"Alright, listen closely. Here's the plan, I'm going to sneak up to the second floor very carefully, looking for anything useful that can lead us to the underground." Kaizoku said to Sylphy.
Sylphy looked around, making sure no one was listening. Feeling safe, she replied in a quiet voice.
"But we can only do this once. If we mess up, this mission will be a suicide run. We have to remember, we're in enemy territory."
Before Kaizoku could respond, a man appeared at the top of the staircase, addressing his guests.
"Welcome, welcome, my guests! Please enjoy the food and drinks I've provided..."
The man had the charisma of a master deceiver. He was slim, with jet-black hair slicked back and a well-groomed mustache. His bright blue eyes sparkled with intelligence and cunning, and his charming smile, like a double-edged blade, hid hidden motives. His stylish and impeccable attire, paired with polished leather boots, added to his mysterious aura. Behind that polished appearance lay a trickster always one step ahead of his prey: Lord Thomas.
"Please, indulge yourselves! In my name, Lord Robert Thomas, eat and drink to your heart's content! Dance like swans..."
Kaizoku and Sylphy eyed Lord Thomas with intense seriousness.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
"That's him, the Lord Thomas, old man mentioned." Kaizoku said with very serious stares.
Sylphy looked at him, puzzled. "Old man? Whose old man? You know him?"
"No time to explain, we need to find Gabriel before Lord Thomas realizes we're here."
After Lord Thomas left, Kaizoku and Sylphy set their plan into motion.
"Sylphy, you create a distraction, and I'll head up to the second floor. Once I'm there, I'll distract them, and you can jump to the second floor without anyone noticing. Got it?"
Sylphy nodded, her expression serious. "Got it."
She moved to a spot near the closed entrance doors.
Kaizoku gave a small nod, signaling he was ready.
Sylphy then began to cry as loudly as she could, drawing everyone's attention. "Huaaaa! Where is my fiancé? He's vanished! Please help me! Huaaa! Where are you, Billy!"
Everyone, including the guards on the second floor, came downstairs to see what was happening.
With all eyes on Sylphy, Kaizoku stealthily made his way to the second floor, carefully ensuring no one saw him.
Once he was sure no one was looking, Kaizoku scanned the second floor. "Hah!? So many doors! This is a hassle."
He let out a loud shout to draw attention for Sylphy make her ways up the second floor. "Help!!! HELP!!!!"
When everyone turned their heads toward the noise, Sylphy used the opportunity to jump up to the second floor.
The guards who had come down hurried back up to see what was going on.
Kaizoku quickly opened one of the doors, luckily finding an unlocked room. He hid beside the door, waiting for the guards to enter.
As each guard entered, Kaizoku managed to knock them out one by one with a swift blow to the back of the guards with his revolver butt.
He then searched for a master key and finally found it in the pocket of the last guard. "Perfect! Now I can open all the locked doors."
Kaizoku stepped out of the room and locked the door behind him, making sure the guards couldn't get out.
