The Doctor And The Witch

Hours had passed and a doctor named Brennan Easom was standing by the coffin that the prince put Chloe White in.

"I can't seem to figure it out... How could she have died?" Doctor Easom asked.

"Mrs. Dranaj believes that the apple I fed her was poisonous..." Kennith said.

"Well, there you go then. She was poisoned to death," Doctor Easom said.

"I barely knew her... And yet... She seemed so special..." Kennith said.

"If she matters that much to you, perhaps there is something we can do..." Doctor Easom said.

"But... She's dead... You can't bring the dead back to life..." Kennith said.

"No... She'll never be fully alive again, but we could use magic to bring her into a state of almost life," Doctor Easom said.

"How?" Kennith asked.

"I have a friend who does magic. He owes me a favor anyways, so I might as well call him here," Doctor Easom said.

"Please do..." Kennith said.

Doctor Brennan Easom sent a message by bird to his friend.

"That's a quick bird, the note will be delivered within no time," Doctor Easom explained.

“Gee, I sure hope so... If there is a chance to restore her, I’d like it to be done...” Kennith said.

Within no time at all, the furry face of a small cat appeared in the window.

“I have arrived,” the cat said, staring at his old friend.

“What! A cat?!” Kennith exclaimed, jumping back in fright.

In a glimmer of light, the cat transformed into a human with a large duffel bag strapped across his shoulder.

“This is my friend who does magic. Flowwsink Treebudge,” Doctor Easom explained to the prince.

“So I see!” Kennith said.

“I am assuming this female is the cause of the letter you sent to me?” Flowwsink asked, approaching rather casually.

“Yes, indeed. Prince Kennith Sheershider here called me to examine the body, but he doesn’t wish for the girl to remain deceased,” Doctor Easom said, motioning at the prince.

Flowwsink Treebudge adjusted his duffel bag, took a deep breath, and sighed.

“I’ve warned you before... It is impossible for me to bring the dead fully back to life,” Flowwsink said.

“And I know that and I’ve explained everything to the prince and yet... And yet he still desires it,” Doctor Easom said.

“But of course I do... I’m the one who fed her the poisoned apple like an idiot anyhow!” Kennith said.

“Poisoned apple! You must have had a run in with one of the few evil witches!” Flowwsink exclaimed.
