Meeting With Amanda!

The crimson rays of the moon shun upon the surface of the world, an eerie strange warmth enclosing its inhabitants.

Particularly two figures who were seated within a car. The two figures with snow white and misty grey hair where none other than Xavier and Klaus respectively.

It had been over forty five minutes since they had left the siblings and Seraph behind, though not before telling them not to reveal the subsequent details leading to their sudden dissapearances.

When asked, they should simply give this reply: We were attacked by a bear and lost consciousness.

We woke up a few days later and walked back home.

Although it might be hard to believe.

But knowing how humans are. The first thoughts on their minds would be the joy and primal emotive feelings of finding their loved ones.

The corresponding details surrounding their dissapearances wouldn't have much importance attached to it.

Which's to say humans tend to let their emotions get the best of them.

The two brothers sat down in the car with groggy eyes, and they seemed to be barely holding on.

The course of event over the past few hours had been strenous and unsettling to say the least, with the constant threat of death at every point in time making matters even worse.

Klaus stepped on the pedal and then, the car bursted into a frenzied speed.

But this time around, there was no classical rock music to fuel his adrenaline.

His adrenaline had reached rock bottom as of right now and he doubted any music would be able to rekindle that or invigorate him.

Right now, he was just barely holding on.

He hadn't eaten for close to a day!!

That was definitely a record!

If he said he wasn't tired, then that would just be lies to deceive his mind and tummy.

Fuck that. Tired? He wasn't tired, he was beyond tired.

Yet as a hunter, he just had to keep going.

He had to keep pushing himself beyond his limits in order to ensure the absolute safety of the society as a whole.

And perhaps, this teaching that had been ingrained and etched into the deepest parts of his mind and soul since his childhood days were perhaps more than enough to keep him going.

His hands were placed on the steering wheel whilst his legs tapped against the pedal occasionally, each time he stepped on the pedal. The car would burst forth with greater speed.

Xavier simply watched the various houses, cars and malls rapidly vanish away from his line of sight whilst the car continued to race forward with even greater speed.

His eyes were slightly groggy with his eyelashes fluttering every once in a whilst.

And although he was also tired, but before they could have any moment of respite for themselves. They still had one more mission to accomplish: sneak into the hospital and speak with Amanda.

He couldn't just help but have this weird premonition that something was brewing within the darkness.

...Something big and terrifying.

From the demons targeting him, to the revelation hinting at it being the orders of a higher demon, to the death of Amanda's mum and Amanda's severe injuries, and lastly, the discovery of the altar within the Berserker Wendigo's hidden lair.

To others, this might seem like mere coincidences. But as a keyboard warrior, when too much coincidences occur.

It simply means that a natural law of the world is reacting to something and simply trying to balance it.

Which in turn would bring forth much more calamities.

Now what he didn't know is what the factor of said reaction chain is for this world.

And not only that...

He also just couldn't shake off t-his ominous sense of dread that something terrifying is coming!

And the sealed memories which caused the death of the previous Xavier further added to all this mystery and mind wrenching thoughts and analysis which one would so easily grow tired of.

Sigh!

He could only sigh in exasperation as he came to the conclusion to take things one step at a time.

He knew that trying to think about everything all at once would just be plain stupidity.

Hence he had to focus on the tasks at hand and take care of them each, one step at a time.

Klaus glanced at Xavier, realizing that his brother was lost in deep thought.

"Your holiness doesn't think I have some sort of prophetic powers, do you?"

Klaus chuckled lightly before he added, "If not, then can your holiness please tell me the street that we're headed for."

Xavier simply rolled his eyes at his brother's remarks.

"Desolate Avenue.

It's painted in yellow and it's a two story building.

"That should be more than enough, right?"

Xavier questioned with a raised brow.

Klaus nodded, his feet pressed against the pedal before the car bursted forth with greater speed.

A few later, they finally arrived before a yellow building, with two storey building, namely: Desolate County Hospital.

The car was driven into a corner by Klaus, before both brothers alighted from the car.

Xavier slowly jugged towards the right hand side of the building, immediately followed by Klaus. Arriving before a white lustrous window, which stood a few feets' above them.

Xavier gave a sharp exhalation, before he proceeded to climbing, making use of the long rectangular surfaces at certain parts of the building to climb further.

'What a smart kiddo.' Klaus praised inwardly, before he also began with his ascent. Within the blink of an eye, both brothers appeared before the window.

A female doctor with long black hair was assessing her patient with crimson pair of pupils.

It was none other than Amanda who seemed to be fast asleep.

A loud

KA!! sound resounded into the doctor's ear. Succeeding in disturbing Amanda, and garnering the doctor's attention.

'Crap!!'

Klaus yelled inwardly, immediately shifting to the left-hand side, the same could be said for his brother who shifted to the right-hand side, while standing on the rectangular platform.

The look on Xavier's face was almost as though he just couldn't wait to eat Klaus alive.

When he approached the window, he had seen the doctor from the slightly unveiled part of the cotton that veiled the door, but the stupid elder brother of his just had to try to barge in before conducting any investigation or probing.

Klaus forced a smile before scratching his head in an eerie-funny manner.

The doctor had a raised brow.

She walked forward, each step she took brought her closer to the brothers who were currently panting heavily, their hearts thumped and pumped violently as they couldn't help but let their minds run amok in thoughts of a ridiculous explanation.

STEEP!!

STEEP!!!

The dreadful, ominous feeling slowly heightened, each step weaving a tensed aura into the atmosphere.

She was just a few feet away from them, and they were about to come up with the most ridiculous explanation when a lady suddenly entered the room.

"Doctor Hayley."

She called out, her hands holding onto a document, probably a file of another patient.

Doctor Hayely turned back, a light smile slowly settled on her face before she walked towards Nurse Anita.

Both brothers immediately heaved a sigh of relief.

A few seconds easily passed by, before Doctor Hayley, luckily for the bothers, was dragged out of the room by Nurse Anita, to attend to another patient.

"I am sure a day will come when you will still get me killed,"

That was the first thing that escaped Xavier's lips, eliciting a wry smile from Klaus.

Both brothers finally made it into the room.

Klaus walked towards the door, before locking it. After he was done locking it, he finally walked back to Xavier.

"You know. We could have simply made use of our fake badges. That would have definitely made things, a lot easier."

Xavier shifted his attention away from Amanda, before fixating his gaze on Klaus.

"With the severity of this case to such a small town.

"Such an incident would definitely propel the cops and the sheriff to place a higher level of attention on this case.

"And yes, we might be able to fool them. But do you really think it's worth it?

"When we can just make use of this simpler method."

"Hmm,"

Klaus eyes slowly got narrowed.

"Makes sense." He further added while nodding his head.

"Yeah it does."

Xavier's lustrous Azure pupils slowly shifted towards the sleeping beauty.

"Amanda." He whispered.

A few seconds passed by, before a crimson pupil abruptly flared to life. Her vision at first were blurry, but they soon started to piece together like a puzzle. The memories slowly slammed onto her, causing crystal-like teardrops to stream down the corner of her eyes.

Her hands slowly covered her eyes as tears flowed out uncontrollably.

She felt as though a hole had been dug into her heart.

It hurts...it truly hurts way more than anything.

"Mom...am sorry...am sorry,"

She whispered in pain, over and over again, unaware of the presence of the strangers.

Klaus and Xavier didn't disturb her, they knew they had to give her some time to slowly recover and accept the grim reality.

Especially Xavier who felt a strange digging deeper into his heart upon seeing her in such a state.

A few minutes later.

Her hands got removed from her eyes before her gaze slowly moved upwards. She caught a glimpse of the two strangely, eerie familiar figures.

A terrifying fear and dread suddenly gripped her!

"Who are you guys, what do you want?"

She stuttered almost subconsciously.

...Before the last pieces of memory slowly slammed onto her.

She tightly held onto her head, trying hard to handle the large influx of memories. After what felt like an eternity, her eyes soon flared to life with a powerful glow and an abnormal clarity.

"Y-you where the one who saved me." She said, while pointing at Xavier.

Xavier nodded in affirmation, yet he could still see the slight hint of fear within the depth of her eyes.

"You don't have to be scared of us Amanda, we are here to help."

Xavier comforted, a light smile curled up his lips before he further added.

"But to do that, we need to know how it all happened."

Selina's eyelashes fluttered, her eyes blinked continously as she struggled to speak:

"It-it...
