Robert waited anxiously for the sound of an explosion from the castle. Dimitri had given the signal that he was going to set the bombs earlier, and the time it takes for the fuses to burn was almost up. He had a signaling orb in his hand, which he had to light up on the explosion. The wait didn’t last long, a few minutes later an explosion rang out from the castle.
Robert immediately used the signaling orb. The crystal goblet like orb flew up to the air with a whistling sound. Reaching a height, it exploded into a red colored firework which stayed lit for about a minute. As Robert was using the light orb, many gunshots rang out from different building tops of Cutthroats valley.
Isidro was keeping track of the expert through his scope when he heard the explosion from the castle. He took a look at the castle and making sure it was from the castle, he relaxed and aimed to the head of the expert who was looking to see where the sound came from and pulled the trigger.
The cartridge moved backward and touched the metal pin that was red hot by the flames of the oil lamp inside the barrel. The gunpowder inside caught fire and the pressure rose up, pushing the metal bullet, rotating through the rifling of the barrel and exiting it. a trail of smoke and fire behind it. The bullet buzzed through the air seeking its target. In the next moment, the expert that was atop the fire element panther was lying on the ground, with a hole in his head.
Isidro let out a sigh, it was his first ever kill with a gun. He then did the steps of reloading that he had done a thousand times over. In a few seconds, another round was in the chamber.
He took aim at another expert, who had seen the other expert going down and was looking around to see how and why he was suddenly dead. He was alarmed by the explosion from the castle, but seeing his comrade that was near him go down, he immediately understood the situation and became on guard. He looked around to find the source of the arrow, which he guessed that killed his friend, but couldn’t find the source. When he finally when he saw a man on the roof away from him with a metal rod in his hand, it was too late.
The gun spat fire, he saw something black in front of him and everything went black for that expert. He died, just like that. Although he saw his attacker, although he saw the attack, even with his high cultivation, he was unable to defend himself. If it was an arrow, he could have just caught it with his bare hands, but at this moment he was unable to do anything. He was dead.
Isidro reloaded the gun, his primary and secondary targets were down, now his next order was to snipe anyone who will be coming out of the castle. Just as he took the rifle from the initial position to have a better view of the castle, another explosion rang out from the castle.
Isidro was enjoying this job. Although he was in the army before and had shot down many people from a distance, this was something new, a feeling of shooting down foes many times more powerful than that of himself. And doing so without even walking into the battlefield. Isidro truly had the heart of a sniper assassin.

Mike had only one target, and the moment the explosion rang out, he had already taken out his target. The men around him all began to take out their guns and moved towards the castle. Mike’s next duty was to protect the Hwacha from being destroyed by any enemies from behind.
The two men that were in charge of moving the hwacha pulled a lever on the back of the carriage and its roof came off. They all pushed the hwacha into the front of the castle, the men alongside them had begun to shoot and take out the thugs that had been standing around. Mike immediately hopped into the back of the carriage and started shooting down foes at a distance.
He only had a single complaint. The reloading was too meddlesome, if he could shoot faster without caring about reloading, that was all he wanted.
A cart with a man sitting on it, pushed by two men and surrounded by ten men, all aiming their guns at different directions moved through the street into the entrance of the castle.
Five guards were standing atop one of the four corner towers of the city. They heard a small pop, followed by fireworks in the sky. Before they could even think, two men were lying on the ground, their heads bleeding from a fresh bullet hole. Sounds of guns rang out from the bottom of the tower, three men who seemed to be just passing by the tower suddenly pulled out a weird looking weapon and aimed at the guards that were guarding the tower at its base. Three shots and three men down. The attack from the gun at this close range was unavoidable and the men all had their leather armor pierced by the bullets that were aimed at their center mass.
The three militiamen didn’t wait around any longer, taking the shields from the fallen guards, they opened the tower's door and entered it. The drill they had in the Greystone was crystal clear, do as they were ordered and they will be unscathed. Keeping the shields atop their heads, two men climbed the ladder that led to the top of the tower. While one guarded the base and the guns of the other two.
The guards atop the tower were alarmed by the noises from below and immediately understood what was going on. The enemy was inside the city! They looked down the hatch to see two men, with shields above their head climbing the ladder. They all took their bows and crossbows, aimed, and fired. But the black iron shields that the guards were holding was not something that was easily pierced. They climbed to almost just five feet from the top, the arrows were now leaving dents in the shields, and it looked just as if the next one was going to pierce through.
“Ready?” The militiaman that was in the front asked.
“Ready!” Replying, the man threw his shield away and climbed closer to the man in front of him to get covered by his shield. Gripping with just one hand, he pulled a small metal sphere with a fuse from his pocket. A grenade! He was a fire mage, lighting the fuse and waiting for a second, he threw it through the open hatch to the top of the tower, and kept his head low to prepare for the explosion.
Boom!
Hearing the explosion, the men dropped the shield and climbed to the top of the tower, the tower was theirs now!
