Xiao was staring at the tall wall, it was around 200 feet tall, built with stones and bricks, just like the wall in the medieval era picture book Xiao used to read.

Xiao and Lars were now at the entrance of Julian Empire, the entrance door was two giant wooden and steel door, guarded by two guardsmen, each of them were holding a silver spear and a middle size shield.

This was the sub-entrance for Julian Empire, the main entrance was way bigger scale and way more people coming in and out as most of the people were the merchant and traveller, and it was much easier for them to move in or out of their baggage with such a big entrance.

As Xiao and Lars approaches the guardsmen, Xiao inspect his clothing and remember the places that got torn apart by the zombie wolf was now fixed by Lars two days ago, as if nothing ever happen before. This was all thanks to Lars's magic, he called it the Time reverse magic, which was also stored in a bottle. Compare to restoration, this magic was more like reversing the time of an object, making it goes back to how it looks one or two days ago.

(Kingdom of Dong? What the hell is that place? And traveller? Why the lied? Couldn't you just say that I'm the candidate for the Light Hero?)

Xiao looked at Lars with confused while Lars was going on and on about the beauty and amazingness of Julian Empire to the guardsmen.

(Oh well, guess I better play along with Lars's story as to not make anything goes wrong.)

Xiao was completely silent while Lars does the talking, Xiao tried to look at the expression of the guardsmen while they were listening to Lars, but since they were wearing a steel guard helmet that covered their face, he can't tell whether they believed Lars's words or grew suspicious on them.

"I see, another visitor, we've been getting a lot these past few days."

One of the guardsmen spoke, judging by his action and tone, it looks like he believed in what Lars said.

"Maybe it's because of the heroes assemble ceremony, which only happened every 50 years, people all around the world are coming here to celebrate and to see who's will be their next heroes."

The other guardsmen respond to his colleagues, their tone starts to change into a casual talking.

"Speaking of that, I heard the sword maiden was also selected as one of the candidates for the heroes band.

"Seriously?! You mean the...."

"Ahem. Hehe."

Lars interrupted their conversation just when the topic was heated up, as it was starting to go to nowhere.

The guardsmen quickly return to their usual strict looking attitude and tone, one of them spoke up.

"Oh! Sorry, well anyway, some strange clothing you guys got there, and I see no weapon carried by both of you. Very well, you two may enter, and welcome to Julian Empire, enjoy your stay here.

After that, the guardsmen opened a smaller door behind him, apparently, there was a smaller door designated within the big wooden steel gate, in this way, the guardsmen won't have to open the gate whenever the people that are coming in or out is only in a small group.

As Xiao was nearing the door before it opened, he can hear all kinds of noises and shouts from the other side of the door.

Once the door was opened, and the moment Xiao crossed to the other side of the door, he was stunned, as he just stood in place, with only his mouth opened wide and eyes filled with extreme excitement.

There were people, lots of people, walking, running, standing, sitting and laying down, hawker stands where all around the places, which mostly was built with woods for the pillar support and linen for the roof cover. The shop keepers from the hawker stands were promoting their goods with a loud and merry voice, which was coming from all direction as there were so many shops.

What excited Xiao the most was the people, not only there were people who's like him, a human, but also people who have a tail at their back and a furry animal ear on their head, people who was shorter than him but bulkier, some with overgrown beard and moustache, and people who have a long ear and their movement was so graceful and elegant.

"Whoa...."

Finally, the only word coming out from Xiao, for the sight he was looking at prove too mesmerized for him to properly construct sentences to describe his feeling right now.

"Righty right then, I'll be going to settle some business of mine for a while, so please, my lord, help yourself in this Gedeihen Market, and let's meet here in the evening, around sunset. Hehe."

Lars suddenly appeared in front of Xiao's eye, as he stuck his face so close to Xiao's face that their eyes almost touch each other. Xiao was startled by Lars's disgusting grinning expression as he backed away immediately from Lars.

Think back on what Lars had said just now, Xiao quickly blocked Lars's path as he was about to leave.

"No, no, hold up, you bastard! I'm coming with you, I ain't gonna stroll around when I don't even know this place, I don't want to get lost, and I'm not gonna stand here waiting for you until the evening when it's still in the morning now."

Lars was silence for a moment, suddenly, he pointed something to the sky at Xiao's back.

"Look! My lord, dragons!"

"What?! Where?!"

Excited by what Lars had just said, Xiao turns his head to the direction Lars was pointing and expecting a majestic looking flying dragon that he always saw in any video games he played before.

"Hmm, clear blue sky and.....where's the dragon? Lars?"

Xiao turns around and was about to launch a barrage of complaint to Lars, but when he found no one, Lars was already long gone from his sight.

"That goddamn bastard!"

Xiao got so furious that he shouted out loud, which attracted the attention of other people who were around the area.

Xiao immediately closes his mouth and sneaks away from where he just stood to stop further embarrassed himself.

(Never thought I felt to the oldest and stupidest trick of all. I swear when he gets back, I will punch him this time! This time for sure!)

Xiao clenched his fist as he kept thinking on what Lars did just now, but after for a while, he lets out a sign and just shakes his head, as to not think too much for Lars's stupid trick. Xiao looks around the area and wonders what is he going to do now while waiting for Lars.

(Now then, what to do? what to do? Should I wait for him at that spot? Or should I stroll around the area?)

Looking at all fantasy stuff that only appear in video games was now his reality, he made his decision without hesitation.

(Let's just stroll around and kill sometimes, as long as I keep track on my path, I should be able to trace it back to here.)

With that in mind, Xiao strolls the street aimless as he looks around places with pure excitement.

(It's just like most of the MMORPG games I played before, funny, how is it the concept and the scenery of this world is so much similar with the MMORPG games I am familiar with, is it just pure coincidence? or am I still dreaming until now?)

While Xiao was strolling and enjoying all that's happening around him, he stopped by smell, the source of the smell was coming from one of the hawker stands.

Xiao reaches to his pocket and grabbed out some coins that were given by Lars when they were still on the way to here. There were a few bronze coins and silver coins.

(That goddamn Lars, he didn't even explain how the currency works in this world? Guess I have to ask the shop keeper myself.)

With that in mind, Xiao cheerfully calls out the shop keeper who's selling the buns.

"Hey mister! How much for one of those buns?"
