"Kill them!" the City Lord said. "Killing such a talent would be a waste. He would make a great disciple," a sudden voice broke out. The guards halted, their gaze filled with uncertainty.
"Elder Calder, please stay out of this. This youth is unstable and disrespectful. You have seen it for yourself. There's no use in grooming this kind of person," the City Lord said, fuming. His eyes were sharp, breathing loud. It was clear he felt humiliated. A mere teenager had forced him to use a Rune. How could that be? Only he knew how powerful that last move was.
The old man's gaze scanned through the crowd, falling on Kleid. He looked ugly, feeling exposed. Desperately wanting to find a hole to hide, he sweated heavily.
"Why are you so scared? You haven't done anything. Have you?" the senior by his side shot him a glance, speaking in a low voice. Kleid's eyes flashed; he quickly calmed himself.
"No, I haven't," he said, smiling back at Elder Calder. "I will be taking my leave now. Mist, take our new friends to the manor," Calder said. A girl stepped out of the crowd, dressed in a noble combat robe. She had long black hair and a well-developed body. Despite her lack of muscle, she effortlessly hoisted Amarok's figure.
"Can you move?" she asked, turning to Neo. "I will be alright," he said, following behind. The City Lord could only stare as their figures departed. Once they were out of sight, his face distorted. Agris was baffled; he knew exactly who that man was. That was the reason he did not say a word. Although he was not particularly fond of Amarok, he did not like the City Lord either.
"I have lost my appetite," Agris said, standing to leave. The Alden City Lord's guard stood up and followed without a word. "Excuse us," Dorn added, leaving with Lyra. Very soon, the hall was almost empty. Only the City Lord stood rooted, his expression icy.
The news rapidly spread like wildfire. The people were shaken once more. It was still about the same brazen youth. This time it was even more astonishing. He had come with his master to pay respect to the City Lord, but everything went south and resulted in a memorable battle.
Amarok's eyes flashed open. Gasping, he gripped into the void. His chest heaved up and down. He found himself in a well-lit room with careful decoration. He immediately stood, rushing out of the room.

His whole body was covered in bandages, and he wore a white pajama-like dress. Soon he arrived in the courtyard, where two people were seated facing each other.
"I am immensely grateful for your help, Elder Calder. We will definitely repay you for this favor," Neo said. "No need. By my side, you wouldn't have to fear the City Lord anymore," Calder said, sipping his tea. Neo halted his cup before his lips.
"We don't want to abuse Elder's hospitality. We will be leaving immediately after Amarok can walk," he continued after a short pause. "The City Lord is not weak, you know. Rethink your decision. You have already offended so many people here," Calder continued unperturbed. Neo's eyes flashed with dissatisfaction.
"Then we might have to disturb Elder for the next two months," Neo said after a pause. "Well, call me Calder; we are going to stay together for some time. Who knows, you might even like it and decide to prolong it," Calder said, full of smiles. The atmosphere was serene, but one could feel a lot of unspoken words. Basking under the sun, the two parties sipped tea.
"Master, you survived," Amarok rushed towards them. "Survived?" Neo lifted an eyebrow. "You didn't expect me to?" Neo asked, a little annoyed. Calder laughed out loud at Amarok's words; he was pretty proud his instinct never failed him. Amarok was indeed special. The first thing he did was rushing to find his master, disregarding his own state.
"No, I mean...never mind. I'm happy you are alive," Amarok said, relieved. He felt like a stone was lifted from his heart. "I'm not as weak as you," Neo said. Amarok was fast approaching when suddenly his body halted. "You're not fully recovered. you should stay in bed " an annoyed voice Rang out.
Amarok turned. Mist's charging face was directly next to him. She was close, very close; he could clearly see all the details of her face. Her curvy body looked even more amazing. "Do I know you?" he blinked.
"No, and you don't. Now follow me," she pulled Amarok by the collar, wanting to drag him back. His eyes shot wide open; he tried resisting but could, making the scene quite awkward.
"Crazy woman, let me go!" he shouted, seeing he could free himself. Mist turned, shooting icy stares at him. "Master!" he cried in Neo's direction, but Neo raised his tas, hiding his expression. Amarok was speechless.
"The Golden Seasons exam has started. Why don't we give it a try? What do you think, Mist?" Calder suddenly said. Mist halted her steps. That was the only reason they left the comfort of Alden City for this city, if it could even be considered one.
"Master is right. Few minutes, just allow me to tie him inside," she said, continuing to move, dragging Amarok once more with her. Amarok was baffled; from which planet was she coming from?
"Let him tag along. You can tie him later when we get back," Calder added. "Elder Calder is right. He desperately wanted to participate, but in his state, all he can do is observe. You can do whatever you want once we return," Neo commented. "Wait a second, who are we speaking about?" Amarok's eyes were blank, a question mark literally hanging over his head.
