I was flying towards where I was about 33.3% sure Wolford was. I just went up as high as I could, picked a city, and started flying. I had just had an excellent meal, including a cyclops and a pack of unusually large rodents. I had a peaceful flight with some in-flight meals of harpies. Of course, I was too high leveled to get anything from them, but they tasted good non the less. As I got around halfway to, maybe, Wolford, I felt a sharp rise in danger before something impacted by my back with enough power to send me careening towards the ground.
Spitting dirt and gravel out of my mouth, I push myself up in the middle of the crater I had inveterately created. I was primarily fine given my high resilience, but the point where I was hit felt sore. I stood up as another figure impacts the ground 20 meters away from me. I stood up to my full height, ready to fight this devious foe, but as the dust settled, I gaped in disbelief it looked just like me. The only real difference was the color of our scales. His were bright green while mine was a deep purple. Other than the height, we were an exact copy, as he was a bit shorter than I was. It was as if I had a twin brother who miraculously appeared despite not existing for the past 26 years.
He spoke, "So, we finally meet I have waited to meet my original for some time now."
Confusion blanked my mind, "Orginal? You're a copy of me?"
He laughs uproariously, "In a way, I am. When I first came to this land, I was able to pick a native to copy. After looking at the list of mediocre talents, I had two options, that heroic fellow or you. Not wanting to be tied down and seeing the potential of your class, I made the right choice. However, unlike you, I used our class to its utmost potential, plotting out skills in advance to become a truly unstoppable force. While you just fought any old monster that came your way, I was very picky about what I fought. At the start, I had a plan to combine and exploit everything I could with this class, and I did so spectacularly. The only way I haven't surpassed you is your extreme resilience. I do wonder how to just stumbled into that. I do have one downside, though. If my original dies, I have to pick a new one, so I have to make sure I don't get put in a position where I have to kill you, as I would soon follow. All I have to do is beat you so badly that you won't ever fight me again. Thankfully I don't have to restrain myself when we fight, as I'm sure I can't kill you by accident. Now without further ado, let's begin."
With that, he kicked off towards me much faster than I thought possible. I was only able to react in time because of the 10x multiplier of the effect of monstrous instinct, boosting my reaction to 285. Even then, I could only see his fist, not react as it thumped into my head, disorienting me but little else. Before I could regain my focus, the air around me lit on fire, bathing me in intense heat. Still, this did little to harm me. Before fully registering the heat, it flashed below freezing, and I cried out for the first time in this fight. The sudden shift in temperature cracked a large number of my scales, causing me a considerable amount of pain. Another punch caught me on the chin sending me stagging backward.

"Can you see the difference in our power already? Unlike you, I've invested in every part of myself to the fullest. Bringing out every drop of power I could squeeze out of our class." He followed this by using a new skill, making him glow a deep red and a primal grin sprag onto his face. Faster than thought, his leg arced into my shoulder, almost knocking me over. He hit again and again, each time doing minor damage but shifting me around. Though it all, something was stirring inside of me, something primal, no, it was something draconic. Even though I couldn't fight back, a smile slowly crept onto my face. Even while getting my ass kicked, I was growing stronger. He thought he could break me, ha I'd like to see him try.
The copy's smile grew bigger as if hearing my thoughts, and then his hands and feet were first engulfed in fire, then electricity started to arc around them. His attacks came even faster now, and each one came with the force to obliterate steel.
His fist crashed into my solar plexus, and the air wooshed out of my lungs. As I bent over in pain, he ax kicked my head in the ground making a small crater. I could scarcely comprehend what was happening anymore. Every time I thought he couldn't grow stronger, he did. Was I really using my class wrong? Finally, something clicked in my mind. Yes, I was; all I did was fight; I never tried to understand or combine skills outside of when monster brawl told me to.
I reached deep within myself as I tried to stand up. Before I even got to my knees, another kick impacted my skull, making my brain slam into the side of my head. My thoughts grew hazy, but my instinct made up for it as I let out my first attack in this fight. Stamina flooded into my lungs as they refilled with air before saturating the air itself. With one last pull, I let out my most potent attack. The atmosphere could be seen vibrating as I opened my mouth, and fire washed over the land. For a kilometer, everything was fire; it consumed the forest in seconds. Along with the fire came a roar capable of pulverizing everything, not on fire.

After ten seconds, I closed my mouth, quenching the flow of flames. I was proud of myself for a second. I, who was once an average human, was now capable of this. It astounded the mind. Then I heard him speak again.
"Nicely done; with attack power like that, you might have had a shot at killing me. A month ago." His laughter filled the air as if this was a joyous occasion and not a fight to his death. With a sudden blast of air, the smoke around him was gone, and I saw him utterly unscathed, laughing at my attempts to kill him.
