The white guards made Fuyo cringe.
Their fighting ability was terrible. They didn't seem like an army but more like a hastily thrown together high school basketball team.
Fuyo couldn't understand why they were so useless? They could fly and they have twice as many arms as humans. With such an advantage you would expect a fight scene straight out of a martial arts movie but that's not what he got.
Even the red bees disappointed him.
The only reason the red bees were winning was thanks to their biological advantage. Their long barbed tails were a potent weapon and it was easy to attack from a blind spot with them. But they weren't using any type of strategy, they just attacked viciously. If they used a few army tactics then they could have ended this war long ago but Fuyo was forced to watch on for 3 long days.
At night the armies would retreat and recover from their wounds, in the day time they would resume fighting. In the end, only 10,000 red and 32,000 white bees had fallen. If things went on like this then the battle wouldn't end for another year.
He didn't know why but he couldn't escape this flashback no matter how hard he tried. If he had really been inside his thoughts for 3 days then he would have bled to death. He concluded that not much time had passed in the outside world because he was still alive and breathing.
But the boredom he faced over these last 3 days was unbearable, he wanted out, he had enough.
It seems he wasn't the only bored one because the magic wielding red bee finally made his move. He drew a magic circle on the ground using his own blood, the various lines and etchings made the shape of a double hexagram. At each point there was another small circle; in those circles he placed tiger-eye spirit stones.
The blood turned into red light and shun like a crimson sun. The red light condensed and then shot up into the sky splitting apart the clouds. The light dimmed and disappeared, and the circle started to swirl inwards like a whirlpool as it gathered momentum.
"Summoning Jutsu!" the red bee yelled as he slammed his hand onto the seal.
The symbols vanished and burst into a cloud of white smoke that spread across the entire battlefield. The fog wouldn't affect the battle by much because bees can see electric charges allowing them to pinpoint other bees in close proximity.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Fuyo thought the fog would be a perfect way of hiding your army's movements and formations. Of course these bees didn't think of that. They lacked the charisma and wits a real army would have.
"Hueeerrrrrrr" a loud roar echoed out across the battlefield. The roar was so powerful that it dispersed half the smoke in the area.
"Wh..wh..what was that?." Muttered a guard who seemingly lost his wits.
"Yuwaku got sick of waiting. He summoned him already, dammit!" One of the red bees yelled. He also had a tinge of panic across his face. Instead of continuing the fight, he flew high into the sky apparently running away from whatever made that loud roar.
"Hueeerrrrrrr" That same loud sound echoed out once more. This time the roar pushed away the heavenly mist revealing the figure that made that ghastly sound.
Its footsteps made the ground shake. It walked forwards neither fast nor slow. Its overbearing aura made it hard for them to breathe. The creature had a hard shelled back that glimmered with a black sheen. Its six powerful legs were like barbed tree trunks, each step left a vivid footprint in the hard dirt.
In the middle of its head was a giant protrusion. Fuyo had actually seen this creature before. It was a giant Rhinoceros Beetle!
It towered over the bees; it was at least 100 times their size! But that wasn't the most shocking part about it. The front horn was long, powerful and straight but at the tip it split in two different directions creating three crescent shapes. In the middle of each crescent was a floating energy ball. One was a flame, the other was earth and in the middle was lava, a combination of the two!
The beetle lifted its head to the sky, opened up its jaws and...
"Hueeerrrrrrr"
This time the roar was many times more powerful and seemed to carry its fighting intent. All the bees in the surrounding 100 meters were restrained by the pressure and lost the power to resist. They fell to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.
The spiritual pressure emitted from the beetle spread through the battle field, red and white bees alike were forced down onto the ground in subservience. They couldn't resist, they could only lie there painstakingly bearing the brute force of that unrestrained spiritual power.
The bees outside of the pressure zone continued to fight viciously.
The beetle marched forward and picked up a nearby red bee.
Chomp!
One bite and it ripped the red bee into pieces. It then moved onto another, and then another, red and white bees alike. No one was safe!
It devoured them as easy as chewing candy. Their screams rang out as they were eaten alive. "No, Sai! Please spare me!", "Sai, the enemy are the white bees not us. Urgh!"
It was useless; nothing could stop this killing machine.
Things were looking grim, even Yuwaku who summoned the beast was visibly afraid.
Bringing this beast into battle was akin to bringing a double barrel shotgun to a knife fight, except one of the barrels faced your enemy and the other one faced you.
If you pulled the trigger you would hurt yourself too.
