Galverus, the Rainbow Serpent, has begun its counter attack. Opening its wide mouth, a purple liquid was spat out in a disgusting fashion. It was not fast enough to hit any of us, but the volume it spat out was more than enough to cover a tenth of the solid ground we were standing on.
"Shit, I stepped over it accidentally. It does significant damage even with my level 3 Poison Resistance. Thankfully, it does not stick or else I would really have a huge problem."
"But the poison is still on the ground. We can't move pro- Be careful, Brother Fifty Silver."
After Fifty Silver stayed away from the puddle of purple liquid, the Rainbow Serpent's attack did not stop there. When our tank was still recovering his balance, the head of the serpent moved in a speed which I did not expect for something that big.

A single bite from the Rainbow Serpent took more than half of Fifty Silver's HP. What is scarier is that it was quick. I was barely able to follow its head before its teeth pierced his armour. Watching closely, there was no poison on its bite unlike the Hydrophis-- Something good despite the terrible situation.
"Fifty Silver! Damn, if he took that amount of damage, every one of us will be a single hit away from death. Maybe Michelle has a higher chance to live from its single attack."
"I can tank more hits if I block it with my shield skill. I was just caught off guard by its speed."
He stepped back and immediately gulped down a healing potion. The Rainbow Serpent did not follow his attack right away.
We got that going, but its body now was closer by centimetres. A lot more distance covered compared to when we did not do anything. We might die first by being suffocated by his slithery cage than dying by its poison and bites.
Knowing this, our attacks did not stop during all of that. There was now a clear wound on its colourful body showing some progress of our effort. Although, its disfigure head was still clean from any sign of battle. Mainly because I am the only one who is capable of hitting it.

Thirty seconds passed after its first strike the same thing happened. Our area was now two-tenths filled with poison while Fifty Silver was struck again. Although this time it was more dangerous because his potion usage was still on cooldown.
Besides that, his health was not fully recovered in the first place. His HP was nearing zero without any heals anytime soon. So if the Rainbow Serpent would strike again in thirty seconds or less, it means death for Fifty Silver.
"I need thirty-two seconds more to be able to drink again."
"We need to stun it for more than two seconds to survive another strike."
"It's no use. I have been trying since the beginning. It's resistant to crowd controls like many bosses. Even Cherry's slow arrows aren't working."

A dire problem that may mean our total wipeout. We need to change how we tackle this, so I suggested something to organize the group a little bit in this panic-ridden battle we have in.
"Everyone except Michi, stop attacking! Let her gain the aggro for the following strike."
They followed my instruction without hesitation and retreated back. We can only pray that the serpent's attack will not be a critical hit. Unexpectedly, all of us except Fifty Silver was still in a healthy state in this boss fight although I do not expect it to be the case later.

...
Our desperate ways somewhat stabilize our circumstances. Swapping between Fifty Silver and Michelle as tanks have proven to be affected for the meantime, but that does not mean we have a chance of winning.
Three more cycles the same as the previous attacks of the Rainbow Serpent and we will have no space to avoid the next spit. Maybe even less because of the shrinking body cage. The reason being the poison puddle the serpent continuously throws out has not given any signs of evaporating.
After another thirty seconds, the Rainbow Serpent once again gestured to attack. Hopefully, Michelle was able to successfully bring the aggro to her.
*Whoosh*
To our surprise, Michelle was able to somehow dodge yet we were not able to celebrate because it was relentless on making sure its target was damage by its bite.
"Woah~ It left me 20 HP, how thoughtful."
"I would laugh if you suddenly die because you stepped on the poison. Stop with your amazement and drink your potion already. How about you Fifty Silver? Good to go in the frontlines again?"
"Yes. If only my equipment were as good as you ladies, we won't be having this problem. Sorry about that."
"No point crying over spilt milk. Besides, this thing is just above our level."
It was time to dish out our weapons once again. This repeated until finally, someone in our group stepped over a puddle of purple liquid. Our movement is now limited that even my Roll skill would be difficult to use.
It may be the game's pity on us, but thankfully there was no critical damage done by the Rainbow Serpent yet. However, besides some superficial cuts on the serpent's body here and there, there was no clear indication of it dying soon.
"How much HP does this snake have? We've hit it for at least 5000 of damage, but it has not reached its second phase yet."
"Maybe there is no second phase. Nah, who am I kidding? It more likely its HP is proportional to its body length."
I said jokingly however my own words only made my spirit dampen more. While we were clinging on our life here my ears perked up because of foreign sounds which are not related to our ongoing fight.
...
"Where do we go next, Boss?"
"Ohoho~ Look what we have here. Lady luck is on our side that she gave us this boss to loot."
"Wait a minute Boss. Looks like someone is fighting inside it."
"Since when did we care about people hunting? Unless those guys are from a well-known guild, we take what is ours."
…
While we were having a difficult time thinking about how to escape the situation, foreign voices echoed from behind the thick body of the serpent. Rather than foreign, it is the voice we least want to hear in our current situation. It would be bad if a third party decides to join in-- or not...
"Shhh, be quiet. We don't want them to know it is us fighting in here."
"What do we do now, Big Sister?"
"We'll continue fighting the serpent since it would be impossible for those people to reach us with the body on the way. And if someway they attract this guy, that would be good for us."
I force my teammates to lower their voices so that it will only be audible for us. There was no indication they recognize it is us fighting from Smiling Hound's words. They might have thought we already left a while ago with our tail between our legs because of him. Although ironically, our only hope of escaping this predicament alive is also depending on them.
However, we cannot take our focus away from the fight as much as we want for the outside party to do something. The Rainbow Serpent did not care about the people outside and began to wobble its head again but this time, someone is going to be hit surely by the poison spit directly.
