A True Queen's Life
Vampires and Elves?

Vampires and Elves?

How annoying.  I had to reveal myself.  Well it's not like I really had a choice, there was milk at stake!  Ugh either way I am pretty impressed with that guard, not many people would challenge a vampire like that, especially not a guard without any magic weapons.  Well either way what's done is done.  I can, at least, have a little giggle at the fact that the village is probable preparing for me to come back and slaughter them... it's not like I would... really, I wish humans would realize that not every vampire exists to kill, well I mean I don't, I cant say the same about any other vampire... actually I can... they would have slaughtered the village...

"Damn you other vampires for ruining my good name and preventing me from drinking my milk!"... did I say that out loud?  Oh I did.  And something is coming... well, I guess I should hide now.

As I jump into a nearby tree, resting on a branch, I use my natural vampire ability to become nearly invisible, vampires are quite good at deception you know.  As I look in the direction of the noise I listen to what it could be, hopefully it's not shadow hunters... I clench my fist in rage, the very thought of him manages to slip my concentration and a bit of my bloodlust is released.  Whoops

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was able to escape my cage, luckily it wasn't prepared for someone like me.  I've run for a few minutes already directly away from the bandit's, or whatever they are, camp.  My muscles are already burning, as an elf I've never actually had to run this hard.  I can hear the bandits close behind me.
"Here elfy elfy elfy" one says
"She's not a dog... she's a mutt" says another, the bastard
"Ha! right" the bandits toss the conversation back and forth
I am just about to run onto the road when an overwhelming sense of danger overcomes me.  I froze, too scared to move, too scared to think.  Just as quickly as it appears it vanishes.  I would have questioned if it was ever there to begin with, if not for the shiver running down my spine.
I hear the bandits close behind, whatever that was clearly didn't affect them, strange.  Or maybe they didn't feel it.  Either way looks like I'm not going to make it any further as I cross the road and wait.  Whatever awaits me for going with them would be worse than death, and my life up to now really isn't worth returning to.  I may as well turn and fight... and die.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"There she is!" one of the bandits say.  Shortly after 3 hulking brutes, well I guess they weren't hulking they were actually pretty average... it's just being short can change your perspective, entered onto the road across from me, about 10 feet away from where I stand.
"How did you get out of your cage" the leader asks accusingly, as if my running put such a burden on him that he took offence "well no matter, you're going back in either way"
One of the goons on the side, the one I nicknamed bastard, advances, casually, as if knowing that no matter what I do I wouldn't get away.  Since running is pointless and his guard is down, I might as well try to take one with me.  I haven't done this in a while, let's see if I remember how.  I hold my hand out and chant "Co-Si-Ra" as a blue glow illuminates from my palms.
"Watch out she's using magic!" the leader calls out, just a second too late.
"Wha?" the bastard, asks questioningly, the leader's words distracting him from me further.  Too bad for him.  As the blue light extends into a beam.  This beam quickly advances through the air, then through the man's eye, then the rest of his head, then back into the air before dissipating.  That one spell, enough to drain nearly all my mana, U really am weak, you were right mother... as always.  I exhale deeply, giving up as a few beads of sweat start to roll down my forehead.  I am trying not to look at what I have just done--this is the first time, and last I guess, that I took a like--as I hear his body collapse to the ground, lifeless.
"You bitch!" says the leader angrily
"Boss, she's out of mana, the magic freak is defenceless"
"You're right, look freak I was gonna sell you to some slaver, but no self-respecting slaver buys freaks with magic like you sooooo I'm gonna have to kill you..." he says threateningly as he advances, weapon drawn.
AN - Second chapter done.  Let me know about any grammatical errors and make sure to comment what you think, this chapter took a loooong time as I had to type it twice because I couldn't copy and paste, whatever.  I will post at least one chapter tomorrow, probably more.  Thanks.
