I said in serious tone taking her attention towards me.
"What's the matter ?"
She replied calmly seeing her calm I calmed down. And brought out caracass with holes in it.
"See this! While I was done searching for herbs I was going to get back but was attacked by fleeing vampiric squirrels so I had defend myself and they ignored me, but I slashed at them from behind and killed them after that I decided to look for reason they were fleeing I could only see tunnels in ground and monsters like this. And tunnels were huge wider then I am tall."
I said explaining everything as briefly as possible I admitted killing two as I had to somehow explain my level ups. I said I finished of more injured monsters and leveled up, I could see surprised expression appear on her face.
"It's likely group of giant forest worms."
I concluded my explanation with grim tone.
"That does seems to be case, I will report it to guild master and he will decide what to do next, you can submit your quest to somebody else."
Saying that she left hurriedly and I also turned towards the receptionist on the counter next to Risa's she was also listening to us, so she quickly proceeded my quest reward and rewards for the materials from monsters I got I got 1 silver and 80 coppers.
As it was still just early afternoon I decided to visit guild training grounds first I observed mages they were using all sorts of spells, I couldn't see how they manipulating mana to do long range attack , I wanted to know I I could already do basic water make spell from drinking water and ember to lit the spell but I can't maintain any spell that is 2 meters away from me.
I tried observing them but due to not have any way to see mana in their spells, I approached one of mages who was getting ready for his training.
"Mr mage, could I ask you something?"
I asked in polite tone, he turned towards me and looked at me.
"What can I do for you little lady?"
He asked in pleasent voice, I was taken back at his polite speech, Adventurers are famous for their rough demeanor and language so I was momentarily amazed.
"I would like to ask you something about long distance attack spells, would that be alright?"
I asked in same polite tone as before he looked at me for second then his gaze shifted towards my sword.
"Are you not swordsmen miss?"
He asked in same tone as before but I could see he found our talk annoying so as not to annoy him.

I chanted in low voice and ember of fire appeared in my hand I was able to do this much even before I awakened status so you could say I was quite talented. He was surprised as I looked little younger then my age.

"No I been practicing magic since before awakening and I was able to do basic things such as making drinkable water and producing ember only useful as lighter."

I asked in hopefull tone, I wanted to know reason why after trying so many times I couldn't perform any long ranges spells, I was hoping to find reason for that as I have read all magic related books in this cities library though it was library for common people.
"It's quite simple you will only need three skills to become mage 1st skill you have already the mana control, 2nd is Mana emission, combining these two skills you can cast spells but to become effective mage you will need 3rd skill to counter spells of other mages it's called mana sight."
He explained in great detailes I listened with rapt attention as not to miss any important bits.
"How to gain this two skills master?"
I said without thinking much, as he was teaching me he was my teacher. I could see he was surprised but he still replied calmly.
"It's quite easy actually you have to concentrate mana in you eyes with your control it shouldn't be too hard to gain mana sight skill, and to learn Mana emission skill you have to use your mana control and spread mana out of your body your will is the key."
He explained and even showed me demonstration I was amazed .

After seeing I was trying to gain skill he was about to leave

I bowed and thanked him sincerely, he smiled and waved his hand and left the perimeter to me.
After that I concentrated in mana in my body and used mana control to force as much mana from my body and spread it all around me, after seeing I wasn't gaining Mana emission I decided to trying to will my mana in one direction and I heard ding.

After seeing that I have gained the skill I decided to learn Mana sight skill. I slowly willed my mana to my eyes in specific way master had showed me it was eaier then learning mana emission. When I was done I heard sound ones more.

After that I practiced well into evening and my skills improved at the astounding rate. At the end of evening I got up and wiped out sweat from my temple I was panting but smile was on my face as I looked at my progress.

I was honestly surprised at my growth but I wasn't complaining.
After analysing my growth I entered guild area with receptionist counter it was fairly crowded around the request board so I squizzed myself in the crowd to see what's the matter, when I arrived out of crowd in front of request board on F-rank and E-ranked request board notice was written in big words.
[All E-rankers and F-rankers are forbidden from going to forest for any reason as it is possible lair of giant forest worms out even 5 km away from our city so stay out of southern forest of city. Next week A-ranked party will deal with them. Repeat presence of Giant forest worms were confirmed.

It practically bans lower ranked Adventurers from entering their nearest hunting ground, while thinking how to proceed I made my way to my inn I entered my room and after freshening up I laid on my bed, after while I decided to not go hunting and instead take small odd job quest until next week to save as much money as possible while continuing my magical practice along with storing city for intresting places, now that my activities for tomorrow was I decided to sleep for night.
