To perform the blood spell, the caster has to offer his blood to the god of the underworld, Hades, by cutting a vein in the left wrist using a silver knife. After Hades blessed the blood, the sick person has to drink the blood within an hour or it will lose its effect.
Only Gods can perform the blood spell. If violated, an equal value shall be exchanged.
I was certain, I performed the blood spell that day. I know I am being ridiculous for asking this, but why didn't I die?
There are only three possible explanations:
First, I didn't successfully perform the blood spell. Either I messed out the chants, cut the wrong vein or Hades decided my blood wasn't good enough.
Second is that, when I cut my wrist, I couldn't stand the pain and I fainted. Maybe I was dreaming the whole time.
But Ruse survived, so I knew I performed the spell. But they said she was also personally treated by the Royal Priestess... I don't know!
Or, third, I successfully performed the blood spell and saved Ruse so maybe I am a God? Which was completely out of the question. That's impossible!
Regardless of these scenarios, there is only one thing for certain.
I cut my vein and dripped my blood in a cup. The scar on my left wrist is proof of it. Whether I used an ordinary cup or the goblet, I didn't know.

After my conversation with Alaric, I decided not to see him for a while. I was hurt that he didn't trust me.
How could he? I gave him my heart. I believed in him even if he didn't visit me in the hospital. I trusted him even when he left the pack without telling me. I had to enter his office sneakily just to talk to him.
I know! I am demanding. I am nothing but an Omega. I have no right to demand anything from my future Alpha. But we are together! We are a couple. We are supposed to believe in each other, Even when others don't!

"Aroa" Martina called me as I was washing the dishes in the kitchen.
"Martina," I said as I placed a plate on the sink.
"Ruse wanted you to cook meals for her," she answered. "She said, you know her taste best,"
Mmm... maybe Ruse wanted to reconcile with me? I would really like to make it difficult for her. After all, my feelings were deeply hurt. But she's now the Royal Princess of Wolves. I couldn't do that to her. So, despite my desire to tell Martina that she could do it herself, I kept my mouth shut and grabbed the pan.
After I cooked Ruse's favorite meals, Martina assisted me in putting the food on the plates. She said that since we are serving a Royal, we have to be mindful of how the food is presented. After helping me, she left as she had something else to do.
I had to bring the food to Ruse's quarters. As I entered her room, she greeted me with a bright smile. I placed the food on the table just like how Martina taught me. I was about to leave when Ruse called for me.
"Aroa!" she said. "Come sit with me."
"Oh no..." I began to refuse her.
"Please..." I couldn't deny her requests so I reluctantly sat beside her. "They all look delicious," she said, appreciating the food. "Let me try this one." pointing to a bowl of tomato soup.
Ruse had always been fond of soups. One of her favorites is tomato soup. I made sure that it would be included in her meal. She took a spoon of soup and started sipping it. Suddenly, she dropped the spoon and started coughing,
"Ruse?" I called her in panic. "Ruse, are you alright?"
Then, she started vomiting blood. The blood was deep red, almost black. She's poisoned. With wolfsbane.
But how?
The other servants started to gather around us. The princess dropped to the floor so I placed her in my arms. She tried to say something. It was inaudible even with my wolf hearing. She looked at me and smirked. Is she hallucinating?
A moment later, she closed her eyes and didn't make any move.
"You poisoned the princess!" One of them accused me.
"No, I didn't!" I told them. "Just call the healer. We need to save her."
"Move away from her!" They pulled me away from her. Some warriors came to restrain me.
Suddenly, the Alpha, the Luna, and Alaric were all inside the room.
"What's this circus all about?" asked the alpha in a growling voice.
"She poisoned the princess!" One of the servants declared.
"No, I didn't," I said, insisting on my innocence. I looked at Alaric, asking for his support, but he avoided my eyes.
"Call the healer here, hurry!" the Luna told the servants.
"As for this traitor, bring her to the dungeons," the Alpha ordered the warriors.

I didn't know how many days had passed. They have been torturing me for so long that I lost my sense of time.
They kicked me.
They punched me several times until my ribs were broken.
They pulled out my nails.
They hammered my knees, and my fingers... until they were blue.
I passed out several times, a welcome escape from all the pain they were inflicting on me. But no matter what they did, I never gave in.
I was innocent. Alaric would prove it for me.
