Chloe White exits the cabin and the men go to bed. Taking a different path through the woods this time, Chloe stumbles upon a little stream and follows it.
“Such pretty water... I wonder where it leads!” Chloe White says, grinning.
As she is walking, the wild animals rediscover her and follow along with her.
“Hello, beautiful creatures!” Chloe White says, taking notice, “Have you guys been down this way before?”
The animals do not reply, but continue following. Among the group is the same few deer from before, but a pair of foxes have joined them today. A squirrel climbs down a branch and gently plops down onto Chloe White’s head as she is passing. Eventually, the stream widens and reveals a gorgeous lake and meadow which were hiding deep in the woods.
“Now I see!” Chloe White says.
She stoops to touch the water and, when she does, she realizes that she lacks a reflection.
“Huh? That’s strange...” she says.
The animals gather around and cast their reflections into the pool of water.
“Where’s my reflection?” Chloe White asks.
She dips her hand into the water and allows the crystal clear fluid to flow between her thin pale fingers.
“Maybe...” Chloe White begins, “This is not a normal pool of water?”

The animals sip from the water and look over at Chloe White curiously.
“Maybe the reflection of humans cannot taint the water,” Chloe White concludes.
She brings a handful of the water to her mouth and sips it. As she does, some of it spills back into the lake, but the water starts to grow reddish. Surprised, Chloe jumps back. The animals become frightened as well and take off, leaving Chloe White all alone.
“Oh, no! What have I done?!” Chloe White wails, “I ruined the perfect water!”
At the time, the huntsmen are returning to the woods to search for Chloe White again with their new found knowledge. From the information in the castle library, they have learned that Chloe and other vampires, are most vulnerable during the day. Chloe continues crying loudly, alerting the men that she is nearby.
“There she is...” one of the men whispers, “Who’s going to approach her?”
For a little, nobody answers. All falls quite as even Chloe White stops sobbing.
“I will, give me the necklace and I will charm her to her death,” another man volunteers.
The first man hands the second a necklace with a cross charm.
“There you go... Be very careful...” the first man says.
“I will...” the second man whispers.
He takes the necklace and hides it in his pocket before approaching Chloe White. She notices his reflection in the bloody water and turns abruptly to see him. She gasps.
“W-What are you doing here?!” she asks, glancing around curiously.
“Ah, my dear... I heard you crying in the woods and I was very concerned!” the huntsman says.
Chloe White backs up a bit, nearly falling into the water. She stops herself just in time and takes a deep breath.
“I’m fine... Please leave...” Chloe White says.
“I will leave, soon... Say... A pretty young lady like you would look good with some jewelry,” the huntsman says.
“Jewelry?” Chloe White asks, tilting her head slightly.
“I just so happened to have come across a nice necklace and I think it might suit you well,” the huntsman says.
“Oh... No, thanks...” Chloe White says.
“Would you really pass up a free gift...? Can’t you at least try it on?” the huntsman asks.
“Look, I don’t even know you...” Chloe White says.
“Here, I’ll put the necklace on you so you can see how pretty it looks!” the huntsman says.
Before Chloe White can further object, the man slips the necklace around her neck and fastens it tightly. Chloe White begins to panic and choke and, before long, she collapses to the ground.
Quickly, the huntsman runs back to his group where he is greeted with high-fives and cheers.
“The vampire is dead for sure! Let’s go back and tell the advisor!” the huntsman says.
