The mini faeries darted through the air like mischievous fireflies, treating Fort Bone as their personal playground. Their laughter echoed in playful bursts as they spun and twirled, wings humming in perfect harmony. They zipped between rooftops and trees, revelling in their newfound duty with gleeful abandon. Their tiny forms, glowing a brilliant red, flashed like sparks against the sky, adding a splash of color to the fort’s rugged landscape.
"Sister, look at us! We’re doing such a great job!" one of the faeries chirped as she zoomed past the marketplace.
"Yes! Mom would be so proud!" another responded, performing a loop-de-loop in the air.
The faeries were overjoyed with their new task, flying in patterns that looked almost like a dance as they kept an eye on the bustling settlement below. They were meant to watch for littering, stop fights, and ensure the safety of Fort Bone, but the idea of enforcement was still new to them. To them, everything was just a fun game.
Suddenly, a commotion caught the attention of one of the mini faeries. She spotted two men, drunk and stumbling, starting to shove each other outside the tavern.
"Oh no! A fight!" she squealed, her voice high-pitched and full of excitement. "Sisters, come quick! There's a fight!"
Three of the faeries immediately swarmed over, their tiny wings buzzing as they circled above the brawlers. They began chanting in unison, "Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! There's a fight over here! Look everyone, a fight! Look! Look!"
Their voices were so loud and relentless that it echoed throughout the area, catching the attention of everyone nearby. The two men, now startled, looked up in horror as they recognized the red hue of the faeries. They’d seen what the Red Fairy could do, and the last thing they wanted was to be on the receiving end of her brain-popping wrath.
The men quickly dropped to their knees, their drunken bravado evaporating as they prayed for mercy. "Please, please, don't blow our heads off!" one of them whimpered, tears streaming down his face.
The faeries hovered above them, satisfied. "Look, sister, we stopped the fight! It was so easy!" one of the faeries exclaimed, her tiny chest puffed out with pride.
At that moment, the patrol guards arrived, having heard the ruckus. They were used to breaking up fights, but this scene was something new. Seeing the two grown men on their knees, pleading for their lives from a handful of tiny faeries, was almost too much to handle.
The lead patrol guard couldn’t help but smile. "All right, guys, just get back to drinking, but no more fighting, okay?"
"Yes, sir!" the men replied in unison, not daring to make eye contact with the faeries.
The faeries turned to the guards, their little eyes sparkling. "Didn't we do a good job?"
"Yes indeed, you did a great job," the patrolman said, trying to suppress a chuckle. The faeries beamed, clearly pleased with the praise, and zipped off to continue their patrol. Glitter flowed through the air as they left.
As the day went on, the mini faeries continued their enthusiastic duties. They spotted two people wrestling inside a house and quickly swooped down. The door was slightly ajar, and they could see a man and a woman, both naked and wrestling together.
“Yes yes! Fuck me harder!” yelled the woman.
This fight was not exactly fighting like the previous bar brawl. But to the mini faeries, a struggle was a struggle.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Over here, there's a fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" they shouted, their voices piercing through the air.
The woman screamed in surprise, and the man jumped off the bed, both of them now shivering in fear. The group of 20 faeries hovered just above them, shouting their battle cry.
“Fight! Fight! Fight!” They continued chanting loudly.
The man and woman, scrambling off the bed, tried to get their clothes on.
"Look, we did it again! We stopped the fight!" one of the faeries said triumphantly.
Hearing the commotion, the patrolmen rushed to the location, confused about the sudden increase in fights. They quickly realized what had happened and were caught between embarrassment and amusement. The guards could barely contain their laughter as they stepped inside the house.
"Sorry about that, folks," one of the guards said, trying to sound professional. "We'll call the faeries away now."
The mini faeries, still hovering, looked up at the guards. "Did we do a good job?"
The naked man, now slightly less terrified but still shaken, blurted out, "No, you didn’t do a good job!"
The guards quickly intervened, "Well, in a situation like this, it’s not really a fight. You see—"
"It looked like they were fighting," the mini faeries argued back, their voices taking on a more serious tone.
The guards tried their best to explain the situation, but the faeries just couldn’t comprehend it. ‘Fighting was fighting, after all.‘ And the man and woman had certainly been tussling around on that bed.
Later in the day, the faeries encountered more situations that tested their newfound authority. At one point, a man casually tossed a wrapper onto the ground. In a flash, ten faeries swarmed him, their voices ringing out in unison, "Naughty, naughty, naughty! No throwing stuff on the floor! There’s a very good garbage can right there!"
Without waiting for a response, they zapped him with tiny lightning bolts, careful not to be lethal but enough to stun him into submission. They had been told to give a light warning after all.
PEW! PEW! PEW!
The man collapsed, unconscious from the shock.
"Oh no, he’s unconscious," one of the faeries said, concerned. "We’re supposed to collect a fine of ten mana coins!"
"Well," another fairy chimed in, "let’s go through his pockets!"
They rifled through the man's belongings, eventually finding the ten mana coins they were owed. "There we go!" one of them exclaimed, holding up the coins triumphantly.
But then, one mini fairy asked, "What do we do with these now? There’s no rule about that."
"You’re right," said another. "I think we should give it to Mom. She’d love it!"
"That’s a great idea!" the others agreed in unison, their wings fluttering excitedly.
They threw the mana coins into the air and yelled, “For mom!”

Far away, in another realm, the Red Fairy noticed mana coins randomly appearing in her domain. She laughed mischievously, "Ha, ha, ha! I knew that the SkyPatrols would work out."

Meanwhile, the guards were running around ragged, trying to manage the chaos caused by the overly enthusiastic mini faeries. Although their antics were amusing, they were also creating a lot of extra work for the guards.
Despite the chaos, there was one rule that the mini faeries hadn’t yet had to enforce: the emergency insurrection rule. For that, Atlas and his team were grateful. They were already dealing with enough. Fighting bandits during the day and fighting off demon dogs in the night. The thought of managing twenty unruly mini faeries on top of that was enough to make anyone shudder.
As night fell, the faeries finally started to settle down.
They hovered above the rooftops, looking down at Fort Bone, their new home. Despite the occasional misunderstanding, they were proud of the work they had done. "That was so much fun today!" one of the faeries sighed happily, hovering lazily above the rooftops.
"Yeah, fun! Fun! Fun! We stopped so many fights!" another chimed in, her tiny wings fluttering slower now that the day was winding down.
"And don’t forget, we collected ten mana coins!" a third faerie giggled, jingling the coins in her tiny hands. "Mom’s gonna be so proud of us!"
"Do you think tomorrow will be even busier?" one faerie asked, her eyes gleaming in the moonlight.
"I hope so," another replied, twirling in mid-air. "There’s still so much more to do! More fights to stop, more litterbugs to zap!"
“Zap! Zap!”
"Maybe tomorrow, we’ll finally get to use the emergency bad guys everywhere rule!" one faerie said with an excited grin.
The others gasped in unison, their wings twitching with anticipation. "Oh, I hope so! That sounds so important!”
They all hovered for a moment, gazing down at Fort Bone below. Their voices softened as they spoke, "We did good today.”
“Mom’s gonna love us even more."
“Love! Love! Love!”
And with that, they gently drifted off, their tiny forms glowing like fireflies in the night, ready to tackle tomorrow with the same enthusiasm.
