Chapter 6 - The Best Service

Chapter 6 - The Best Service

On the dirt path towards Molip town, a young man with a small backpack was walking slowly towards the town. Not only the young man, but there were also many other people walking to and from Molip town. They were either adventurers, beast tamer, merchants or farmers.

For merchants, Hanz could see the wagons pulled by the horse or whatever beast the merchant had to replace the horse with many products, items, or materials in the wagon. For farmers, they were pulling a wagon too but inside the wagon were mostly vegetables or fruits.

As for adventurers, Hanz could meet them walking on the dirt path as well as saw them fighting at the prairie from the dirt path. They usually did not bring many things with them. However, it was easy to recognize them because they wore protective gear and brought along with them weapons such as swords, spears, arrows, and many more.

As for beast tamer, Hanz could also meet them walking alongside their beast on the dirt part as well as saw them fighting at the prairie. The only difference between the beast tamer and the adventurer was the beast and it was easy to recognize them.

It was not like Hanz never met a beast tamer in his life because there were quite a lot of them in Molip town and whenever Hanz went to the town to sell the radish, he would see them. He did not feel awe or anything like that before but now, the situation was a bit different.

“Oo~ that is the drill ostrich! Wow~ is that kicking rabbit!! Wait! No way!! Is that emerald horn bull??” Since Hanz was now set to become a beast tamer, he was looking forward to choosing his first beast. So, he was excited to see the different kinds of beast he saw from the many beast tamer he met on the way to Molip town.

While walking on the dirt path, he saw three adventurers at the prairie fighting a small white rabbit. Hanz stopped for a bit to see the fight because he wanted to waste some time. He departed too early and the shop in Molip town was still closed and he would reach the town in 15 minutes as such, he decided to see the fight.

If Beazion was a normal world, three fully-equipped adult adventurers fighting a small rabbit was a bit ridiculous. Nonetheless, Beazion was not normal and the rabbit the adventurer was fighting was not normal either but a beast.

Two of the adventurers had a short sword with them and they struck the white rabbit without reservation while the other adventurer used her bow to attack the rabbit from further away. However, their attacks were easily dodged by the nimble and fast white rabbit.

The adventurer looked annoyed as the rabbit kept dodging their attacks. “Why do they look annoyed at the rabbit? Because of that their attack rhythm starts crumbling too. I know they might get annoyed at the rabbit but they need to be more patient,” said Hanz.

“Hahaha, you should see it properly kid. Not that they want to be like that but the rabbit is taunting them,” suddenly, a man’s voice came from behind him. Hanz was shocked. He looked at the man and he knew that the man was not a normal person.

The man’s clothes looked freaking expensive and the way he stood exudes the sense of superiority. There was also an emblem of some species of bird on his shirt. He did not wear any armor or anything but Hanz could feel that the man was strong. “A noble?” thought Hanz.

“The rabbit is making a mocking face at them and that annoys them a lot,” said the man. Hanz looked at the fight again. He felt like the noble was not there to harm him so he was not alert or scared of the man.

“Urm… I cannot see it…” thought Hanz. The fights were quite far from him and he could not see the rabbit properly. “This man’s eyesight must be good or he enhanced them with a skill,” thought Hanz again while glancing at the man.

The two of them watched the fight without saying anything and the fight ended with the white rabbit winning. The white rabbit won but it did not kill the three adventurers and they looked madly at the rabbit.

“Hmph! These three guys are not good either. I thought they would rebound back but they got led by the rabbit until the end,” the man suddenly said and Hanz saw the man’s disappointed face. “Kid, if you are going to become an adventurer, the fight just now is a good example for you.”

After that, the man walked towards the prairie calmly leaving Hanz by himself at the side of the dirt path. “… Hmm… it is a good example if I want to become an adventurer but I am a beast tamer,” thought Hanz. He did not say it out loud because he was afraid the man enhanced his hearing too.

Looking at the man’s disappointing face earlier, Hanz could guess that he was there to recruit some people. Maybe to work for him or nobles that the man was serving. Hanz knew that the man was part of the noble’s circle because of the bird emblem but he did not know if the man was the noble himself or just serving them.

The way he easily talked to Hanz made him think that he was working with nobles. However, some nobles did not mind their status and mingled with commoners like they were of the same status. So, it was also highly likely that the man himself was a noble.

Hanz rarely met a noble but he knew their quirk from the mouth of other people. He knew that most of them were snobs. They were arrogant, always looking down on commoners, beating commoners without a care and did many more bad things. However, not all of them like that. There were some good ones among them.

“I guess I am lucky to meet the good one,” thought Hanz and he continued towards Molip town. Milik village and Molip town were located in zone 22, the rabbit prairie. Rabbit prairie was a rank zero area and thus, the strongest beast that could be found was rank zero.

Just as the name implied, the rabbit prairie was filled with rabbit beasts. There were some other species of beast but the most common one was the rabbit. Rank zero was the weakest rank a beast could have and thus, zone 22, the rabbit prairie was one of the safest zones in the Mirmo Empire.

Was it possible for a higher rank beast to be available in the rabbit prairie? The answer was no. It was the rule of the world, Beazion. The Mirmo empire was built by combining the many planes floating in space by the founder, the first emperor of the empire. Not only the Mirmo empire but other kingdoms and empires in Beazion were the same.

Each plane in the space had its rank and characteristics. That was the rule of the plane. Anything that was not within the rules would not be able to enter the plane. Thus, rabbit prairies that used to be a plane with rank zero rule would not have a beast that was above the rank zero.

Hanz continued traveling towards Molip town and around fifteen minutes later, he could see the town’s defensive stone wall. On top of the wall, Hanz could see the town’s guard walking and observing the surroundings of the town.

Following the dirt path, Hanz finally saw the town’s gate. At the gate, a few more guards were guarding the gate by checking the people that were coming in and out of the town. That was a normal procedure to make sure that no criminal was trying to enter the town secretly.

Hanz lined up with other people waiting to enter the town. A few minutes later, it was his turn. He showed his identity card and put his hand on a big orb to check if he had any criminal records. Hanz passed it with flying colors. Once all of that was done, Hanz entered Molip town.

He walked through the gate and met with many buildings inside. The building in the town was not that high. The highest buildings were 4 stories that stood at a height of around 12 meters. Other than that, the buildings varied from 3 storey to 2 story buildings.

The shop had started opening one by one and the street started bustling with people. ‘Kruk, Kruk.’ Hanz touched his grumbling stomach. “Urm, I guess I eat too little this morning,” Hanz looked around to find something to eat. He found a bakery and bought some bread.

Hanz walked around while eating the bread. He was looking for a shop to sell the special dimension skill orb. He needed the money to buy some new clothes, a storage ring, beast and many more. Since there was no auction hall in Molip town, he could not auction the skill orb.

The special dimension skill orb would usually be auctioned rather than sold in a normal shop. The reason was because they were precious and rare. It could not be sold normally. However, Hanz had no other choice but to do that because he needed the money quickly.

Hanz asked around to find some information about the most trusted skill orb shop in the town. He wanted to sell something that precious and thus, he needed to be careful. It was fine if he was cheated on but it would be dangerous if he was attacked because of the skill orb.

After asking around for a bit, he found the shop he wanted to sell the skill orb. However, he made some modifications to his plan. Rather than selling the special dimension skill orb, he decided to sell the taming and item storage skill orb. The two skill orbs were common and his safety would be guaranteed.

“Molly store… this is it,” Hanz looked at the store sign. The Molly store was the biggest skill orb store in the town. Due to its great service, the store became the go-to for many adventurers and beast tamers to get skill orbs in Molip town.

Rumors were floating around too that the store was owned by the daughter of the town’s mayor and thus, no one would try to cause trouble there, and thus, the shop was safe.

“I guess either the rumor is true or the store is successful,” thought Hanz while he looked at the 4 story building. Many people were coming in and out of the store and Hanz could see that most of them were adventurers.

Looking at the adventurer attires, Hanz seriously needed to buy new clothes. “I look out of place here…” Hanz frowned. He attracted a lot of attention too while he stood in front of the store. After that, Hanz entered the store.

“Welcome! Is this your first time here? How may I help you?” One of the store attendants greeted Hanz cheerfully and asked Hanz of his business. The girl showed a sweet smile towards Hanz but Hanz knew that the smile was not sincere. It was a popular business smile. Not that he minded it.

“I want to sell skill orbs,” Hanz immediately got to business. He did not want to spend much time in the store. The faster he settled his business the better it would be.

“What skill orbs are you selling?” The store attendant asked. Hanz took out the taming and item storage skill orbs and handed them to the girl. “Please wait a minute, we need to appraise this first,” said the store attendant while smiling. The girl left to appraise the skill orb.

“I guess she is just a normal girl working here,” thought Hanz because it was easy to appraise the skill orb with ‘the system’ skill. A few minutes later, the girl came back and handed Hanz a white card.

The white card was a special storage item that could only store coins. Since it was impossible to carry billions of coins around, the white card was created. At the top side of the white card, Hanz could see 5 billion coins were written there indicating the number of coins inside the white card.

“Please stamp your blood on the card to mark this card as yours,” said the girl, and Hanz bit his thumb and stamp his blood on the white card. The blood entered the white card and disappeared. “Now, this card is yours.”

“The price for the item storage skill orb and taming skill orb are 2.5 billion and 5 billion coins respectively. However, we will only buy the skill orb at 80% their normal price and thus, you will only get 6 billion coins. We use one billion coins for this white card and thus, you only get 5 billion coins,” said the girls while smiling.

Hanz nodded. He knew about it long ago. That was common knowledge. He was satisfied with the money he got but he was a bit dissatisfied that the shop just assumed him to not have the white card and used his money without his permission. He indeed did not have the white card but they could at least ask him first.

“This is a good service,” thought Hanz sarcastically. He did not dare to say anything because he was powerless. He could only endure it. “Urm… I want to buy the system skill orb,” said Hanz. Since he used the one Juin left for him, he needed to buy another one.

The store attendant took the white card from Hanz’s hand forcefully and transferred 1 billion coins to the shop’s white card. After that, she gave Hanz ‘the system’ skill orb. Hanz was speechless.

“Yes, the best service in this town,” he felt like the townspeople cheated him.
