The huntsmen all turn and run back the direction they came from. Some time passes before Joey Fielder is sent out to find Chloe White, and, when he does, he bursts out screaming.

“Huh? Is that Joey? What could he possibly be screaming about?” Indigo inquires.

“I bet it’s just another of his lame jokes!” Grant grumbles.

“No, I’ve heard his play screams before... This one is serious!” Reynold interrupts.

“I say we go check the situation out,” Steve suggests.

“Yeah, well, after five more minutes... I’m too tired...” Slate says, hugging onto his pillow and rolling over.

“YOU’RE ALWAYS TIRED!” Grant yells.

With that, Clint Seaton falls out of his bed and hits his head.

“Ouch! My head!” Clint wails.

“Come on, Clint, Slate, we need to go see why Joey is screaming,” Steve says, helping Clint off the floor.

Grant Severn shoves Slate out of bed.

“Get up, you lazy head!” Grant yells.

“Now, now, Grant... Be reasonable...” Reynold says.

Reluctantly, Grant Severn leaves Reynold Thornton and Slate Fisher alone. Slate slowly rises from the floor.

“Well... I suppose I could sleep later...” Slate moans.

The six remaining men venture out into the woods and, before long, discover Joey Fielder crouching next to Chloe White’s body.

“OH HECK! JOEY KILLED THE GIRL!” Grant yells.

“...I...I didn’t... I found her like this! She’s dead!” Joey wails.

“Hey... What’s this...?” Indigo asks, crouching by the body.

“Huh?” the other men wonder.

“Why! Someone went and choked her with a necklace!” Indigo exclaims.

Quickly, without even being asked, Steve Fort snatched a sharp stick and handed it to Indigo Sickle.

“You might be able to snap the necklace with this... Just be careful not to jab her neck...” Steve says.

“Thanks,” Indigo replies.

“But, she’s already dead... How will removing the necklace help?” Slate asks with a yawn.

Indigo Sickle slips the stick under the necklace and snaps it.

“And I wonder... Is that her blood in the water...?” Indigo wonders as he removes the now broken necklace.

As soon as the necklace is removed, Chloe White begins to stir.

“She... She’s alive!” Steve exclaims.

“Where... Where am I...?” Chloe White moans, slowly opening her eyes.

“Chloe, we thought you were dead!” Steve says.

Chloe White rubs her sore neck and then sees the blood colored water again and gasps.

“What happened?!” Chloe White asks.

“That’s what we want to know!” Grant grumbles and crosses his arms.

“I don’t remember anything... I just.. I walked into the woods...” Chloe White says, putting a finger to her chin.

“We found this tied around your neck,” Indigo says, holding out the broken necklace.

Chloe White’s eyes widen in horror and she hisses, falling into the water.

“Huh, perhaps showing her the thing that nearly killed her was a bad idea...” Indigo says.

Steve Fort fishes Chloe White out of the water.

“Come on, we need to get you somewhere safe... Whoever has done this thing might still be around...” Steve says.

“T-thank you...” Chloe White says, dripping wet.

The seven young men help escort Chloe White back to the cabin.
