Fuyo instructed the 30 or so kids to spread out and gather up sticks, dried leaves, grass and dry bark. He then instructed them to find big logs that would burn well. They set out and did as they were ordered. Over the next 2 hours more and more children arrived and helped out.
Tuzai did most of the hard work because she was the strongest there; she took 6 strength revitalization potions and 6 qi replenishing pills over the next few hours. They only had 4 of each left but Fuyo didn't mind. It was better this way; this would benefit them for many days to come.
Tuzai laid the big stone plates that she cut out and formed them into giant square grills. She did this 5 times in total, creating 5 massive cooking plates. Underneath the plates were piles of sticks, dried leaves, grass and bark.
The other kids chatted a lot amongst each other. "Is it true? The food is really that good!"
"It's truer than true; the food is the best thing you could ever imagine."
"Tuzai-chan, is there any salt or oil we can buy?"
"We can buy some oil, it's not too expensive but salt? As in the stuff they use to keep ghost out of the village?"
"Yeah, salt...Wait, what? Ghost?" This was the first time Fuyo ever heard of ghost before.
"Ghost are the souls of the dead, because there was a big war here a lot of ghost wander the outskirts of the village. Most of them are quite peaceful but the villagers get crept out by them so they surrounded the village in salt to keep them out. Ghost can't cross over a line of salt."
"Ghost exists? I shouldn't be surprised but I guess it's the same salt. Are we able to get some?"
"It's a very common commodity; a bag of salt is one 10 silver, 20L of oil is 10 silver."
"We'll need 100L of oil to cook all this meat, oil cooks it faster and increases the flavor. We only need one bag of salt. How much money is in the bags of holding? We still have 11 Gold left from the spirit stones so it should add to quite a bit."
"I haven't checked, there was a lot of items in there so I never bothered counting them up. I'll check now." Her spirit sense spread out and entered the first bag.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
"I'll give a quick estimate, it's hard to get an exact number because there is so many items in here. From what I can see, there is 600 gold, 12 white spirit stones, 16 yellow spirit stones, 30 tiger-eye spirit stones and..."
"And?"
Gulp
"670 morganite spirit stones..."
"Oh, 600 gold is good. What are tiger-eye spirit stones and morganite spirit stones? Are they worth a lot."
"Are they worth a lot? They are worth a huge amount! The tiger-eye spirit stones are worth 1 gold each but the morganite spirit stones are 10 gold each! 670 is 6700 gold."
She quickly checked the other bag, Fuyos jaw was close to dragging across the ground. "How can those two guards be so rich? Did we really offend some super power. Damnit!"
Fuyo was a bit concerned, but they truly believed he was a prince. As long as his secret was never found out it wouldn't matter too much.
"500 morganite spirit stones in this bag, in total that's more than 11,700 gold. We can buy the farm!"
Fuyo almost jumped, was this where the saying "money falling from the sky" came from. It was a huge amount that could contribute towards their future.
"Alright, keep your voice down. Down let anyone hear, if they found out how much money we have on us they could be tempted to attack. I will heat up the elements, you quickly gather the salt and oil."
She nodded her head, jumped on the carpet and flew back into town to purchase the ingredients.
Fuyo was still breathless after receiving the news. But he wiped off his smiled and immediately set out to work.
He grabbed the sword and stabbed the sticks; a little spark came out from the tip of the blade. It wasn't a very big spark but after prodding it 30 or 40 times a fire finally started. It spread from the stick and ignited the dried out grass, leaves and bark.
Fuyo signaled to the back. "Okay kids, pull the logs in and slide them under."
They used their heads to push big logs into the fire. This was to keep the fire burning for long periods of time.
"It should take around 30 minutes for the stone plates to heat up."
He turned back to the kids and said "Good job guys, your parents will really appreciate your efforts and may even reward you."
The chatter started again as they talked about it, they patted each on the back for doing a good job. It was a very cute scene.
Some adults started turning up and saw the 5 massive stone grills that the kids had built; they were amazed but also slightly mad. "Son, you said there would be food but I don't see any? You didn't waste my time did you? I still have work to do so I can't fool around. I have to make as much money as possible to feed you and your sister."
"No dad I was being seriously, the kind sir over there even said it. That's why all us kids helped out to pitch in and build the massive grill to cook the food."
"Cook the food? Where is the food? I don't see any pots either? What can he possibly be cooking? Even if he was rich would he really be able to afford such a large amount of herbs for a soup this big?"
The boy started to cower under his father's words; he wasn't one of the kids that got to try the meat. He didn't even know what they had eaten so he couldn't give his father an honest answer.
"I...uh..don't"
