Chapter 14.1 - Expanding on the power system.

Chapter 14.1 - Expanding on the power system.

After one awakens their Kyon core, their strength is increased greatly (Nearly 5 times).

One, after cultivating their Kyon core for two to three years and practicing their martial arts and passing a test of affinity, is promoted into a White Grade.

A newly awakened and a White Grade differ not much in strength but in affinity for battle and speed, the difference is around 2 fold.

The strength of a Kyon user is divided into different 'grades', the grades are classified on color, the stronger a user the darker the color of they 'Kyon Core' gets.

They are thus classified, from weakest to strongest, as follows

White

Green

Blue

Orange

Magenta

Red

Purple

Violet

Black.

The difference of strength between a Magenta grade and an Orange grade is almost equal to the difference between a normal human and a White grade.

After a certain level of Kyon mastery is reached, the user can perform techniques.

These techniques are divided into four groups.

Beginner

Intermediate

Advanced

Unique

Beginner techniques: As the name implies, these techniques are the easiest to learn and are usually taught to beginners.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

They do not require large Kyon reserves nor much time to learn, they are thus weak and do not have many practical uses excluding a few, which are usually replaced by an intermediate or an advanced technique soon.

Zen's 'Condense' and 'Cleanse', are exampled of this.

Intermediate techniques: These are basic techniques which contribute greatly to the growth of the user.

Mastery over ten Intermediate techniques propels the user battle capability comparable to a middle stage who has almost broken through into Magenta Grade.

Hyasu's 'Sable' is an example of this.

Advanced Techniques: These are the strongest Kyon techniques. Techniques in this grade beat Intermediate Techniques in their respective strengths many times over.

Advanced Techniques are, as their name implies, very tough to master. However, they are just as rewarding.

Most of Hyasu's techniques are Advanced Techniques.

Unique Techniques: No two individuals possess the same Unique technique, obvious from its name. These are the toughest to master without talent.

Unique techniques have three different sub-techniques,

1st, the Innate Kyon Technique: After the user gets a firm grasp of their own Kyon, getting to know how it behaves differently from others' Kyon, the user is enlightened.

This 'Enlightenedness', however, only lasts for a few short moments, during which, the user gains an 'Instinct', this is the instinct to give the Innate Kyon Technique a name.

The better the name, the stronger and easier to use the technique becomes.

If the name initially given was too inaccurate or 'bad', the technique can change altogether when given a new name.

2nd, The Gaiten: After the Innate Kyon Technique becomes Nigh-Perfect, it starts to break down, during this break down phase, the user is, again, enlightened.

This enlightenedness is different though. It lasts forever, weakening as time goes on.

The user, for a few moments after attaining the Gaiten, becomes crazed. Within the crazed state, the user knows nothing but to kill, kill whatever crosses their sight.

The Gaiten, like the Innate Kyon Technique, has to be given a name, and like the Innate Kyon Technique, betters itself with the name.

It is usually stronger than the Innate Kyon Technique.

Lastly, The Gaiga: It is the final Unique Technique, stronger than the previous two by a long shot.

Unlike the previous two, it does not enlighten the user, but it rids the user of a singular negative emotion for as long as it lasts.

This negative emotion maybe something as small as just another thought crossing the mind, or something as big as a cardinal sin.

The Gaiga has two types,

The first, Growth Type Gaiga: This type of Gaiga usually modifies the body into a more battle ready stage, like growing wings, or harnessing the Blade That Destroys.

This type of Gaiga only has one stage, and usually also increases the overall capabilities of the user by two to three times.

The Second, Expanse Type Gaiga: It creates a vast plane. The plane is modified so as to give the user the advantage.

The plane thus has two special effects,

The first effect is the "Flash Step", it allows the user to teleport anywhere within the plane. Usually, the user is granted only three Flash Steps, however, the number can increase with the proficiency of the Gaiga.

The Second effect is unique, catered to make sure the user wins after unleashing their Gaiga.

Like the previous two, The Gaiga has to be given a suitable name, without which, it will be weaker. Sometimes, it will not harness at all because of its bad name.
