Why do all these trash keep getting in Jakari’s way!
The young snappers outside saw their great master Jakari in trouble and they all ran in to assist him! There were about 20 young snappers all wood-ranked surrounding Jakari as they shouted, “Run master! We will buy you enough time to escape! The guild officer will be here soon to stop them!”
“PFTTTTTT! Hahahaha! You need all these wood-ranked snaggers to help you escape! So pathetic! Scram you little snaggers. This guy hurt my little sister and her party mates, he must face retribution for his actions.”
“He didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Yeah”
“She started it!”
The young snappers retorted in Jakari’s defense.
Instead of being happy, Jakari was growing increasingly frustrated that all these trash are gathering around him, getting in his way of being an adventurer although he wasn’t one yet. Now Jakari had to deal with 5 bronze-ranked trash and 23 wood-ranked brats. Why does everyone keep bothering him! His father’s advice wasn’t even working!
A flashback scene to where Jakari first entered the town of beginnings Lyonhall. Jakari’s parents were there as they brought their son here. His sisters weren’t here.
“That big building over there is the guildhall, will you need mommy to take you there?” asked Jakari’s mother as she was holding onto his and his father’s hand tightly.
“Mother, I’m 18 now. Please let me experience the outside world on my own. I promise you I will bring home only the most beautiful wife in the world.”
“Good!” exclaimed Jakari’s mother who wept a tear in her eyes in seeing her son’s ambition. She finally let go of his hand.
Jakari’s father advised, “remember Jakari, they are all trash compared to you. Don’t provoke any of them and no troubles should come your way. Do your best to ignore them, they are not worth your time.”
“Thank you father and mother for raising me. I, Jakari will become the strongest adventurer in the world and bring home the most beautiful wife. And I will ignore all the trash out there and focus only on my journey.”
Jakari gave his parents a hug before he finally set off for the guildhall in Lyonhall.
Flashback scene end.
Jakari ignored all the trash and began walking to the guildhall. A bronze-ranked trash using a spear knocked down several of the wood-ranked young snappers aside to directly swipe at Jakari. But it was a complete miss as Jakari side-stepped his attack without even looking at him. It caused the bronze-ranked spear trash humiliation that a non-ranked adventurer was able to dodge him! He slashed several more times with his spear and even used a few lethal slashes at him with his spear. But Jakari dodged everything with only the smallest amount of movements.
To the onlookers, it looks like a play being performed rather than a brutal beatdown. Laughter could be heard from the on-lookers.
“Everyone attack all at once! There is no way he can dodge all of us!” shouted the bronze-ranked black swordsman.
Jakari was still steadily walking towards the guildhall as all the young snappers defending him were already knocked out of the fights by the others. The 5 bronze-ranked adventurers attacked him from all sides with their sword, spear, fire magic, fire magic, and throwing stars. This was simply going overboard! Even if you were a bronze-ranked adventurer yourself, being attacked by 5 of them at the same time would be too much to handle. But if you were a silver-ranked adventurer, it would be child’s play for you to defeat them.
First, the black swordsman trash swung out his sword at Jakari’s arm, only for him to duck in an instant. Then the spearman trash thrust his spear towards the ducking Jakari, there was simply no way for him to dodge in time but Jakari did a super fast jump avoiding the hit. In the air, Jakari should be completely vulnerable! A fireball was about to land squarely onto him but Jakari somehow sidestepped the fireball in mid-air! It was simply too unbelievable that his footwork is just that good. As Jakari was falling back to the ground, a few throwing stars were shot from behind him. Jakari did a body-twisting motion to dodge the throwing stars from behind him before landing safely on the ground without any scratch on him.
The 5 bronze-ranked adventurers were completely flabbergasted that they stopped attacking. Even the on-lookers were looking at Jakari with mouth wide open. Soon cheers and applause came from the on-lookers as they admired Jakari’s insane ability to dodge. The young snappers who were defeated earlier cheered loudly for their great master!
“Who is this guy!”
“He must be silver-ranked! What is a silver-ranked adventurer even doing at Lyonhall!”
“He’s plain-looking but his dodging skills make him hot!”
“Master please teach us your ways!” And many more young snappers were gathering around Jakari as they pleaded to him to teach him the ways of being an adventurer and seducing women.
The ice-girl trash was getting extremely angry that her big brother and his friends made Jakari look good instead of teaching him a lesson! “Big brother what are you doing! I didn’t ask you to make him look good, I asked you to teach him a lesson for hurting me!”

“Don’t be stupid! Can’t you see that he’s probably silver-ranked or higher! He’s wasn’t even trying to dodge us seriously! If you want him to face retribution, you will need to make a formal complaint to the guild’s officers.”
The ice-girl trash gritted her teeth as Jakari was going to get away with it. The guild officers wouldn’t punish Jakari at all because many witnesses saw that Jakari was being bullied by the 2 copper ranked and saw her using ice magic to freeze his feet while Jakari did completely nothing to provoke them.
However, all of this positive attention from the people was only making Jakari frown deeply. This predicament was even worse than before! More trash was now paying attention to Jakari and getting in his way! He smoothly ignored the onslaught of questions from the young snappers as he walked his way towards the guildhall. They were so annoying that Jakari wanted to K-O all of them but refrained from doing so because his father told him to never bother with trash. News of a silver-ranked adventurer in Lyonhall was spreading quickly in Lyonhall.
Inside the guildhall, everyone turned their eyes to watch Jakari. The news of him being a possible silver-ranked adventurer in Lyonhall was too catastrophic. The young snappers from earlier had already rushed into the guildhall to spread the news of the silver-ranked adventurer. Almost everyone ignored them until a bronze-ranked adventurer affirmed what they had said. The young snappers may have exaggerated their great master's other exploits as well.
Lyonhall consisted of 40% wood-ranked adventurers, 50% copper-ranked adventurers, and about 10% bronze-ranked adventurers. By the time you reached bronze rank, the monsters and quests are too mind-bogglingly easy for you so many adventurers would often leave Lyonhall at bronze-ranked. Silver-ranked and higher was an extreme rarity in Lyonhall baring the guild-master who was a gold-ranked.
Jakari was super confused on why even more trash than ever before is now getting in his way and paying attention to him. He followed his father’s advice to the best of his ability yet trouble keeps coming to him whether he wanted it or not.
As Jakari lined up for the 4th time in the queue. Everyone in line quickly gave up their place in the queue to let Jakari go first. Suddenly Jakari’s intense frustrations with the trash melted away and now he felt serene. All those trash were knowing their place and letting him go first! They ought to do this from now on. All 10 receptionists were now open and Jakari was free to choose whomever he wanted to serve him. This new treatment for Jakari was making him grin deviously.
Celine now saw Jakari in a new light. She saw him as an average-looking man but his talents and personality were top-notch. A man with great patience and restraint, unlike most arrogant adventurers that like to abuse their powers. She knew that a good man like Jakari would quickly get taken and she was hoping for Jakari to choose her once again.
Jakari was about to go to the half-trash guild receptionist that was Celine but then abruptly remembered what his father would think of him. His father would be sternly disappointed in him for thinking of Celine as half-trash and to make his father proud, he would return back to thinking Celine was trash like the rest of them. Jakari chose the closest guild receptionist for his matters.
Celine felt her heart drop but she didn’t want to give up so easily. She quickly walked over to her fellow guild receptionist who was an elderly man. He gave Celine a toothy smile as he knew she wanted to flirt with this mysterious silver-ranked and gave her his seat.
Jakari couldn’t care less on which guild receptionist was attending to him and asked, “Where is the bakery?”
Celine was stunned at this question but quickly regained her composure that Jakari truly knew nothing about being an adventurer and living in a town. “Why don’t I show you there?”
The other adventurer girls were jealous that a guild-receptionist pulled the rug from underneath them and snatched a silver-ranked guy from them! The young snappers were cheering loudly for their great master Jakari for seducing the impossible Celine.
“K,” replied Jakari as he ignored the chatters amongst everyone in the guildhall.
“Holy balls! Our master had made Celine swoon for him!”
“It only took him 1 day! I want to be like him!”
“So if we get silver-rank we can get women like him,” squeaked a 13-year-old wood-rank young snapper.
“Hey is it alright to let Celine walk off the job like that?” asked the new girl.
Another veteran girl punched her in the shoulder lightly, “Don’t be stupid. We should support Celine in finally finding a suitable man for herself. Now all those idiot kids will stop trying to flirt with her once she has a boyfriend.”
Due to all the commotion in the guildhall, the gold-ranked guild master came out of his office. He approached the receptionists and asked them, “Who is this silver-ranked adventurer I’m hearing about?”
The veteran guild receptionist girl giggled, “He might become Celine’s new boyfriend.”
…
Jakari and Celine were walking towards the bakery. Celine tried talking to Jakari, asking for his name and other background information about himself but Jakari completely ignored her. Celine was now having second doubts about Jakari but squashed them as she tried to rationalize the reasons why he was ignoring her like if he was shy or if he’s a man who doesn’t say many things. Finally it came to her, Celine realized that Jakari was ignoring her to test her level of patience just how she tested his patience early in the day. She was all fired up, ready to defeat the patience test from Jakari.
Celine expected Jakari to hold the bakery door open for her but… one of Jakari’s minions the young snapper was there to open the door for them as he bowed to his great master Jakari.
When they got inside the bakery, the store owner immediately commanded his staff, “Give this silver-ranked anything he requests! Fast!”
The reason why the bakery owner and his staff knew of Jakari was thanks to his minions the young snappers spreading his exploits all over Lyonhall. Jakari was simply super confused on what was going on but if the trash want to make themselves useful to him, he might as well accept all their obedience towards him.
“I want to buy 1 toast,” said Jakari as he held up a copper coin.
If this was anyone else, people would be laughing at his antics but this was the rumor silver-ranked adventurer. Everyone was too afraid to disrespect him.
“Ahh but wouldn’t you want to try my newest cake recipe,” asked the bakery owner as he quickly guided him to the cake for sale.
Jakari didn’t even respond as he didn’t know what was cake. When he saw what the bakery owner was showing him, Jakari thought that fancy thing was toast.
The bakery owner got his staff to happily hand over the most expensive cake on the menu. Jakari took the cake and brought it to a table so he could eat it in peace. Celine quickly sat beside him. Jakari immediately began digging into the cake with his bare hands as he shoved it in his mouth, it was quite delicious, probably the best toast he ever had. Celine was aghast at his manners but quickly blew it off as he probably came from a humble poor family who couldn’t afford any luxuries.
“Can I have a bite?” asked Celine as she looked at him with stary eyes.
