Just to preface this afterword. My rating has really plummeted recently and I really need more reviews/ratings so I can continue this novel—otherwise, I may have to discontinue it.

Hi everyone, thanks for reading the first volume of Academy of Grinding. I can’t express my appreciation for you supporting me through my novel!
I’m a big fan of afterwords like these since I like to be able to talk to my readers as each book concludes. I made an author’s note a few days ago that I didn’t really want to make, but nevertheless, we have finally reached the end of the first volume.
I’ve got a few things to cover in this afterword, so bear with me~!
Firstly, I’ve received plenty of feedback that the pacing is too slow. That will be my main priority in the next volume! It will be filled with much more action, exams and exciting stuff.
In particular, there will be battle royal-like duels and special exams! We haven’t seen any students from the 1st generation of the Ideal Human Project (aside from Akira), but they will be introduced and they’re unlike anyone you’ve seen so far.
Akira will also talk with Hiroto for the first time. As such, he sees into some of the background of the school and regains some fractured memories of his past (during Tia’s time).
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
Anyway, I don’t want to reveal too many spoilers for the next chapter.
Onto other business, I’ll be wanting to publish a physical and digital copy of the novel! This will probably be on Amazon Kindle and whatever physical publishing service I decide on. I’ll give you more details once everything’s finalised, but be aware of that!
I don’t want to drag this out too long, so I’ll leave my last words.
Thank you very much for reading and I hope you all continue into the future. I’m always listening to advice so hopefully you’ll see the writing quality increase~
If you’re really enjoying it, it would mean a lot to me if you could support me on Patreon. I recently graduated high school and now I’m suffering the pain of living in the heart of Melbourne’s business district out of my own pocket.
I don’t want to look like I’m begging for sympathy but I might as well share my life story here. I’ve worked part-time ever since I was 15 years old and saved up every cent so I could move out~ (I also did a lot of writing). Now I’m still working and running various businesses (to various degrees of success) to try to live on my own.
Rent is a hella pain out here ($350 per week), and I also have to balance time to do coursework and homework for my Biomedicine Degree.
Please only support me if you genuinely want to, I don’t want to guilt you into it~~!
Anyway, I’ll probably take a few days to write out the first few chapters of volume 2. I’ll be posting them every day on Patreon, until I actually manage to fill out my backlog (ahhh).
Until then, I await your return~
We’ll experience Akira’s life together, and maybe find out the truth to his tragedy and the reason for… everything.

Dear Akira,
Thank you for making me feel so welcome in this new city. I’m glad I met you and I hope we can have more fun together! <3
Lots of kisses,
Tiana
I wish I could’ve given that to you.
I guess fate brings together people who were never meant to be.
