Morning came quickly, too quickly. I struggle out of bed feeling like the world was against me. The sun forced me to open my eyes. The wind blowing hot air at me and to top it off, the tree’s limbs that acted as curtains. Decided to take a day off and curl up in another direction, letting all this shit happen.
One of the slaves groaned in pain, pushing someone’s legs off their back. I ignored the four of them as I stretched. Working out my sore muscles, maybe, I didn’t pick the best method to vent. But it sure did feel good, so that was that.
Taking a slow bath, washing my face, sitting on a lotus to meditate to the morning’s rays, enjoying a blissful hot breakfast, and listening to the quiet sounds of birds chirping. Could the morning be any worse?
Ah, such a sentiment swept out like a storm.
Linda walked in stretching, rubbing one eye with fist. A ragged, holey grey shirt barely covers her upper body. Her lower body was decorated in pants that were cut into the form of shorts. The sad part of it all was that she was the definition of tom-boy. Undeveloped body, so the sight wasn’t all that pleasing but remembering the naughty face she made when I had my way.
Kind of turned me on.
Ha, being seventeen summers is the best time of life.
I gestured at the pillow before the table and she looked down at it in confusion. Dropping roughly onto, her knee prop up, arm around it. It was clear she had never been to eastern restaurant. This was a huge trend for a while. Many nobles still follow this trend and lifestyle.
A female knight walked out in maid outfit, she set down bowls of food with strips of meat, rice, dishes that I couldn’t pronounce the names of. She laid two chopsticks and porcelain bowl plates in front of me.
“Is this normal? To eat with this?” Linda held two sticks in her hands, looking confused.
I smirked and showed her the proper way to hold the chopsticks. While the knight spoon a portion of rice onto our plate, a perfect dome portion.
“Yes, it is very normal.” I replied, reaching out to bring a strip of meat to my plate.
I placed it down and rolled some rice into it, rolling the entire thing before taking a bite out of the end. The flavor of the strip was succulently sweet, so mouthwatering. I think I was crying inside.
Linda looked at me and the knight sigh, secretly passing over a fork. Linda wasn’t one to be down because of her incompetency. She quickly tried to pile food onto her plate but the knight smacked her hand and did it for her.

Ah, rules of nobility can be so cruel.
“Do you guys always eat like this? Such small portions?” Linda looked at my plate, then my body.
Her face darkened and her head snapped back to her plate. Bringing food to her face with gusto.
“Mm, it’s not that we eat small portions. It’s that the food is heavy with purified mana and thus it fills you up faster. Take a few bites then tell me how you feel?” I stop eating to watch her.
Which brought a greater blush to her already tan face. However, she stuffed her face but after seventeen forkfuls. She slowed down. By the twenty-third, she stopped and noticed that she was only ate a small portion of her plate.
“Oh.”
I laughed, “this is why we eat small portions. So we don’t waste food and that others can eat what we cannot.”
I glanced up at Lady Sybell walking in. Her green eyes staring at me with loads of judgement.
“Are you always so loud from dawn to dusk?” Lady Sybell mocked.
She took a seat on the opposite end of the table from me. She sent a glance at Linda before snorting. Picking up a pair of chopsticks as my knight dishes out a portion of rice for her.
“Loud? I was hardly loud. I must say before you slander me, my fair lady. You must be aware of what you are condemning. Now, think, was I loud or were some females making loud noises? Did you really hear my voice or did you hear them?” I touched my chin and tilted my head, staring up at the clouds while jesting.
Lady Sybell's face darken, “Just because you didn’t make any loud vocal noises didn’t mean you weren’t loud doing that.”
Wait, what are we even arguing about?
“Sure, sure.” I drawled, turning to Linda. “Let’s go to your room. I noticed your meridians seemed to be clogged. I’ll help you unclog them then go over how to better control mana in your body.”
I stood up and noticed Linda staring at the bugle in my pants with widened eyes. I glanced down and shrugged.
“I’m a boy. I’m growing. She looks really good in that uniform. Stop judging me.” I threw a thumb at the female knight who bowed her head and smirked.
Linda sent over an envious look after staring at the Knight’s bigger bust, wider hips, and cleaner skin. How smooth it looks, tch.
“Chop chop,” I clapped, moving towards the hallway with heavy gait.
Linda thanked the knight for the food and followed with heavy steps.
“Are my meridians really clogged?” she asked nervously.
“Of course, are you worthy of me lying to you?” I rebuke. “Having clearer meridians will make it easier for you to access your own mana well. Not to mention better control because it's not coming into your hands or spirit in lumps or threads but a controllable amount. All nobles had someone to do this for them from a young age. So you will notice that a lot of your classmates are peak level adepts or higher. While commoners are apprentice to peak level adepts.”
Linda dipped her head, no longer responding. Her body posture might seem like she was embarrassed but she was emitting a lot of happy thoughts. It was like a red flag to my perception.
