Locked together, Theria held down the Demonic Eldritch Nameless Terror. It attacked with infernal power curse energy against her, the shadows billowing from its form, trying to envelop Theria. Theria battled to invoke the force of nature's storm surge, thrusting her domain to suppress the Other's domain and trying to dominate it and to annihilate her opponent with energy.
Theria was still taking the protective herbs their protection helped, and she felt the energy flow through the branding and tattoos across her skin and the enchanted Clan Adalbern ancestral necklace of WereDireBear Canines, which she had been given when she had first become Warband Leader some years ago, this help improve her endurance and will power for the fight.
She was clearly winning and would soon overpower her opponent when a wave of shadow splashed down on top of her from the Tower, draining her and empowering her opponent.
She recovered, and then like an evenly matched heavyweight boxing match, they exchanged blows of green lightning and billowing shadow attacks, both taking the damage and then hitting right back, dealing the damage, a long grudge match that would be to the death.
Theria, again, over twelve hours, managed to fight her way back to regain the upper hand and to be in a position to win this fight when a second wave of shadow splashed down on top of her from the Tower, draining her and empowering her opponent, giving her opponent the upper hand. Still, she wrestled back, fighting all the way to take back control of the fight.
It soon became apparent that neither would get a quick opportunity to overpower the other; the battle became one of attrition; both tried to power the other into submission, but neither yielded, exchanging magical attacks after magical attacks.
The DireBear kept Zombies, Skeleton, Chaos Spawn and other such minions away, destroying them so they couldn't interfere in the fight. The DireBear couldn't help Theria, but it could ensure no one else from outside hindered Theria, which it did with zeal.
After over a night and a day of dualling, Theria again had pushed through into the ascendancy, although she worried about another attack from the Tower. Then a third wave of shadow splashed down over her from the Tower, draining her and empowering her opponent, giving her opponent the ascendency hand, but Theria was drained and couldn't go on for much longer now; she was spent and did the one thing that remained within her power before she would give up the ghost; she prayed for Divine intervention.
Miraculously a massive long green lightning bolt struck from the Heavens going through Theria, energising her and into the Nameless Terror, smiting them, every second a bolt of green heaven's fire broke out of the aether striking through Theria, building her up and then into the Nameless Terror diminishing them. Then there were two strikes at once every second, then three, then four, then five, then six, such power burning and withering the Nameless Terror from within, seven strikes at once with burning, churning power bubbling through Theria and making her opponent smoke, steam and shudder, eight strikes at once was in agony and burning from within, nine strikes at once the Nameless Terror seemed doomed, ten strikes at once the Nameless Terror looked to be on the brink of defeat, eleven strikes at once the Nameless Terror appeared defeated, and then twelve strikes at once annihilating the Namless Terror, exorcising it from our dimension forever.
Theria was energised, took her herbs, remembering how important these were, and thanked the Maker for the Green lightning intervention. She blessed the wizard's Tower and entered, climbing the stairs with green lightning going off repeatedly, purifying the place and changing the atmosphere. Inside were five open portals. She fired green lightning at the portals and into the room, but whatever was here had already left through the portals. She could see they were temporary and that they had a while to run, so taking over each to maintain them, she put her head through the first one following a green lightning surge, she did not know where this was, but then she did the stars showed this was somewhere on the Dark Continent, she closed the portal remaining in the Tower and looked at the second Portal it was too a mountainous area. Still, she could sense nothing; it was daylight, so she couldn't make out where it was, but it looked isolated; she went back and closed the portal. The third Portal she arrived at went to Grey Isle, and she recognised it immediately; she sensed the need to leave this portal open and went to the fourth portal; it was to a desert region with some light, and no stars were visible, but with a track of footprints leading away from the Portal, she sent the DireBear to catch whatever it was and bring it back if the bear could. It ran thundering off while Theria maintained the portals. Another surge of green lightning and she looked through the last portal; it was to a nether dimension of some kind filled with this may be where the demonic being had planned to return if it was defeated; Theria didn't want this portal open; so she closed it. Theria dusted herself down, rolling around on the floor and fighting a marathon wrestling match meant she needed to redo her hair which she did and ate some rations and waited for the return of the DireBear.

When the DireBear returned, it had a human in its mouth and dropped it on the floor in front of Theria. Wherever it was going, they had managed to intercept it before it got there. Theria sent the DireBear through to Grey Isle and asked if it could smell another that smelt like the one it bought before. The DireBear felt it could detect traces of the Tower incense upon the first one it captured, so it entered Grey Isle to hunt while Theria kept the last portal open. Theria struck the person repeatedly with green lightning blessing them; her ring was red at first when it turned blue; she asked the person their name, and they replied Gerald; then she asked them what their role was, and they revealed they were a spy working for their Master, they confirmed that their Master was dead they were released from their BindingOath to the being as it was no longer active on this plane and their anchor had been destroyed by Theria so they had no way back or to enforce any magic here anymore. She asked Gerald about the five portals; he confirmed the fifth one was a path of return for the demonic essence, something the long attack had prevented, and closing the portal helped. Gerald confirmed that the other three portals were for agents, another human at Grey Isle, I asked what they had done, and he confirmed that they had been the ones to kill my mother and another human King recently. The Nameless Terror did have a dark protégé, and it was they that had gone to the Dark Continent, and a Gargoyle messenger was the one sent to the Mountain area on another continent. Gerald swore service to Theria, and he sent Gerald through the portal to Grey Isle to report to the Sea Elves and Baroness Grey what had happened and ask for a lift to the capital to report to Countess Threadstore and Sideswipe; he agreed and went through the portal, shortly after the DireBear returned with a human in his mouth passed out. Theria charged them with green lightning blessings until they came around, and this time Theria's ring was green. Sam stood before Theria, Sam apologised for killing Theria's mother, for she knew who she was, and she admitted a life debt to Theria and offered to swear service for many other deeds the assassin had committed. I agreed that she, too, could report to Sideswipe and for her to follow Gerald and having sent her through the Grey Isle portal, Theria closed it.
Theria searched the Tower finding some interesting items which the green lightning destroyed or transformed, and those it spent time on she took for later study until, from the rafters to the cellar, the building was clear. Then Theria exited the Tower, and waiting for her was a large triangular table; sitting on the other two sides of the table were the Necromancer and the Chaosmage, and they invited Theria to join them and chat with them. A chair was set for Theria, and surreally the Necromancer was engaged in brewing tea as she watched and the Chaosmage was making breakfast. There was also a horde of interesting creatures keeping a respectful distance away; Theria stretched her shoulders, tucked her plaited hair down the back of her armour just in case, as she would hate to lose her hair unnecessarily and put her helmet back on.
