Volume 0: Chapter 6- I Will Change It!

“Her destiny is to die here, Nur. Her fate has already has been sealed. You can’t just do something this irresponsible… it goes against all the…”

“I don’t care about those rules. I will do what I will do. That is all there is to it.” Nur was not backing down. No matter what she said to him it seemed to not make him reconsider. He was a stubborn fool.

“Her fate is to die in this room this morning! Her route ends here! She will…”

“Then, I WILL CHANGE IT!” Nur said the last part with a furious shout. He said it loud enough that the person on his back clearly heard his voice. She remembered his voice forever in her heart. “If her death can be prevented, why shouldn’t I do something? Don’t tell me you will stop me?”

Desolai looked down on the floor. “It’s true, I can’t stop you. But still you must understand you are going against the cycle of fate…”

“If fate gives me a bad offer, I would rather make an offer of my own.” Nur said. He carried Asul Jem on his back. He walked through the corridors.

None of the occupants could see either him or the person he was carrying. Some occasionally even passed through him.

He kept walking and eventually found an exit. He walked on further away from the dark building.

He kept walking for miles without stopping. Nur didn’t seem to tire, almost as if his feet wouldn’t stop walking.

Eventually he reached a place bordering a city. There was a great spot with a tree overlooking the gate to the city. There he laid Asul Jem down.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

With blood covered, ragged clothing she would look suspicious, so Nur covered her body with his cloak so that she would have something to wear once she wakes up. While he was carrying her he did notice her soft chest area, but he just didn’t care.

Then he examined her pulse. It was normal. She was still breathing.

Unbeknownst to him, Asul Jem was watching him with half opened eyes, but her weakened body could barely move. ‘He saved me from that place, just who is he?’ Once he took off his cloak, she caught a good glimpse of his face, and even closer look when he was checking her pulse. She memorized his face within her mind. She now knew her savior’s face and she swore to never forget it. Then when he started walking away, he suddenly disappeared from her sight

“This is good. From here she can chose for herself what happens to her next.” Nur said after leaving Asul Jem under a tree.

“You insisted upon taking her with you for this reason?” unexpectedly, Desolai was nearby.

“Of course. By the way, you were following me?” Nur asked.

“Obviously. Master has to keep track of her servant even if the servant is doing something outrageous.” Desolai replied. Her human face showed her pouting at Nur with slightly angry expression.

Nur chose to just ignore her anger much to Desolai’s annoyance.

Once they were walking away, Desolai said “You do realize you did something unacceptable, right?”

“Unacceptable or not, I just couldn’t accept to leave it as it was. So it’s no use talking of it now. It’s all in the past now.” Nur said while smiling mischievously.

“If you intend to be my servant, then I will have to ask you to follow rules…”

“If the rule is right I will follow it, if the rule is wrong I will not.”

“I see. Then, just try to follow my orders, ok?” In truth, Desolai didn’t want to dismiss him from his position because she wanted to observe him more. Someone not bound by fate is extreme rarity. Having someone who she can’t completely see through intrigued her. Just by going with her to this assignment, he has shown exactly why he is interference. She just wanted to witness for herself how fateless one would affect the things he interacts with.

“Fine. I understand.” Nur begrudgingly said.

“That is good.”

Both of them walked through the shadow gate created by Desolai, back to her Shinigami realm.
