Chapter 8 — Hell on earth

Abaddon's body jammed the sword right into Zen's neck, the tentacles now held Zen tightly, not allowing Zen to escape.

A black sphere formed above Abaddon's neck, which then turned into his face.

Abaddon pulled the sword out of Zen's neck and proceeded to stab him multiple times in his chest.

"Eighth Plague." Abaddon spoke, throwing his sword down and joining his hands. "Locusts of Envy."

Within the next moment, thousands upon thousands of Locusts descended upon the deserted land, Zen sat on his knees, motionless on the ground.

"Consume."

The locusts started to fly towards Zen.

Zen's left eye fell to the ground, with the nerve connected to his skull.

'!'

The eye started to expand, two extremely thin, golden threads wrapped around Zen's neck, lifting him up into the sky.

The eye turned clear, locusts which came in contact with the eye withered.

Before Abaddon could react, the eye was large enough to fit the two inside, it expanded for a few more moments, and then stopped.

The deserted land inside the expanded eye was now covered with a blood-like fluid. Zen was high up in the air, his left hand fell to the ground.

"Second Innate Technique; Orb of 'his' Wrath." Zen screamed, his body covered with blood and painted upon his face a grin."

Abaddon's tentacles tried to reach Zen, however, they were much too short. The closer he got to touching Zen, the farther it felt he was.

"Scarlet Moon, Chase."

A hand, no, it was much too big to be called a hand, it was more like a hunk of flesh, it didn't have skin, bones protruded from where the knuckles would be, chased Abaddon.

Abaddon, unaware of the hand following him, ran towards the 'barrier' separating Abaddon, Zen and the outer world.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH", Zen's wounds were now.. boiling?! Zen's blood had 'evaporated' from his body, leaving a gnarly, red residue upon his body. His wounds closed themselves, however, they opened themselves up as soon as he seemed to recover. This pain was unlike anything Zen had experienced so far, not even Hyasu almost pulling his jaw off could compare. He screamed his lungs out, only for the threads to tighten and his right leg to fall off.

*crunch* Abaddon was crushed into a ball of flesh and bones.

*thud*, the eye shrunk back into its previous state, and melted. The threads holding Zen disappeared and he fell to the ground.
