三位艺术家，行走四海。从东亚到北美，从东海岸到波斯湾，寻找灵魂故乡，寻找彼此，寻找爱情、正义与平等。 《桔雨》是一个校园故事，从高中写到大学以后。这是我在2018-2019年高考前开始写的故事。读研之后，我又想续写它了。主要人物何青桔和张宇航，各取一个字，就成了“桔雨”。 上篇取材广州，叫《珠江岸》。下篇取材海外，叫《海与海湾》。 我一度希望自己能更多地为正义和弱势的人们发声。于是那年高考前思来想去，便以笔为剑，创造了张宇航这个让我很多年过去都还十分喜爱的角色。 希望他作为思考者能继续勇敢地批判，作为艺术家能继续勇敢地作画。 希望如同何青桔和张宇航这样四海为家的人能找到此心安处。 English version of this story, "June and Yu", can be found here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/100361/june-and-yu English Synopsis: This is a school life / romance story of 3 artists -- who studied fine arts and music and got to know each other in high school and college. They traveled the world from Asia to US and to the Persian Gulf, in search of each other, in search of love, justice, and equality. The fiction is being translated into English by myself, with the name "June and Yu". The original Chinese name of this fiction, "Ju Yu" means "tangerine rain". It simply takes one word each from the female lead's name, Qingju He, and the male lead's name, Yuhang Zhang. The first half of the story, "Pearl Riverside" takes place in Guangzhou, China, a southern city by the Pearl River. The second half of the story, "From the Sea to the Gulf" takes place in the United States and the Persian Gulf. I hope that people with diverse cultural backgrounds like Yuhang Zhang, Qingju He, and another main character who will appear later, Thomas Chow, will eventually find their true home on their cultural and spiritual journeys. I hope that compassionate people like them can continue to bring hope into people's hearts, wherever they go.
