He was happy with his current strength but did not know the strength of those within the castle as such he still wanted more! An epiphany found Lucas and he realized if a scout was first sent then warriors clearly there must be a village up ahead. He should go check it out to see what he could plunder.
Lucas kept the remaining ability points for until he needed them. He needed to do a bit of reconnaissance and see what spells would guarantee his escape.
But before he went to go and pilfer from the village there was an ample amount of bodies here that could have something important. That he could steal from. So he went and started fiddling with cadavers robbing them of everything important he then placed them aside. He got 40 gold pieces, 250 silver and 200 bronze pieces. He got 10 health elixir potions, he knew this because it was a red potion in a bottle. He got what appeared to be half a map from one of the level 10 goblins.
Lucas then asked, " System do I have a dimensional space to store all these things?"
[ Unfortunately not. You will only unlock this at System level 3. Don't be disappointed you are just two levels away.]
Lucas, however, did feel dejected as he could not take these things home with him. So Lucas decided he would drink all the health elixirs on the spot.
"System, these red bottles are health elixirs, right? If true how much health do they give?"
[ They are health elixirs and they heal for 50 health for each one consumed.]
Lucas immediately gulped down one of them. He almost threw up though. It had a strong and repulsive medicine smell and taste. Clearly, the creators did not care about taste only the outcome. Lucas held his nose and drank the rest, netting him 500 health points. Meaning that he had 650 health points in total.
Lucas then took the biggest pouch he could find and stuffed in every gold coin and 50 silvers. After completion, he picked up the pouch and it was extremely heavy! So he decided to leave it there on the ground until his return.
"System does it still cost one gold to go back to the castle?"
[ Affirmative]
"Can I use these gold coins or is there a stat on the system that calculates my current wealth and gold is subtracted from that?"
[This function is still locked. System can use the gold that is yours. Since the Goblins no longer live and you picked it up. System acknowledges that you are the new owner. So funds are ready for purchases.]
This made Lucas happy because now he could use all the other skill points as he now had the money to leave. Lucas took a different pouch and then put two gold coins in it then put it on his waist.
Lucas then started walking on the path of the dungeon using his combat mode to look for any signs of danger. He walked for a while until light could be seen in the distance. Lucas used his zoom function and zoomed into where the light source came from. He then saw that it was a Goblin village. The size of the cave there was a lot bigger. The goblins must have dug a lot to increase it to this size.
The village was made out of stone. However, their gates were made out of wood. Lucas then scoped out the security and saw that at the gate was two level 9 Guards. Inside were about 5 level 8-9 Goblins marching around. Lucas assumed he killed the rest. The village, however, was bustling with young Goblins everywhere. Lucas had yet to make a move because he had yet to see the Goblin King leading them. This was simply conjecture but running in now without proper reconnaissance will lead to a swift death.

Lucas opened the ability store and filtered the spells to long-range offensive spells. There he saw many AOE spells like Quicksand - turns earth into quicksand that can either slow down a target or engulf them. But this was not what he was looking for. He then saw another one called Arcane ray - Convert mana into a physical form that can damage enemies from a distance. The strength and speed of the ray is dependant on the caster.
This excited him for this is exactly what he wanted. He needed a spell that could kill from a distance as to take out as many goblins as possible before he gets spotted. Lucas quickly bought it at rank F. He clicked on my skills and saw the spell, Arcane ray. He then clicked on it to assimilate the knowledge immediately.
The knowledge poured into his head and he understood the essence of it. The strength of the spell was also amplified by his blessing: harmonization with mana so he was confident that he could instakill a Goblin below his level. Lucas then walked until he was about 100 meters away from the village. He then pumped the remaining skill points into dexterity giving him a total of 26 dexterity. This would increase his spell casting speed further allowing him to kill the two guards in quick succession.
Lucas then used predictive analysis and waited for the most opportune moment to kill the guards without anyone noticing. When that moment came Lucas used his zoom to focus on their heads he then aimed his finger at the one head and proceeded with his spell. A thin purple ray shot out his fingered piercing the air as it moved. It fired in 0.5 seconds he then fired the next one and killed the other guard. With little over a second two lv9 Goblins had fallen.
Lucas sucked in a deep breath. Not because he felt good that he had power to dominate the Goblins but by how with power you can dominate. Certainly, there are people in the world that could kill him in the same way and that thought made Lucas's will to get stronger grow. Most people would feel accomplished after such a feat but not Lucas. Lucas was different. It could be the combat mode or just the fact that his int and wis stats had increased.
After the two guards fell Lucas moved in slowly and removed their bodies. At this point about an hour had passed by since Lucas first came here. Lucas looked at his mana points above the screen and saw that he had 90 mana points left. He now gets 60 mana points an hour due to increased wisdom and an hour had already passed. He initially had 50 but the two Arcane Rays took 10 mana points each leaving him with 90 mana points.
Lucas thought "I need to kill all the guards in one go. I need at least 70 mana points to kill the Goblin King. Any less and it would make me feel comfortable."
Lucas thought he would just use a common lure tactic he had seen in games. So he broke off a piece of rock from the wall and then threw it in the middle of the guards. This alarmed them but they thought it might be the brats running around being mischievous again. But when they looked towards the gate they saw an intruder! But the guards at the gate were doing nothing... It then dawned upon them that they had already died.
A quick-witted goblin immediately blew a horn and all the non-military Goblins scattered and entered their homes. The path was now empty and the five Goblins where now looking at Lucas. After the coast was clear the all charged ferociously towards Lucas to kill him. Lucas then moved his mana to his hands and proceded with the spell. Due to his increased dexterity, the spell was shortened by quite a lot. Combat also allowed for extra focus which also shortened spell time.
Soon a fireball the size of a 24 inch/60cm beach ball was seen and the second it appeared the second it was released. The Goblins saw the size of the fireball. They felt the heat of it too so they tried to dodge it. But unfortunately, they were too late and before they could slow down to move left.
Boom!
An explosion rang out; leaving them dead. The quick-witted one had almost escaped but he still got hit by the blast radius and was severely injured. Lucas did the same thing he did with the rest. He walked up to the goblin and picked up his sword and killed it.
After the Goblins fell, you could hear a pin drop. It was dead quiet. But soon a figure could be seen walking along the path towards Lucas. As he did the villagers in their houses started praising him at least that is what it looked like. Lucas assumed that in order to receive such reverence from the goblins. This must mean that this is the Goblin King. But when Lucas looked at him he was disappointed. For he was only a level 14 Goblin.
"Seems I won't need 70 mana to kill this one. Two fireballs would be overkill." Lucas thought.
The Goblin King reached about 10m meters away from Lucas. Lucas then raised his hands to stop him from walking. For if he did battle would commence that second. The Goblin King stopped and then tried to communicate with Lucas but of course, Lucas had no idea what he was saying. Until...
[ After an hour of analysis. Gebic can be translated into English for you. Do you want this? Yes/No.]
" Yes," Lucas said.
Immediately the knowledge flooded his mind and now he could speak their language and understand it. Halfway through what the Goblin King was saying Lucas could finally understand.
" Did you kill all my guards?" The Goblin King said.
