A Tale of Two Worlds ii : Cursed Wheel

Chapter x : Dragon Maiden

"Melissa, huh." I said to the wind. The fire inside my tent could no longer suffice for I still feel the cold outside. She does know everything about Melissa and me. And about Alexandria...

It pains me to think that Alexandria is still hoping to see me when I'm right here, playing knight. It's been nine years here and there, only four months. Just.... And Cyrdiel... I cheated her. Will Alexandria even forgive me? Will I ever see her again?

Or was this all a dream? Do I even exist? Is anything real? I took my mail off together with my inner shirt. I could still feel the cut that I got from Haldren when he pushed me away from the witc with his sword. I still hear his voice echoing from that day. "Stay away from Osniton!"

"I'm not sure if we should really do this. I see nothing wrong with Lorice ruling Osniton. The city has even prospered ever since she sat on the throne." Whilim said as he drank his cup of wine and then placed it back on the round table. An elf with long green hair and yellow eyes. A very great tactician who joined the Dragon Slayers after we took the town Elfenskye.

"And Lord Norwind, we are up against a witch." Geftar, a man of his thirties who has a long forked beard and dark eyes said. He and his army joined the Dragon Slayers after the fall of their great city, Suj Keriam.

"Not just any witch." Theresa, a girl of twenty. A priestess of the Lost Gods who joined... or should I say, we adopted. "She is the Goddess Lorice."

"I've seen Gods killed by Sam and Dean a few times." Cyrdiel, or should I say, Melissa said as she smiled. "There's no backing down now. We are fifty to sixty thousand strong. We have the knights, archers, squires, arrow fodders, weapons, ammunition and the food that we needed. We can win this war." Melissa looked at me. The reflection in her eyes was still the same. Upside down. "Norwind sacked your cities with what? A hundred men? And now you doubt him? Just because of this little bitchy witch?"

"Watch your tongue, Alswell." Theresa said. "You cannot talk to Lorice like that. She saved your ancestors. OUR ancestors."

"Yeah, yeah, from the 'Walking Dead'-like plaque that destroyed the Forgotten World. I know. I've done my homework." Everyone looked at her, not understanding her references. "You guys have been following Norwind now for, like, a year? And you're gonna doubt him now? That underground ambush on Dreamfield? Who's idea was that?"

Whilim and Melissa had eye contact for a second and then Whilim averted his eyes. "Norwind trusted you that that operation won't fail. No matter how impossible it was, he was the only one who believed in you. And then it failed. Who was it who turned the tables around? Isn't it Norwind?"

Melissa then turned her red eyes to Gefter. "Who freed the Free Men at Suj Keriam? Who removed you and your army from being the puppet of Lord Perceival? Wasn't it Norwind?"

Lastly, it was the priestess turn. But Melissa just looked at her. "You are eating and drinking on the same table with him. And do you know why? Out of the sixty thousand men that follows him, you three are the one's whom he trusted the most. And what will you guys pay him back? Doubt? Come on. He saved your assbutts and he tells you he wants the castle of his uncle back and you say no to him. That's just stupid. You owe him your pathetic lives. Might as well pay it in full."

....

..

.

"That's a nice speech." I said as I felt the wind kissed my hair. The snow also started to fall. "You convinced them all to continue marching to Osniton."

Cyrdiel giggled. Her red eyes became blood colour when it was illuminated by the Forgotten World and the moon next to it. "You know that I'll do anything for you." She said as she held my hand.

I let go of it quickly. "No... we can't." I said I stopped walking.

"Why? You already cheated Alexandria with me. Or this girl. Or us. Well, basically, my memories and Cyrdiel's merged and is basically one person right now. And to be honest, I am kinda pissed to know the truth about you. You told me, Cyrdiel, that it is only I that you love."

"I'm sorry." Was the only thing that I can say.

"It's fine. Now I'm gonna show you something." Cyrdiel smiled.

 "Okay, what."

Cyrdiel closed her eyes, and then her body illuminated. A glow of gold. And then, dragon wings emerged from her back. The darkness of the night was illuminated by Cyrdiel's golden wings.

"I can't go full dragon here because I don't want anyone to see your secret weapon."

 "You're...."

"A shapeshifter. It runs in Cyrdiel's blood. It's just that, she doesn't know what a dragon looks like. She only read the books and has a bad imagination. She tried transforming to it a few times and failed miserably."

"I see." Was all I could manage as I am still amazed by what I saw. That's when I heard noises on my back. I drew my longsword as I turned around. And there, I saw something that doesn't make any sense.

A girl about ten to thirteen years-old who's wearing a black trench coat with a black red shirt and white shorts. On her head was a red flat cap and on her hand was a floating fireball. Next to her was the famous Purple Haired Hunter, holding a..... lightsaber? And what amused me the most was the boy who's holding an AK-47.

"What in the seven hells are you doing here, Albert?"
