*beep beep*
The alarm I set in my phone went off, and with that, my day has officially started. The unfamiliar room instantly reminded me of what has happened so far, and well, I'm not too stoked.
I got up from the couch and went to freshen up; after finishing with that, I came back to my room. I consider it good practice to not eat food immediately after waking up and to drink some salt water. It helps to increase my energy.
Since I was young, I always wanted to live a healthy lifestyle, one that is funded by my own money and hard work. A lifestyle that makes me physically and mentally better. A lifestyle in which there would be no toxicity, like at the orphanage or at my workplace. A lifestyle that would make me happy, but it all comes at a price that I have never been able to afford.
In my whole life, I was surrounded by people who have always wanted to feel superior to me. I never understood why, but I do now. I acted weak, and that made me weak. Yes, my physical weakness was there, but still I had my mind. Which was not sharpened enough to deal with them, but just like how a knife is grinded for it to be sharpened, I was too, and I'm grateful to be where I'm now.
What is life without pain or excitement? Nothing, but even with both, one more factor is necessary: discipline. I learned that the hard way, but I'm grateful I did manage to learn it. My powers are a newer addition to my life, along with the other stuff.
There were theories that I wanted to test out, one being that if there is a limit to what I can absorb, it certainly didn't seem like it, seeing as I had already absorbed a variety of different things. Now that I've mentioned it, I have to get rid of the zombie leg. Maybe when I leave the house, or better yet, to use it as bait. I probably would've never thought about using another human's leg as bait, but experience changes you either for the worst or for the best. I can only wait and see what happens with me.
I have to keep on investing more time into this power. The second question is size or weight limit. I decided to use my one empty slot to absorb the coffee table; it worked. I discarded it and then went on to experiment with bigger and heavier things in the house, like appliances and stuff. After some experimentation, I've come to a conclusion.
My guess is that I can only absorb around two square meters of mass. Now obviously, this is not a fixed value, and it also seems that there isn't a weight limit. This may be proven wrong, or it could be the fact that there might be no gravity where the items are being stored.
Speaking of which, the third question is: does time pass wherever they're being stored? I decided to absorb my phone by replacing it with my chip bag, and I checked after a few minutes, and well, it doesn't.

This power is amazing!
The possibilities are endless; I could practically do whatever I want with this. Another neat thing is that because time doesn't pass, I can just leave my phone in my mind and not worry about it's battery life. My phone basically contains the guide to everything. I was paranoid by the fact that if I lost it, I was doomed, even though I memorized some things, but it's better to have the book than the student.
I also came up with the idea of food crates or packs. I planned on absorbing one and duplicating them according to my needs; this way I wouldn't have to worry about food anywhere. Oh, and I also noticed that the more complex an item is, the more it'll be a burden for my mind to duplicate.
Although I'm defining it now when I already went through it several times. I should've realized that far earlier. I guess I was just too focused on the zombies and whatever, but I have to focus now. I can't make excuses; there is no one here to hear them.
I decided to absorb two food crates, just so it'll be less of a strain on my mind, the mental strain does get less and less after practice, but it does not serve my short-term needs, which are the most necessary for now.
I decided to get a cardboard box; it reached my knees and was about twice as long. It had potatoes, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, onions, garlic, kale, etc. A lot of them were in fish nets, and some were just laid out open, and I also put in some baking soda in a small container right in the middle of the box, just to eliminate the smell.
Although time is stopped in the storage space, it wouldn't hurt to think long-term. For the second container it was a bit smaller in size, like 20% smaller, so I decided to put in two egg cartons, three milk cartons, some basic condiments/ingredients like salt, pepper, sugar, baking soda, vinegar, flour, vegetable cooking oil, soap, dish, detergents, disinfectants (although I had some already), etc., all in reasonable quantities, along with some meat like beef and chicken.
Halfway through the process, I studied things for my dream home, and I realized that I needed a lot more things for a safe and functional base because, God forbid, the zombies may just get better over time.
It's like they get used to their bodies, or rather I should be asking who is "they"? Is it a parasite? It's clear that to kill a zombie you have to aim for the head, but what is the root cause of them becoming zombies? I think I might have to catch one to find out.
