Despite the desert being so vast, there were little to no life forms whatsoever. No insects, no animals(Except for the birds), no nothing. He started to worry if this was a curse by the Sha'rians. The longer he spent in the desert, the more superstitious he became. It also had to do with his ancestors. His grandparents were Sha'rians and as a kid, Frank was taught Sha'rian religious practices until their parents divorced that is, so that also factored in. The area he had to patrol was rather large. He had to patrol the entirety of the right side of the outpost and very far from it too. Anyhow, he shrugged his nervousness of bad omen off and kept patrolling. After a few minutes, he started to feel thirsty again but this time he had his water bottle with him. His recovery from the trauma he got from his brain injury was immaculate. He felt happier than ever! As Frank drank his water bottle he saw something strange in the distance. Something out of place. There were high amounts of dust seemingly travelling in a straight line. Frank took out his binoculars to take a closer look to make sure that he wasn't hallucinating again. He didn't to suffer again. He zoomed in on the binoculars. What he saw though terrified him to his core. It was an enemy convoy of vehicles coming their way! This time it wasn't a mirage or a hallucination! Frank ran to his camp as quickly as he could. He sprinted as fast as he possibly could, tiring his legs that had already gone through the tiring patrol. Although it seemed that he was too late. His radio was dead so he couldn't do much with it so Frank desperately yelled.
"Convoy coming! CONVOY COMING!!!", but no one heard.
So he shot up a flare into the sky which the soldiers at the camp seemed to have noticed. Soon enough he saw explosions in the distance and bullets zipping through the battlefield. Then, jets flew in and fired missiles. The shockwave threw Frank to the ground. The explosions were deafening. He felt panicked wondering whether he'd screwed up or not. When Frank arrived at camp, it was an absolute massacre. Tanks ploughed through bodies, Pieces of bodies and organs splashed up into the air as they exploded and mixed in with the sand. Huge clouds of dust of sand were flung up into the air getting into the eyes and covering the soldiers in sand making it impossible to even see. They weren't prepared and didn't have their helmets with built-in gas masks on. It was not looking good in the slightest. But Frank stopped panicking and took out his rifle and tried his best to fend off but there were just too many enemies. He took out some Sha'rian soldiers behind some covers. He saw the water tanks had been exploded. All their rigorous hard work put into making the outpost had been lost. When he tried to run he could feel his boots slipping on the pool of blood that he'd been standing on. Then, he tripped on the corpse of a dead Quadaric soldier and fell hard onto the ground of blood. Realising that he might trip again, he slowly ran away to hide behind some covers to keep defending himself. Then, uh oh, Frank saw a wall of sand in the distance.

"A sandstorm!", he thought to himself.
Then, he started rescuing any survivors of the initial attack as he knew that defending the outpost was a lost cause. He yelled at the medics to get the injured soldiers on the trucks to a nearby base, as the sandstorm enveloped them, the wind making it hard to stand still. Meanwhile, Col. Alberton was struggling to sustain himself from his injuries and just when he thought it couldn't get any worse enemy soldiers barged into his hiding place and took him into custody. The soldiers were Alarics. It seemed that this attack was an Allied effort. They tied his hands and dragged him out. When Frank saw this, he immediately rushed as fast as he could rescue Col. Alberton but he unfortunately got knocked out by enemy soldiers and was captured trying to do so. This attack would later be called 'The Attack of Agnes Outpost'. It was a hard-fought battle with both sides losing heavy amounts of casualties. The fighting was intense and fierce but soon enough, the gunfire slowed down and the explosions came to a halt. After some hours the battle was over.
