CHAPTER 2

After being questioned by the SVCA, Coldfusion (now in Pyromelter’s mind) left in confusion back to her evil lair “The Frozen Reactor”. Coldfusion needed to figure out why she was in Pyromelter’s body. Coldfusion was so caught up with her thoughts she had forgotten about the alarms placed around “The frozen Reactor”.

As Coldfusion took her first step onto the property, alarms began to blare, and traps began to go off one by one. Coldfusion thought “Just great my own traps going off on me”. She only managed to get five yards across “The Frozen Reactor”. As she began to close in on her evil lair, Coldfusion’s henchmen appeared angry and fuming.

Coldfusion began to speak to her henchmen, but instead of her voice it came out as Pyromelter’s voice in a calm tone, saying “This is going to be hard to believe but somehow I have changed merged into Pyromelter’s body and he is in my body”, said Coldfusion. They began to approach her with their weapons drawn.

She called out for her number one henchman. “Freezerburn”, she yelled. Freezerburn stepped up and started to mock Pyromelter, “You think we would believe that? The day I believe that is when the Earth turns into a snowball”, said Freezerburn. The other henchmen began to laugh. Coldfusion kept on trying to persuade her henchmen with no avail. It got to the point where Coldfusion had no idea what to do to persuade them.

Freezerburn had enough. He gave the order to fire. They began to blast ice bolts at Coldfusion. Some of the henchmen were aiming terribly. Coldfusion watched in disbelief that her henchmen were so poorly trained. Just what the heck have you been training them Freezerburn with.

Most of her henchmen were excons who liked to commit evil acts. Others were thugs trying to make a name for themselves up the villain hierarchy. She sighed as she hid behind a pillar and drew out Pyromelter’s heat smelter. The weapon turned other weapons into smelted iron bars. The henchman dropped their weapons or still fired pitifully at her. She eventually had enough space to make a break for it. Coldfusion thought “Can this day get any weirder or worse” as she ran away into the surrounding snowy mountains and forests. With the threat gone Freezerburn had everyone back into the base.

A few hours had passed in “The Frozen Reactor”. Freezerburn was able to get intel of where Coldfusion was being held. He shouted orders and commands to break out Coldfusion out of the SVCA headquarters. “Get more of the ice bolt gun from the weaponry”, said Freezerburn. “Make sure the freeze cannons are at absolute zero”, Freezerburn kept barking order after order. The henchmen were working furiously. Most of Coldfusion’s henchmen were hired by Freezerburn.

She only had around thirty henchmen but that was all she could afford. Most of the equipment was in half or not working at all. They through together whatever they could finish or complete. They weren’t very well equipped. Luckily, Freezerburn knew how to improvise and strategize.

Freezerburn was getting impatient. He just sighed with frustration as he had everyone mobilize even at half capacity. The henchmen loaded into a convoy of armored vans as they set out to rescue Coldfusion.

Coldfusion’s army began their advancement towards the SVCA headquarters. As they approached the city, an off duty SVCA agent noticed the convoy driving towards the eastern side of the city. They were heading towards the SVCA headquarters. He immediately phoned the SVCA from where he was standing. Freezerburn noticed the man and froze him on the spot. The man was entombed in ice holding his phone to make the call. Freezerburn gave the orders to activate the cloaking shields and stealth radars. “We are almost within range of them detecting us.” He radioed over the convoy. They drove around the eastern border of Obsidiandite. Heading towards the SVCA regional headquarters
