Book 1 was all about Atlas’s glorious return to Earth after his epic Wasteland adventure. He came back from the Wasteland, all bruised and betrayed by Clark, who decided to take a vacation in the “backstabber” realm. Atlas was sent back in time to two years before Earth’s portals opened, and he realized he needed a top-notch team and some serious gear to face the impending Wasteland Apocalypse. So, naturally, he gathered a crew and stocked up like he was prepping for a zombie apocalypse sale.
Enter the SFB, which is like UFC but with swords. Atlas formed a team called the Portal Crushers. They duked it out in the SFB League, won some fame, fortune, and a ton of fights—basically, they became the Kardashians of the combat world and ultimately snagged the championship. Alongside all this, Atlas put together a micro-TV show called “Atlas Back to the Present,” showcasing the Wasteland’s perils to prep Earth for what was coming—think reality TV meets disaster preparedness.
