Petition to the Sea Orcs

Petition to the Sea Orcs

Theria portaled to the Free Orc City of the Sea Orcs while the Army worked on upgrading the Fire Orc City defences. Theria asked the Shaman leaders if they could spare extra Shaman to take on the role of onboard ship communications; this would free up the Great Orcs to assist with communication among the Kobold villages on the Dead Continent and perhaps the Dwarven communities if they were interested. At the same time, Theria opened a portal so additional supplies for the Army from Big Bear could be brought through and stored at the Sea Orc City, including extra wood to help the Sea Orcs to double their shipbuilding plans for two longships being ready by the end of January.

The Orc Shaman Council of the Sea Orcs was in session for some time debating the issues, they felt there weren't enough Sea Orc Shaman to accept the request, but they made a counter offer six, one for each of the Navy Carrocks. Theria accepted the offer and made portals to enable the crew changes to happen that day and left the six replaced Great Orc Shamans at Far Bear. So they could make contact with the neighbouring kobold communities that wanted a Great Orc Shaman present. A delegation of 20 Koboids from the Dead Continent villages who were interested in joining the navy were waiting at Far Bear, and Theria agreed to them visiting the Sea Orc Free City to assist in crewing 10 per longship. The Sea Orc's also asked for sail materials, and Theria opened a portal to Jade City where large Sail Clothe was available, which was then imported. Then Theria opened a portal to Big Bear and asked Gris if she could help. She offered to make Walrus skin storm sails with enchanted thread holding them together. The Walrus Skin Sails should be more resilient for sailing in storms than standard clothes sails, enabling both the longships to sail in stormy seas. Gris agreed to have the sails ready for the end of January.

Theria visited the river, paddled in it, and released her force of nature storm surge into the waters and blessed the stream. The small fishes that swam in the river grew into large Salmon and they seemed friendly and appeared to multiply the longer she continued to bless the river. Out of the river, a seaweed was transformed into a soultree formed at the harbour entrance to the river, the large blue tree grew thick and tall and had a blue tint to it, and it appeared to radiate a glow that covered the whole City. Theria was expecting so much change, but she remained in the river and continued to bless it. The harbour area changed as she continued to bless the river it spread, and an underwater twin city appeared; populations of merfolk, giant fishes, sirens, giant crabs, giant turtles and sea sprites appeared in the houses with masses of red kelp like grass growing around along the deepening and widening river. A whole ecosystem to complementing the Free Sea Orc City, and Theria visited the underwater denizens and they welcomed her and were delighted to be a created blessing from the Valar. The Sea Elves present marvelled at what was happening and was delighted to see the works of Ulmo, Lord of Waters. A loud trumpeting was heard from the conches shell calls of Ulmo, and its deep note vibrated throughout Ur. Many in the lands would now grow sea-hungry and feel the call of the sea. A deep magic work was done that day, and many gifts of the sea washed up with rare flotsam treasures washed in from the sea and into the harbour, including pearls, ambergris, coins, calcite, aragonite, jasper, narwhale horns and sapphires.

Crafters make spears with the Narwhale horns as tips and make perfumes and alchemists make potions with ambergris, with jewellery made from the pearls and other precious stones and the coins collected and given as a gift to the temple of the Sea Orcs. A party is held to commemorate the day, and all mix and celebrate in style, remembering a day of unexpecting favour and new allies. The red kelp is an instant success as it is made into bread and enjoyed by all. Theria takes the time to transport some of the red Kelp to Far Bear, Iceflow Bay, Grey Isle and the moat at Big Bear an extra food source will make each of these places more self reliant and in time help them grow.
