The sky was dark, and the wind was still cold this winter. Despite the five alarms I have set, I am running thirty minutes late to school already. I did not walk but instead let my dad who is also late, drop me off the campus.
"Bye Lotti! Where's my goodbye kiss?"
"Too old for that and you should probably get going."
"Oh, Right! I'm already late."
"Bye, Dad."
There he goes.
My Dad also slept late because of the game. Meanwhile, Mom woke up the earliest and probably the only one who was not late for her work.
We talked about things that happened in the game during our way here and I discovered he went for a tank build for the frontlines while Mom is assigned to shoot behind with her short bow. Good to know my Mom went also for the bow.
Since I am already late, I am running towards my class. The first thing I notice when I stepped inside was that the campus was too quiet. I know that classes are still going on, but it should not be this deserted.
Since my first class was almost finished anyway, I head directly to my second class. The hallways were also deserted although I can hear some rooms with professors and their lectures. I peek at some of those rooms and saw that the highest attendees among the rooms were just eight students.
I entered my assigned room and there were only four people including me. The professor should be coming already if he is present.
"Good Morning~ Only 4 people. At least it's twice than my previous class."
"Do we have an additional grade for being present, sir?"
"Since it's a special case, plus ten to your next exam to everyone present today."
"NICE!!!"
That was out of the blue although I would accept this pleasant surprise any time of any day. Condolence to all late and absent. Aria, especially since ten points in the exam, would be a much-needed help for her.
"What do you want to do, class? Too tired to teach and more than half of you are absent anyway."
"How about the New World, sir."
"Hehe~ I'm glad you asked. What level are you? I'm already level 4 with an amazing weapon…"
Automatically, the topic went to the New World with the two students at the front leading the discussion with Professor. Their topics were interesting, but I prefer to chase my lack of sleep more.
The next class I got also ended early. The professor did not come in within the fifteen minutes of their time before they will be considered absent.

His absence was celebrated with cheers and world record running out of the campus. I cannot blame them, I'm also excited to go home to continue the grind.
It only took one quick meal on my way home before I went diving in back to New World.
The first thing I did was check the levels of LadyQueen Blade and Michi Mochi. They must have done an all-nighter since both of them were absent and still offline at the moment.
"Gosh! Level 10 already. What time did these two sleep yester- today?"
Within the time I was not in the game, they have doubled my level. If there was any ranking, they might be one of the top players in level. I feel so weak compared to them and I am supposed to be the one with the most experience at games.
"They're quite far already but there is no time to be down. Time to find some monsters."
Instead of being depressed or having my friend widens the gap between our levels, I used this as a motivation to go in on a hunting spree. Time to look at the forums for any good levelling spots or quests I can accept along the way.
-Fast level in Abandoned Graveyard…
"This should be the place Michelle got her weapon. This place does not fit archers, especially solo players, like me."
-First cute monsters near Twilight City…
"Why would I want to kill cute monsters."
-How to spawn Chief Goblin in Twilight Outskirts…
"It is a good farming spot but too low level for me already."
I scrolled down and down among the millions who have already posted in the NWF or New World Forum. This must be the fastest growth of a community ever with a billion users already on their website.
Fortunately, with the help of filters, I was able to find a good farming spot that has a quest accommodating it.
-A beautiful view in Moonshine
*The young girl name Luna gave me a quest to pick up crescent flowers today. I found out that Moonshire supposedly spawns most of these flowers, so I went along with no plans to fight. The road may have been a bit difficult, but the destination was totally worth it. I won't spoil the view, but I highly suggest you go there if you want to relax. Besides the few strong monsters roaming around, it is not a popular place for players. The quest rewards are mediocre at best, but the true reward was within Moonshire.
This post of an anonymous player has caught my attention. Moonshire sounds like a perfect place for me to gain some levels. Fewer monster means lesser chance to attract a group which is a bane for any solo players. There is also less competition in that place if this person is telling the truth.
And Moonshire just sounds like a lovely place.
I did not wait any longer and went to this girl since I wasted too much time just browsing the forums. The traffic of players has somewhat subsided this time, but it may be because it was still early in the afternoon.
Finding her was quite difficult because she does not stay in one place. I built up my confidence and asked some players and even NPCs if they have any clues where to find her.
"You're looking for Luna? What do you want from her, Traveller? Are you going to hurt her?"
"No, calm down for a moment. I'm not going to harm her. I just want to ask a few things about the Moonshire."
"Oh. You know her favourite place. It is weird for a Traveller to know that place. You must be a good person if you know it, so I'll tell you where Luna is for a favour."
"Ok, no problem."
"Can you give these flowers to Luna and please don't tell her that it came from me. Because it's her birthday soon, I want her to have these."
"Why won't you give it yourself?"
'Ah! What am I doing? This should be a quest and I'm trying not to accept it. It's because this boy is too scared.'
"I'm too shy to give it to her dire-
"Let me handle it!"
"Oh~ Thank you very much."
