Dragons are capitalists?

While walking kumo suddenly heard the system notification. He was surprised, the system rarely acted up on it’s own. Sometimes he even thought he got aa scam system because it had barely any functions. In a year he only managed to use it twice, what kind of system is this?

[System noticed that host met the spider queen abd is about to meet a dragon. The system will give you some history knowledge about the relationship between spiders and dragons to prepare you.]

[The Dragons belonged originally to the alliance of greed, they robbed villages and horded tons of gold. Countless people suffered under their attack but the dragons didn’t care they were busy stealing all the treasures.

Only after the dragons discovered capitalism did that change. They discovered that other demon clans and the humans viewed their body parts and blood as treasures. So they decided to sell their blood and shed skin.

They could lazily sit back while others brought them treasures in order to exchange for blood or a bit of skin. With that they slowly lost their motivation to go robbing villages and their true lazy nature showed. They started having fallouts with the alliance of greed and decided to join the alliance of sloth.

From then on they could lazily sit back and horde treasures without doing anything. They only wouldn’t sell to the alliance of gluttony, their pride didn’t allow them to be seen as food. Especially after the legendary big fallout between the alliance of gluttony and the dragons did the dragons stop all business with the alliance of gluttony.

From then on the dragon clan got extremely close to the spider clan and cat clan. In fact they got so close that their are legends that some people saw cat dragons or spider dragons.]

Kumo was dumbfounded when he heard this. So dragons were capitalists in this world? And they sold their own blood? Then what did the humans want here? Or did the dragons not sell to humans?

But the system only mentioned about not selling to the gluttony alliance. The humans didn’t belong to any alliance so they wouldn’t be involved in that.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

He could only carefully ask the dragon later. Luckily demon beasts didn’t have the habit of keeping history books so he had a good excuse for not knowing. Tho he hoped the system would give him more informations like this, he lacked seriously knowledge about this world.

Suddenly he was surprised, he had found the humans again. It seemed they were on the same way as him just that they didn’t have a map personaly made by the spider queen so they were slower.

So should he go to the dragon first and wait there? Or continue to follow them and sneak attack when they were in the middle of the fight?

He was aware of his current abilities, he had strong poison, barely practiced curse spells and the physical strength of a spider demon lord.

That wasn’t versatile enough at all, compared to humans who practiced who knows how many spells and martial arts it was basically a joke. But he wasn’t discouraged, even if ut was a strong cultivator they would die under his poison.

That was normal, they weren’t omnipotent, a lethal hit would still be lethal for them. It was just sad that he wasn’t able yet to curse people to death, otherwise he wouldn’t need to put himself in danger.

As for why he could coldly think about killing humans without feeling anything? He had long found out the answer to the question. Only his soul had reincarnated into this world, meaning he had a spider brain. Spiders had a completely different concept of empathy, so even tho all his memories were the same, having a spider brain still changed him.

But he wasn’t to worried about that, what was he supposed to do about it, remove his brain? So since there was no solution it was best to not think about it. For now it was best to find a way to deal with these humans.

He wanted to show his worth to the spider clan. He would need a backing in the future so that no one bothered him. After all of his backing would be strong enough to summon thousands of spider demons every time someone dared to disturb him, then would he ever need to be scared?

He silently approached the humans, this was pretty dangerous he didn’t know their range of spiritual sense. And his use of spiritual sense was still that of an amateur. If he got in range they definitely would discover him.

But he had to do something, he had no idea how strong that dragon was. If they arrived at the dragons place and the dragon killed them all instantly then his chance to gain the approval of the spider clan would be lost.

Who knows since dragons are capitalists in this world, then the dragon might even be able to negotiate with the humans or bribe them. He had to gain his backing no matter what, he knew the strength of a single person was limited it was better to get ressources from the spider clan. For example he knew that it was extremely difficult to become a queen, a few pointers of a spider queen would be able to save him years of cultivation, so he had to risk it a little bit today.
