright. So stunning... like the sun. Raisa knew without a shadow of a doubt, her son was talented. It was his right as her child, to be a prodigy born from a prodigy.

But she hated that. Raisa couldn't stand that. Raisa hated that he was right. Why did he have to be right?

Why couldn't he have been wrong?

Raisa didn't her emotions going haywire, but something must have shown on her neutral expression because her only child's expression wavered and he immediately began breaking out into tears.

"W-WAHHHHH!" The baby began crying frantically, holding out his hands for her and beginning to cry even harder when her familiar warmth didn't come back.

The woman's brows furrowed as she saw the baby's tears begin spilling and she wanted nothing more then to reach out and reassure him.

"Maybe I'm making a mistake. Maybe I should keep him... he's so beautiful and so innocent. Surely no one would ever be able to raise my own son better than I can. Especially with how bright his eyes are glowing. I have no other family left... My brother and sister are gone... Mother and Father are dead... he's really the only connection I have left... Maybe I should raise him—"

"Kahahahaha! My ambitions and your emotions would give birth to quite a strong haki user, don't you think Raisa-chan? Not to mention your natural talent... Hopefully they end up getting alot of things from you too, I want our kid to have as easy of a life as possible."

Raisa went still and her expression immediately smoothed over as that deep laugh slammed into her.

That victorious and bloody laughter of a man she used to trust, coursed through her and Raisa abruptly stood up.

She ignored the baby's crying and took to the skies.

Before she could fly off, the woman hovered above the island and waited.

Raisa waited and waited, until she felt a presence approaching the lone baby and after some time, she felt both of them leaving the spot she abandoned him at.

Finally, the Queen departed from her spot and headed back to her island.

"Good, little Rose," she whispered quietly. "For your sake... I hope you never meet either of your parents..."

Raisa shuddered, as she felt the tears spill out against her own will but she made no move to banish it.

"I hope you never meet that awful man... that man who only wants you for your potential... I hope at the very least, you can enjoy living with someone who doesn't hate you or want to use you... Iris D. Rosan," she whispered.

Her first and only child, doomed to be a curse to her. Her heir. Her son. The next in line to rule Wisteria.

And she was abandoning him.

The queen let out a mirthless laugh and allowed her tears to continue falling, as the 19 year old flew back to Wisteria to continue repairing the wreck of an island.

"Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Perhaps I spared you from that fate, Iris D. Rosan."
