Chapter 5

After having to flee from her own men and base. Coldfusion was hopelessly confused what to do next to achieve her goal of ending global warming. Wondering down the mountainside as she had to flee her army of henchmen. An idea sparked that could not fail.

Since she was in Pyromelter’s body. Coldfusion decided since he was a hero. She could start fresh and get new recourses. The one thing she had been needing was the huge chunk icy-blue obsidian. The day the experiment went wrong.

The icy-blue obsidian had been fortified around the old Obsidian Energy Labs Facility for further study of its properties. After the accident and fight at the research facility. The property was quickly taken over by the SVCA for intervention. The property was seized to prevent other villains from taking the huge chunk of icy-blue obsidian for their own use.

Coldfusion began her way to the SVCA research facility to get a chunk of icy-blue obsidian to create a new frozen reactor. This time she could get her way without any suspicions. Another thing she was going to need was a new hideout to use for advantage. Without any henchmen it was going to be almost impossible to take over the SVCA research facility. She just needed to start small before she could get to serious about getting help. She was going to have to do a lot of research to figure out how to pull this off.

She arrived at the SVCA research facility. Getting clearance into the facility was easier than she expected. Trying to smuggle out icy-blue obsidian was a whole different game plan.

The head of the research facility Dr. Charles welcomed Pyromelter. Dr. Charles asked what the visit was about. Coldfusion replied that she was trying to get better insight on how icy-blue obsidian worked. She made up a lie stating she was wanted to learn how to counter Coldfusion’s ice weapons.

She was given a tour of the facility. She asked if she could see the main control room of the building. She asked if she could see how the icy-blue obsidian worked in the environment it was being used in. Coldfusion was taken to the main control room to get a better view. She knew this was her one shot but was unsure what to do. As they passed through security checkpoints, she noticed the same power connection used for controlling the icy-blue obsidian’s power.

As they began to approach near the power supply. Coldfusion needed to come up with a plan fast to put out the power. Before she came to the facility, she played with Pyromelter’s tools and found a few useful in this situation. She first waited for the moment the security camera would move out of sight of the power supply. Coldfusion pretended that she had to tie her shoe. As she was pretending to be done. Coldfusion activated Pyromelter’s electronic device jammer.

Suddenly, all the lights and power went out. She turned on his night vision goggles. Then, she quickly grabbed a maintenance worker’s plyers and threw them with precise precision. The result looked like the maintenance worker was at fault. With all the chaos and confusion in the dark. She ran up to the icy-blue obsidian. Coldfusion used a screwdriver and hammer that she had from the same maintenance worker. She began to chisel away at the icy-blue obsidian.

She broke two huge chunks off one that was easy to be seen in plain view. The other was in a corner that was hard to see. That chuck she cut carefully but fast. She made it cut so it looked like it had never been chiseled out. She had managed to finish the job quick and fast. She left clues along the way to frame the maintenance worker.

As she made her way back. She grabbed some night vision goggles. She then threw the hammer, screwdriver, goggles, and icy-blue obsidian all into the maintenance workers open toolbox, as he was desperately trying to restore power. She hid the piece she had into Pyromelter’s utility belt.

The power finally came back on, but some stuff was still not working including the security cameras. Everyone gasped who was near the worker. “What”, said the worker. He was quickly arrested and taken away. He began to shout and yell. “It wasn’t my fault someone else in here did it”. He yelled. “Then why was the icy-blue obsidian in your toolbox.” The security guard said.

Cold Fusion left the facility with a villainous smirk. She had just pulled off one of her best heists. She left the facility in a hurry. Dr. Charles was asking what was with the rush. Cold Fusion replied, “My scanner is detecting criminal activity and I need to go right away. Sorry I couldn’t stay longer, but things need to get done.”

Cold Fusion paced out of the old research facility. She had her main peace of the puzzle but now needed to get a new place to setup her new cold fusion reactor. She set off to Pyromelter’s base. She was going to need to get resources and prepare for a new attempt.
