Kumo knew that of course the safer option would be to wait amd see what happens. But who would feel safe if they find out that there is a dragon in their backyard???
He couldn’t just sit down and watch, not to mention they said it was a young dragon. If there is a young dragon then there is obviously also an adult dragon. What if the parents later destroyed this entire mountain out of anger when they find out their child was killed?
He didn’t want to leave this mountain, he was reincarnated into this world. And from novels he knew that all reincarnators where a jinx. Who knows what dangers he will meet outside the mountain.
So he silently followed the cultivators, he wasn’t worried about being discovered. This mountain was full of demons the cultivators wouldn’t pay attention to him.
But he was still careful, he never met human cultivators before so who knew what kind of tricks they had. Luckily he had spiritual sense so he could follow from far away. And from what his bloodline knowledge told him demon beasts with spiritual sense where extremely rare. So only a lunatic would suspect that a spider that is 1 Kilometer away is following them.
But the question was know, what to do? If it was dragon or humans he didn’t want either of them in the mountain. If possible he wanted only spiders on this mountain, that was because he discovered something.
The spider demons didn’t seem to attack each other unless they were really starving. And the female spiders would basically never starve, because if a female spider didn’t have food the male spider demons would have to offer all their food.
This made him kinda happy that he was reincarnated as a female spider. Otherwise if this was a novel the title would be “help my spider wife is bullying me“. He prefered his current situation over being bullied by the female spiders around.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Not to mention if he really reincarnated as a male spider demon he wouldn’t be able to achieve anything. He could feel it in his bloodline, when male spider demons reached a certain amount of strength they needed permission of their wife if they wanted to progress further otherwise their cultivation would be forever on bottleneck.
As female spider he didn’t have such issues, he could cultivate freely without issues. That was awesome after all what reincarnator would like to be forever reliant on his wife with no chance to escape. As for male spider demons without wife? Don’t even mention them they had it even worse with no chance to ever reach a high cultivation level.
But kumo suddenly realized something terrifying. WHERE ARE THE HUMAN CULTIVATORS??? He thought back to what just happened he was following them anf then started thinking about the civilization of spiders. And it seems like he lost them because he got distracted.
Don’t think he could easily find them again just because of spiritual sense. This wasn’t a small world, mountains in this world where tens of kilometers high, and they were full of forests and living beings. Finding someone on such a mountain was basically impossible.
Luckily he vaguely remembered the direction they went so he decided to simply go that way? As for go back? Don’t even joke about it he had long ago already got lost. Spiritual sense wasn’t very helpful in that regard, because this mountain had hundreds of cave or even thousands.
After all he wasn’t the only demon beast living in caves. Finding the way back would be extremely difficult, it would be easier to just use a new cave. But he still didn’t feel save he wanted to atleast see the dragon to find out if it was a malicious dragon or not.
So he slowly walked deeper into the forest while being surrounded by trees. He appreciated the view, after all this was the first time he left the cave after coming to this world. Many things that would be unimaginable in his last world existed in this world.
And now he could finally enjoy this scenery, but what he didn’t know is that while he was enjoying the view, a pair of eyes was watching him. Something had managed to avoid his spiritual sense and to silently approach and follow him.
