henry signalled agreement and all of a sudden, it was like a field of stars had entered his vision. Dazzled, he just gazed upon it til eventually, another blue box appeared.

A race and appearance is required as a starting point.

Henry started thinking about this. Many people would have gone with an elf like appearance, or a beautiful human appearance. However, this would not have suited his purposes. While he was sure that eventually, he would need to power up his divinity somehow, he did not want conventional worshippers or a mainstream religion. He was pretty certain that where it had gone wrong with the original gods. However the problem he had was that it wasn’t just people he wanted to interact with. So he decided to pose a question to the blue box and see if it would respond.

“Is there a race in this universe that gets on well with most of the other races? Including unconventional or unusual?” The blue box wipes for a moment, leaving the words

So Henry waited and reflected that no matter what universe he was in, loading screens were inevitable it seemed.

All races in the universe was considered and not one stood out. However, you do have the option of custom designing your race and appearance.

Henry blinked at this and began to carefully consider this. In his old life history, was memory of a book he had once read. In it was remarked that humankind would almost alway adopt a wait and see what was what approach when something unusual was spotted or seen. It was only when it became commonplace, that people just treated it contemptuously for the most part. So unqiue was definitely a way to go. However, he didn't want to be too unique as that could be a problem in and of itself too. So he imagined himself as he used to be. Changed the skin tone to a blue colour, then made himself look quite althletic. He looked at it and frowned. It was still conventional human, just a unusual colour.

'I should be thinking about the eventual path I want to take' he thought. For instance, Henry did not believe that the path he would take would involve combat, or at least not much of it. So how would be strive to survive? He wouldn't be a civilisation builder. In fact, he was hoping to spend as much time away from built up civilsation as he could. An explorer type? To a certain degree yes, however he didn't not want to leave civilsation behind altogther. He was mulling over this when all of a sudden a blue box appeared

While Henry was a bit disturbed by the implication that his innermost thoughts was laid bare to this blue box..... system? magical genie? he decided to take it as a sign that it wanted to help him, or maybe was just getting impatient with waiting. So he looked at the compiled character.

First up was a picture showing a new look. Still blue, it showed a more stockier version of him. with some additions. Instead of hair, it looked like he had feathers for hair. and instead of human ears, he had two tufted ears on top of his head. the feathered hair was like peacock feathers. He certainly looked unique and like people would take a second glance at him. He was quite entranced by it but was worried about looking too exotic. He decided to look at the box below it and maybe come back to this if needed.

Henry blinked as he read it. Some of it was simple enough, or he could guess the meaning of. Some of it was a complete mystery. He decided to try focusing on a section to see it would supply more information. Sure enough when he stared at the Race box, his mind flooded with information about his race. Demigod. Someone who was born or has ascended to the beginning level of divinity and is able to become a part of the game of the gods. For more information, either speak with your patron god or attend the demigod academy. Henry then reflected on the possible meanings of the rest of it, particularly the hidden skill, Neutral To All. He had an idea of what that skill could be. Sure enough when he focused on it, it told him that it meant he was neutral to all races in the universe, which would at least afford him the chance to strike a conversation and see where it would go from there. He then addressed the blue box from within his mind 'I thank you for your help, and this looks like what I was needing. However, two things. Regarding the 4 skills to be chosen, can I leave these for now until I can make an informed choice? two, I would like to change my name please.'

Question 1 answer : This will be permitted, due to the nature in which you have become a demigod. Normally this would be required when demigod status was acquired. When ready to choose a skill, simply open your status page and think 'choose skill'. A list will be provided and so long skill is on page, it can be selected.

Question two answer : State your new name. Upon doing so, you will be spawned at the academy and met by your guide.

Henry looked at it. When he was young, he had played computer games. One of the first game he had ever played had been an exploration and choices game. He had kept the name he had given the character as a mainstream gamer nametag for the rest of his. It had seemed appropriate to resurrect it now.

"Tinkerson"

The world suddenly whitened, and Tinkerson suddenly found himself standing in an circular depression, with somebody standing just outside the circle. He breathed in, smelling fresh air, felt a breeze upon his skin and spoke "Hello." Here he was, reborn again and able to exist in a phyiscal form again. He wondered why he was so calm. Then his attention was captured by hearing the person speaking back to him.

"Hello new student. I must say this is intriguing. The Universe God sent us a message telling us a student was coming to us via outside means. That he would know nothing and would require extensive lessons. In an academy where almost all of the staff are knowledge gods, this caused some consternation I tell you." Tinkerson blinked at this. and said

"I'm sorry for the trouble?"

"Nonsense, it will do some of those minor knowledge gods good, to know that they are not infalliable. It is often that feeling of knowing all that will be the downfall of a knowledge god. In a way, you have done a service to us." Tinkerson was at a loss, not sure how to respond to this. The person in front of him seemed to an affable older man in his sixties, dressed not unlike a tibetan monk. He smiled back at Tinkerson and then said, "Come, I shall escort you to a classroom for orientation. I should warn you this will be lengthy, lasting days. Before you think, what about sleep or food?! You are a demigod now. Some things will have drastically changed. Yes, you need to eat and sleep sometimes, but the need to do so will be measured in longer units of time then is what normally concerned by these activites. However this will be part of orientation. If you have any urgent questions, please ask now, but most likely you will learn the answers to them in the orientation. Welcome to the Rules Academy. Follow me." so saying he spun around and started walking towards the door way. Tinkerson followed closely behind. Wondering how much his life has changed but looking forward to seeing what the future had to bring, the sights he would see and the wonders he would beheld.
