26 Statues and Regalia II

26 Statues and Regalia II

As a man attempts to become friends with a spider creature and a spider creature attempts to have diplomatic talks with a man, another group of people have made their way down into the tomb/armory/hallway.

The construct is finished, although that does not mean that the room it built is. A far larger repository will exist at some point, should this place ever meet its final form. Instead, there is just a limited amount of magically enhanced artifacts clasped in, held by, worn or nestled in the various statues in this room; Truly the hardships these people have to deal with, not that they're complaining, mind you.

In addition to the human woman holding an orb, the foxman wearing armor and the merman, now wearing several rings, three other statues have been created.

In short order,

A three eyed bipedal creature with very long limbs with bracers as Regalia,

A bulky carapaced creature with four legs and multiple arms with a plant growing from its back as Regalia,

Lastly, a human-like creature, slightly furred, sitting in the lotus position with a metallic cat as Regalia, the cat nestled in its lap.

Now all these objects have their own requirements, openly shared among the people there

10 accurate predictions in a row for the orb,

10 people protected for the armor,

10 concepts introduced for the rings,

10 lands called forth for the bracers,

10 generations of trees grown for the plant,

10 new friends made for the metallic cat

Various reactions were had to these discoveries.

The amnesiac archmage simply smiled, gears turning in her head as she considers each artifact. Who will carry it? What are the likely abilities, which one will be taken first? Which one will she take? What are the exact specifications?

And although she lacks the arcane knowledge from her former life, her mind is still as sharp as before, and answers slowly bubble up.

The Knight is standing in front of the armor, considering whether she has made progress. Did she protect Refugee from the spider? Did her taking on two of the tendril monsters while Shepherd was turned away count? No. Even if the armor counts them, she doesn't.

Still she desires the comfort of a proper suit of armor around her, right now she feels naked, even with her pauldrons.

Shepherd is standing near the plant. A reverence has taken hold of him that he has rarely shown before. The idea of a plant growing from his body is somewhat off-putting, but at the same time, there is a deep religiosity to it. For all he knows he'll just obtain a plant, and that'll be the end of it; Somewhere he knows that will not be the case. He resolves then and there to obtain it and says so.

"I would like this one."

In a similarly surprisingly respectful voice.

The former archmage smiles as she changes the most likely answer to one of her questions.

Recluse is slightly panicked as he realizes that these strange objects are being divided. He doesn't feel any specific one of these calling to him, in the same way Knight and Shepherd have been staring at theirs for a while now. So instead he goes for what is easiest, to him. The cat, cute and asleep in the lap of a statue. Friendship always came easy to him, and especially here, it should work out. He doesn't call out dibs like Shepherd did, even if it was respectful. He simply considers the cat in front of him, and the people around him.

Astronaut feels the call of the bracers. The idea of seeing far-off worlds had gripped her long ago. It's why she arrived here. Probably. And now to continue her voyage by adding new lands to this world? By calling forth these new realities herself? That would be the best path to fulfill her dreams.

And if the Refugee were there, he would rattle off a few concepts, like he introduced hunger and thirst to this world by accident, and claim the rings. But he isn't here.

Although he is approaching with the enormous spider… with the Weaver in tow. Having come to some form of understanding.

Hungry for more wonders held by this world.
