Bull Red City’s Market: Minutes before Bull Ye’s and Evlee Lum’s Death Battle

Evlee Xia and a young boy of similar facial feathers walked down the street. As Evlee Xia shops, the boy looks at her with a worried expression. And though the kid quietly looks away, Evlee Xia had already noticed the worry on his face. 

“Young Brother, what are you worried about?” Evlee Xia asks the young boy. 

“Sister I’ve heard rumors about what happened in the city between you and that dirty Evlee Lum. Are they true? If they are, then I’ll take care of him!” Evlee Xia’s brother say in a determent tone. 

“Young Brother, I won’t lie. Evlee Lum did try to use his power to force his self on me, but someone stopped him. Right now I’m ok, but I didn’t expect Evlee Lum to be so bold and do what he did in public, so in the future, I’ll be more careful. But brother, you must not confront Evlee Lum. You aren’t strong enough, so going after Evlee Lum is suicide. Who knows what else he'll dare to do. Furthermore, there aren’t many in the family who support us, so even if you were stronger then Evlee Lum, it would still be unwise to fight him.” Evlee Xia says while staring at her brother. 

“But Sis…” Evlee Xia’s brother tries to say before he’s interrupted. 

“No buts! You can’t go after Evlee Lum! I can’t lose you Fiz! I can’t lose you too.” Evlee Xia says with a raised voice which dies down toward the end. 

Evlee Fiz went silent after that. Evlee Xia was right, so he wasn’t sure of what to say. Besides, he was in shock. Evlee Xia rarely raises her voice at him, so just now when she did, Evlee Fiz had frozen. Evlee Xia may be cold to others, but to her close family she would show her warm side, and those who are friendly not in their words but in their actions would also see it more and more over time. 

After a few moments, all Evlee Fiz could do was lower his head. Hearing his sister yell always kills his will to argue. Not because he’s sad, but because the words she yells always hit him hard. Her words are never filled with just anger, or rage, but also sadness, love, a warmed that only his sister can give, and many other complex emotions. On the rare occasion his sister yells at him, he can pick up on many of those emotions, which drains his will to fight back. 

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to yell.” Evlee Xia says in a gentle voice. “But you must promise me that you will never go looking for a fight with Evlee Lum.” 

“I promise.” Evlee Fiz says in a low voice, with his head still hanging down. 

“Hey, your Evlee Xia right.” A voice comes in from the side. 

Turning to the voice, Evlee Xia stares at the person before her. “Yes. You’re the one from the other day. Your name was…” After saying that her face goes red from embarrassment. “I’m so sorry! You saved me, but I’ve been so rude. I run away; I didn’t introduce myself the other day, and what’s worse is that I don’t know your name. If you didn’t show up, I might never have been able to repay you. Please forgive me!” Evlee Xia hastily said. She’s a prideful person and pays her dues, so she felt ashamed of the way she has acted to the person who saved her. How can she keep her pride if she were to be rude to a person who went out of their way to help her? 

“My names Jen Fin. But there’s no need to apologize. You had problems you need to take care of, so it’s ok.” Jen says, as his eyes unconsciously glance downwards. 

Noticing his eyes, Evlee Xia’s face flashes red again. “Di… Did you need something?” Evlee Xia says, trying to change the subject. 

“Yea, someone by the name of Evlee Mil wanted me to tell you that he’s at the Bull Family Mansion, and you should hurry over there.” Jen says. 

“What? What’s happening over there? And why did he ask you to tell me?” Evlee Xia asks a little suspiciously. 

“He was looking for me because of the incident between Evlee Lum and me. He told me that he was sent to kill me, and he would have done it if other matters didn’t come up. So he instead told me to get far away from the city, after I found and told you to get to the Bull Family’s Mansion as soon a possibly.” Jen says. 

“I see, so you don’t know the reason why?” Evlee Xia ask. 

“No. He left after saying that, and his tone was more demanding than asking, so I didn’t have room to ask.” Jen says. 

“I’m sorry for the trouble. Elder Mil isn’t a bad person. If you got to know him in different circumstances, then you’ll see. But Elder Mil cares little for anyone outside the family, so even if the family is wrong, it’s still easy for him to be cruel to outsiders, even if he doesn’t want to. Even if I were to tell Elder Mil what Evlee Lum was trying to do to me, he might still come after you. And besides, I want to avoid telling him, because he would surely cause trouble for Evlee Lum, and may even attempt to kill him. If he did any of that to Evlee Lum, then his life would surely be shortened by the family in any way possible. So he’s right, you should leave, and you shouldn’t come back.” Evlee Xia said a little saddened by the fact that she is telling the person who saved her to leave the city, and never come back. 

“Don’t worry; I already decided to leave.” Jen says after a slight hesitation. 

Evlee Xia was a little confused by Jen’s hesitation, but she didn’t have much time to think about it. “I’ll be leaving then.” 

“Sure, I should also be starting to leave.” Jen says, and after the two parted ways Evlee Xia and her brother started running toward the Bull Family Mansion.

Bull Family’s Mansion: When the Uninvited Guest arrived 

“Elder Mil, what are you doing here? Did you complete your mission?” One of the elders asked. 

“Worry about that later! Elder Mil your right, this is a shame! We came here for our meeting, but the Bull family turns us away, tricks my son into a death battle, and then uses a trick to kill my son. Now, instead of allowing me to take justice for my son, they wish to start a war! I will not let this evil stand! We will wipe out the Bull family, and now that Elder Mil is here, it’ll be easier to escape.” Evlee Kell says as the fight continues.

Even though the main strength of the Evlee Family was here, they were still in the Bull Family’s territory. Right now the Bull Family had more guards and family members with them. The guards and other members of the Bull Family may not be of much help, but even a little help in a battle between two forces of equal strength could turn the tide of battle. 

This was a battle of life and death. A single distraction or luckily hit could mean someone’s death. Evlee Kell wouldn’t take even a slight disadvantage if he didn’t have to. If they could retreat, then after making it back to the Evlee Family Mansion this disadvantage would go away. At that time, Evlee Kell and the elders could go all out while having others watching their backs. 

But after Evlee Kell finished speaking the head of an elder exploded and blood shoot everywhere. At that moment, everyone stopped fighting from the shock of what had just happened. Evlee Mil had moved towards one of the Evlee elders and had hit the elder in the head with his fist, causing it to burst. This wasn’t the power of someone of the same strength or even someone a little stronger. This was the power of someone many times stronger than the person it was used on. And the elder that was just kill was of the fourth star foundation realm, for Evlee Mil to kill him like that, he would have to be at least of the six star Foundation realm. 

“You seem to have misunderstood what I meant. It’s a shame that I wasn’t able to kill Lum myself.” Evlee Mil said with an icy smile. 

Before Evlee Kell was able to say anything, Evlee Mil moved to each of the Evlee elders and killed them one after the other. Some of them were able to put up a brief fight but were soon killed. 

Seeing this scene everyone was shocked. Has Evlee Mil gone crazy? 

“ELDER MIL, WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!?” Evlee Kell shouted at the top of his lungs. 

“Is it not obvious? I’m killing the corrupted fools of the Evlee Family.” Evlee Mil calmly said. 

“Corrupt!? You killed the elders of the Evlee Family! If anyone’s corrupt, it’s you!” Evlee Kell yells out. 

“Hmph, did you think that we didn’t know what you did to your brother? The evidence was right in front of us! But against my wishes, the other elders decided to conceal it, and not to do anything to you. They said that killing you would have weakened us too much. That we would be wiped out if you were gone. And you know what? I didn’t accept their decided because I was outnumbered. I may have wanted to believe that, and I did for a while, but the truth is I agreed with them because I thought they were right. I didn’t want to see the end of our family. I wanted to survive! And to do that I had to turn my back on my closest friend, and allow his murderer to go free! But I won’t anymore. After I had found out what Lum was trying to do to Evlee Xia, I knew that she and Evlee Fiz would never know peace within the Evlee Family. So, for the elders who hid your deed, I gave then a quick death, but for you who commented the deed, I will make sure you suffer. I may have turned my back on Evlee El, but at this moment, I will make up for it by protecting his children.” Evlee Mil says in a heighten, but stern tone as he starts to move closer to Evlee Kell. 

“Die!” Evlee Kell says as he runs towards Evlee Mil. 

When the two collided. Evlee Mil blocked all of Evlee Kell’s attacks. Whether it was high or low not a single attack could get through. 

At that moment, Evlee Kell’s face went pale. “You… You’re not at the Foundation realm! You’re at the Evolution realm!” Evlee Kell shouted. 

And like that, everyone was again shocked. How could he have reached the Evolution stage without anyone knowing that he was at least close? The number of people past the third star of the Foundation realm is how families in Bull Red City determent their power. If they hid a Foundation cultivator, then they were hiding their family’s strength. All the Elders of the Evlee family were at the fourth or fifth star, so did Evlee Mil hid his advancement at reaching the peak of the Foundation realm from the family or did the family hid it from everyone else. And then there was the fact that Evlee Mil had reached the Evolution realm. This news would completely change Bull Red City. There would no longer be two major families but instead just one. Evlee Mil’s status in his family would be higher than Evlee El’s ever was. He could change the family however he wanted, so then what was this situation!? Why did he kill everyone, when he could just control them with his power; it just didn’t make any sense.

“But why? With your power, you could have anything you wanted. So why did you destroy our family!?” Evlee Kell angrily asked. He just couldn’t understand Evlee Mil’s actions. 

“You want to know why. Well, it’s very simple.” Evlee Mil said, while at that moment leaning in closer to Evlee Kell and whispering in his ear. “Because I’m already dead, so I won’t be around for much longer. What authority does a dead man have? None right? If I don’t kill you now then today when my second chance comes to an end, what would keep you from Evlee Xia and Evlee Fiz? Hmph, It's funny. Your death was caused by sending me to take care of that boy. You see it was him who gave me this power and second chance." 

After hearing this a chill covered Evlee Kell’s entire body, causing him to feel numb. Evlee Mil is dead; this is his second chance. Evlee Kell couldn’t understand what he meant. 

No! 

He didn’t want to understand what he meant. Right now all Evlee Kell wanted was to get out of here, too turn around and beg the Bull family for help. He didn’t care about his reputation anymore, not in front of absolute power. All he cared for, all he wanted was to be spared! But he couldn’t move; his body was frozen in place. He was now in fears grip, and it wasn’t letting go. The fear of the man in front of him; the fear of the expert behind him who had life and death under his power. It was just too much for him. All he could feel was despair and hopelessness. To him, it wasn’t Evlee Mil before of him, but instead the Grim Reaper. 

No one knew what was going on. Early Evlee Kell’s face may have been pale before, but now someone could mistake him as a corpse. What did Evlee Mil whisper to him? 

“Kell, what’s wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Evlee Mil mockingly says, with a smile on his face.
